יִשְׁפֹּֽט׃ He renders judgment yiš·pōṭ בְּקֶ֖רֶב among bə·qe·reḇ אֱלֹהִ֣ים the gods : ’ĕ·lō·hîm Psalm 82:2 עַד־ “ How long ‘aḏ- מָתַ֥י . . . mā·ṯay תִּשְׁפְּטוּ־ will you judge tiš·pə·ṭū- עָ֑וֶל unjustly ‘ā·wel וּפְנֵ֥י and show partiality ū·p̄ə·nê תִּשְׂאוּ־ . . . tiś·’ū- רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים to the wicked ? rə·šā·‘îm סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 82:3 שִׁפְטוּ־ Defend the cause šip̄·ṭū- דַ֥ל of the weak ḏal וְיָת֑וֹם and fatherless ; wə·yā·ṯō·wm הַצְדִּֽיקוּ׃ uphold the rights haṣ·dî·qū עָנִ֖י of the afflicted ‘ā·nî וָרָ֣שׁ and oppressed . wā·rāš Psalm 82:4 פַּלְּטוּ־ Rescue pal·lə·ṭū- דַ֥ל the weak ḏal וְאֶבְי֑וֹן and needy ; wə·’eḇ·yō·wn הַצִּֽילוּ׃ save them haṣ·ṣî·lū מִיַּ֖ד from the hand mî·yaḏ רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked . rə·šā·‘îm Psalm 82:5 לֹ֤א They do not lō יָֽדְע֨וּ׀ know yā·ḏə·‘ū וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō יָבִ֗ינוּ or understand ; yā·ḇî·nū יִתְהַלָּ֑כוּ they wander yiṯ·hal·lā·ḵū בַּחֲשֵׁכָ֥ה in the darkness ; ba·ḥă·šê·ḵāh כָּל־ all kāl- מ֥וֹסְדֵי the foundations mō·ws·ḏê אָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth ’ā·reṣ יִ֝מּ֗וֹטוּ are shaken . yim·mō·w·ṭū Psalm 82:6 אֲ I ’ănî- אָ֭מַרְתִּי have said , ’ā·mar·tî אַתֶּ֑ם ‘ You ’at·tem אֱלֹהִ֣ים are gods ; ’ĕ·lō·hîm כֻּלְּכֶֽם׃ you are all kul·lə·ḵem וּבְנֵ֖י sons ū·ḇə·nê עֶלְי֣וֹן of the Most High . ’ ‘el·yō·wn Psalm 82:7 אָ֭כֵן But ’ā·ḵên כְּאָדָ֣ם like mortals kə·’ā·ḏām תְּמוּת֑וּן you will die , tə·mū·ṯūn וּכְאַחַ֖ד and like ū·ḵə·’a·ḥaḏ הַשָּׂרִ֣ים rulers haś·śā·rîm תִּפֹּֽלוּ׃ you will fall . ” tip·pō·lū Psalm 82:8 קוּמָ֣ה Arise , qū·māh אֱ֭לֹהִים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm שָׁפְטָ֣ה judge šā·p̄ə·ṭāh הָאָ֑רֶץ the earth , hā·’ā·reṣ כִּֽי־ for kî- בְּכָל־ all bə·ḵāl הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ the nations hag·gō·w·yim אַתָּ֥ה are Your ’at·tāh תִ֝נְחַ֗ל inheritance . ṯin·ḥal Psalm 83:1 שִׁ֖יר A song . šîr מִזְמ֣וֹר A Psalm miz·mō·wr לְאָסָֽף׃ of Asaph . lə·’ā·sāp̄ אֱלֹהִ֥ים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm אַל־ {be} not ’al- דֳּמִי־ silent ; do·mî- לָ֑ךְ lāḵ אַל־ {be} not ’al- תֶּחֱרַ֖שׁ speechless ; te·ḥĕ·raš וְאַל־ {be} not wə·’al- תִּשְׁקֹ֣ט still , tiš·qōṭ אֵֽל׃ O God . ’êl Psalm 83:2 הִנֵּ֣ה See hin·nêh כִּֽי־ how kî- א֭וֹיְבֶיךָ Your enemies ’ō·wy·ḇe·ḵā יֶהֱמָי֑וּן rage , ye·hĕ·mā·yūn וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֶ֗יךָ how Your foes ū·mə·śan·’e·ḵā נָ֣שְׂאוּ have reared nā·śə·’ū
