הֵכִ֣ין loyal , hê·ḵîn רוּחֽוֹ׃ whose spirit rū·ḥōw וְלֹא־ was not wə·lō- נֶאֶמְנָ֖ה faithful ne·’em·nāh אֶת־ to ’eṯ- אֵ֣ל God . ’êl Psalm 78:9 נוֹשְׁקֵ֥י The archers nō·wō·šə·qê רוֹמֵי־ . . . rō·w·mê- קָ֑שֶׁת . . . qā·šeṯ בְּֽנֵי־ vvv bə·nê- אֶפְרַ֗יִם of Ephraim ’ep̄·ra·yim הָ֝פְכ֗וּ turned back hā·p̄ə·ḵū בְּי֣וֹם on the day bə·yō·wm קְרָֽב׃ of battle . qə·rāḇ Psalm 78:10 לֹ֣א They failed lō שָׁ֭מְרוּ to keep mə·rū אֱלֹהִ֑ים God’s ’ĕ·lō·hîm בְּרִ֣ית covenant bə·rîṯ מֵאֲנ֥וּ and refused mê·’ă·nū לָלֶֽכֶת׃ to live lā·le·ḵeṯ וּ֝בְתוֹרָת֗וֹ by His law . ū·ḇə·ṯō·w·rā·ṯōw Psalm 78:11 וַיִּשְׁכְּח֥וּ They forgot way·yiš·kə·ḥū עֲלִילוֹתָ֑יו what He had done , ‘ă·lî·lō·w·ṯāw וְ֝נִפְלְאוֹתָ֗יו the wonders wə·nip̄·lə·’ō·w·ṯāw אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer הֶרְאָֽם׃ He had shown them . her·’ām Psalm 78:12 עָ֣שָׂה He worked ‘ā·śāh פֶ֑לֶא wonders p̄e·le נֶ֣גֶד before ne·ḡeḏ אֲ֭בוֹתָם their fathers ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām בְּאֶ֖רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֣יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim שְׂדֵה־ in the region śə·ḏêh- צֹֽעַן׃ of Zoan . ṣō·‘an Psalm 78:13 בָּ֣קַע He split bā·qa‘ יָ֭ם the sea yām וַיַּֽעֲבִירֵ֑ם and brought them through ; way·ya·‘ă·ḇî·rêm וַֽיַּצֶּב־ He set way·yaṣ·ṣeḇ- מַ֥יִם the waters {upright} ma·yim כְּמוֹ־ like kə·mōw- נֵֽד׃ a wall . nêḏ Psalm 78:14 וַיַּנְחֵ֣ם He led them way·yan·ḥêm בֶּעָנָ֣ן with a cloud be·‘ā·nān יוֹמָ֑ם by day yō·w·mām בְּא֣וֹר and with a light bə·’ō·wr אֵֽשׁ׃ of fire ’êš וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl הַ֝לַּ֗יְלָה night . hal·lay·lāh Psalm 78:15 יְבַקַּ֣ע He split yə·ḇaq·qa‘ צֻ֭רִים the rocks ṣu·rîm בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר in the wilderness bam·miḏ·bār וַ֝יַּ֗שְׁקְ and gave [them] drink way·yašq רַבָּֽה׃ as abundant rab·bāh כִּתְהֹמ֥וֹת as the seas . kiṯ·hō·mō·wṯ Psalm 78:16 וַיּוֹצִ֣א He brought way·yō·w·ṣi נוֹזְלִ֣ים streams nō·wz·lîm מִסָּ֑לַע from the stone mis·sā·la‘ מָֽיִם׃ and made water mā·yim וַיּ֖וֹרֶד flow down way·yō·w·reḏ כַּנְּהָר֣וֹת like rivers . kan·nə·hā·rō·wṯ Psalm 78:17 וַיּוֹסִ֣יפוּ But they continued way·yō·w·sî·p̄ū ע֭וֹד . . . ‘ō·wḏ לַחֲטֹא־ to sin la·ḥă·ṭō- ל֑וֹ against Him , lōw לַֽמְר֥וֹת rebelling lam·rō·wṯ בַּצִּיָּֽה׃ in the desert baṣ·ṣî·yāh עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן against the Most High . ‘el·yō·wn Psalm 78:18 בִּלְבָבָ֑ם They willfully bil·ḇā·ḇām וַיְנַסּוּ־ tested way·nas·sū- אֵ֥ל God ’êl
