יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ believe ya·’ă·mî·nū לִ֔י me lî וְלֹ֥א or wə·lō יִשְׁמְע֖וּ listen yiš·mə·‘ū בְּקֹלִ֑י to my voice ? bə·qō·lî כִּ֣י For kî יֹֽאמְר֔וּ they may say , yō·mə·rū יְהוָֽה׃ ‘ YHWH Yah·weh לֹֽא־ has not lō- נִרְאָ֥ה appeared nir·’āh אֵלֶ֖יךָ to you .’ ” ’ê·le·ḵā Exodus 4:2 יְהוָ֖ה And YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֧אמֶר asked way·yō·mer אֵלָ֛יו him , ’ê·lāw מַזֶּה “ What is that maz·zɛh בְיָדֶ֑ךָ in your hand ? ” ḇə·yā·ḏe·ḵā מַטֶּֽה׃ “ A staff , ” maṭ·ṭeh וַיֹּ֖אמֶר he replied . way·yō·mer Exodus 4:3 הַשְׁלִיכֵ֣הוּ “ Throw haš·lî·ḵê·hū אַ֔רְצָה it on the ground , ” ’ar·ṣāh וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ said [YHWH] . way·yō·mer וַיַּשְׁלִיכֵ֥הוּ So [Moses] threw way·yaš·lî·ḵê·hū אַ֖רְצָה it on the ground , ’ar·ṣāh וַיְהִ֣י and it became way·hî לְנָחָ֑שׁ a snake , lə·nā·ḥāš מֹשֶׁ֖ה and [he] mō·šeh וַיָּ֥נָס ran way·yā·nās מִפָּנָֽיו׃ from it . mip·pā·nāw Exodus 4:4 שְׁלַח֙ “ Stretch out šə·laḥ יָֽדְךָ֔ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā וֶאֱחֹ֖ז and grab it we·’ĕ·ḥōz בִּזְנָב֑וֹ by the tail , ” biz·nā·ḇōw יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח [who] reached out way·yiš·laḥ יָדוֹ֙ his hand yā·ḏōw וַיַּ֣חֲזֶק and caught way·ya·ḥă·zeq בּ֔וֹ [the snake] , bōw וַיְהִ֥י and it turned back way·hî לְמַטֶּ֖ה into a staff lə·maṭ·ṭeh בְּכַפּֽוֹ׃ in his hand . bə·ḵap·pōw Exodus 4:5 לְמַ֣עַן “ This is so that lə·ma·‘an יַאֲמִ֔ינוּ they may believe ya·’ă·mî·nū כִּֽי־ that kî- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֣י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲבֹתָ֑ם of their fathers — ’ă·ḇō·ṯām אֱלֹהֵ֧י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אַבְרָהָ֛ם of Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִצְחָ֖ק of Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq וֵאלֹהֵ֥י and the God wê·lō·hê יַעֲקֹֽב׃ of Jacob — ya·‘ă·qōḇ נִרְאָ֥ה has appeared nir·’āh אֵלֶ֛יךָ to you . ” ’ê·le·ḵā Exodus 4:6 ע֗וֹד Furthermore , ‘ō·wḏ יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמֶר֩ said way·yō·mer ל֜וֹ to [Moses] , lōw הָֽבֵא־ “ Put hā·ḇê- נָ֤א . . . nā יָֽדְךָ֙ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā בְּחֵיקֶ֔ךָ inside your cloak . ” bə·ḥê·qe·ḵā וַיָּבֵ֥א So he put way·yā·ḇê יָד֖וֹ his hand yā·ḏōw בְּחֵיק֑וֹ inside his cloak , bə·ḥê·qōw וַיּ֣וֹצִאָ֔הּ and when he took it out , way·yō·w·ṣi·’āh וְהִנֵּ֥ה . . . wə·hin·nêh יָד֖וֹ his hand yā·ḏōw מְצֹרַ֥עַת [was] leprous , mə·ṣō·ra·‘aṯ כַּשָּֽׁלֶג׃ white as snow . kaš·šā·leḡ Exodus 4:7 יָֽדְךָ֙ “ Put your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā הָשֵׁ֤ב back hā·šêḇ אֶל־ inside ’el- חֵיקֶ֔ךָ your cloak , ” ḥê·qe·ḵā וַיֹּ֗אמֶר said [YHWH] . way·yō·mer יָד֖וֹ So [Moses] put his hand yā·ḏōw וַיָּ֥שֶׁב back way·yā·šeḇ אֶל־ inside ’el- חֵיק֑וֹ his cloak , ḥê·qōw
