הַסְּנֶ֗ה the bush , has·sə·neh מֹשֶׁ֥ה “ Moses , mō·šeh מֹשֶׁ֖ה Moses ! ” mō·šeh הִנֵּֽנִי׃ “ Here hin·nê·nî וַיֹּ֛אמֶר I am , ” way·yō·mer וַיֹּ֥אמֶר he answered . way·yō·mer Exodus 3:5 אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּקְרַ֣ב come tiq·raḇ הֲלֹ֑ם any closer , ” hă·lōm וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [God] said . way·yō·mer שַׁל־ “ Take off šal- נְעָלֶ֙יךָ֙ your sandals nə·‘ā·le·ḵā מֵעַ֣ל . . . mê·‘al רַגְלֶ֔יךָ . . . , raḡ·le·ḵā כִּ֣י for kî הַמָּק֗וֹם the place ham·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֤ר where ’ă·šer אַתָּה֙ you ’at·tāh עוֹמֵ֣ד are standing ‘ō·w·mêḏ עָלָ֔יו . . . ‘ā·lāw קֹ֖דֶשׁ is holy qō·ḏeš הֽוּא׃ . . . hū אַדְמַת־ ground . ” ’aḏ·maṯ- Exodus 3:6 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר Then He said , way·yō·mer אָנֹכִי֙ “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî אֱלֹהֵ֣י am the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אָבִ֔יךָ of your father , ’ā·ḇî·ḵā אֱלֹהֵ֧י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אַבְרָהָ֛ם of Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām אֱלֹהֵ֥י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִצְחָ֖ק of Isaac , yiṣ·ḥāq וֵאלֹהֵ֣י and the God wê·lō·hê יַעֲקֹ֑ב of Jacob . ” ya·‘ă·qōḇ מֹשֶׁה֙ At this, Moses mō·šeh וַיַּסְתֵּ֤ר hid way·yas·têr פָּנָ֔יו his face , pā·nāw כִּ֣י for kî יָרֵ֔א he was afraid yā·rê מֵהַבִּ֖יט to look mê·hab·bîṭ אֶל־ at ’el- הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm Exodus 3:7 יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said , way·yō·mer רָאֹ֥ה “ I have indeed seen rā·’ōh רָאִ֛יתִי . . . rā·’î·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֳנִ֥י the affliction ‘o·nî עַמִּ֖י of My people ‘am·mî אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם in Egypt . bə·miṣ·rā·yim וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ I have heard them šā·ma‘·tî צַעֲקָתָ֤ם crying out ṣa·‘ă·qā·ṯām מִפְּנֵ֣י because of mip·pə·nê נֹֽגְשָׂ֔יו their oppressors , nō·ḡə·śāw כִּ֥י and kî יָדַ֖עְתִּי I am aware yā·ḏa‘·tî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַכְאֹבָֽיו׃ of their sufferings . maḵ·’ō·ḇāw Exodus 3:8 וָאֵרֵ֞ד I have come down wā·’ê·rêḏ לְהַצִּיל֣וֹ׀ to rescue them lə·haṣ·ṣî·lōw מִן־ from min- מִיַּ֣ד the hand mî·yaḏ מִצְרַ֗יִם of the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim וּֽלְהַעֲלֹתוֹ֮ and to bring them up ū·lə·ha·‘ă·lō·ṯōw הַהִוא֒ out of that ha·hi·w הָאָ֣רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ אֶל־ to ’el- טוֹבָה֙ a good ṭō·w·ḇāh וּרְחָבָ֔ה and spacious ū·rə·ḥā·ḇāh אֶל־ . . . ’el- אֶ֤רֶץ land , ’e·reṣ אֶ֛רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ זָבַ֥ת flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָ֖ב with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבָ֑שׁ and honey — ū·ḏə·ḇāš אֶל־ . . . ’el- מְק֤וֹם the home mə·qō·wm הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ of the Canaanites , hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י Hittites , wə·ha·ḥit·tî וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ Amorites , wə·hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י Perizzites , wə·hap·pə·riz·zî וְהַחִוִּ֖י Hivites , wə·ha·ḥiw·wî וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃ and Jebusites . wə·hay·ḇū·sî Exodus 3:9 וְעַתָּ֕ה And now wə·‘at·tāh
