קָ֘נִ֤יתָ which You purchased qā·nî·ṯā קֶּ֗דֶם long ago qe·ḏem גָּ֭אַלְתָּ and redeemed gā·’al·tā שֵׁ֣בֶט as the tribe šê·ḇeṭ נַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ of Your inheritance — na·ḥă·lā·ṯe·ḵā הַר־ Mount har- צִ֝יּ֗וֹן Zion ṣî·yō·wn זֶ֤ה׀ . . . zeh שָׁכַ֬נְתָּ where You dwell šā·ḵan·tā בּֽוֹ׃ . bōw Psalm 74:3 הָרִ֣ימָה Turn hā·rî·māh פְ֭עָמֶיךָ Your steps p̄ə·‘ā·me·ḵā נֶ֑צַח to the everlasting ne·ṣaḥ לְמַשֻּׁא֣וֹת ruins , lə·maš·šu·’ō·wṯ כָּל־ to everything kāl- בַּקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ in the sanctuary baq·qō·ḏeš אוֹיֵ֣ב the enemy ’ō·w·yêḇ הֵרַ֖ע has destroyed . hê·ra‘ Psalm 74:4 צֹ֭רְרֶיךָ Your foes ṣō·rə·re·ḵā שָׁאֲג֣וּ have roared šā·’ă·ḡū בְּקֶ֣רֶב within bə·qe·reḇ מוֹעֲדֶ֑ךָ Your meeting place ; mō·w·‘ă·ḏe·ḵā שָׂ֖מוּ they have unfurled śā·mū אוֹתֹתָ֣ם their banners ’ō·w·ṯō·ṯām אֹתֽוֹת׃ as signs , ’ō·ṯō·wṯ Psalm 74:5 יִ֭וָּדַע like men yiw·wā·ḏa‘ כְּמֵבִ֣יא wielding kə·mê·ḇî קַרְדֻּמּֽוֹת׃ axes qar·dum·mō·wṯ בִּֽסֲבָךְ־ in a thicket bi·să·ḇāḵ- עֵ֝֗ץ of trees ‘êṣ לְמָ֑עְלָה lə·mā·‘ə·lāh Psalm 74:6 וְעֵת and wə·ʿēṯ יַהֲלֹמֽוּן׃ smashing ya·hă·lō·mūn יָּ֑חַד all yā·ḥaḏ פִּתּוּחֶ֣יהָ the carvings pit·tū·ḥe·hā בְּכַשִּׁ֥יל with hatchets bə·ḵaš·šîl וְ֝כֵֽילַפֹּ֗ת and picks . wə·ḵê·lap·pōṯ Psalm 74:7 שִׁלְח֣וּ They have burned šil·ḥū בָ֭אֵשׁ . . . ḇā·’êš מִקְדָּשֶׁ֑ךָ Your sanctuary miq·dā·še·ḵā לָ֝אָ֗רֶץ to the ground ; lā·’ā·reṣ חִלְּל֥וּ they have defiled ḥil·lə·lū מִֽשְׁכַּן־ the dwelling place miš·kan- שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ of Your Name . šə·me·ḵā Psalm 74:8 אָמְר֣וּ They said ’ā·mə·rū בְ֭לִבָּם in their hearts , ḇə·lib·bām נִינָ֣ם “ We will crush them nî·nām יָ֑חַד completely . ” yā·ḥaḏ שָׂרְפ֖וּ They burned down śā·rə·p̄ū כָל־ every ḵāl מוֹעֲדֵי־ place mō·w·‘ă·ḏê- אֵ֣ל where God met us ’êl בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ in the land . bā·’ā·reṣ Psalm 74:9 לֹ֥א There are no lō אֽוֹתֹתֵ֗ינוּ signs ’ō·w·ṯō·ṯê·nū רָ֫אִ֥ינוּ for us to see . rā·’î·nū אֵֽין־ There is no ’ên- ע֥וֹד longer ‘ō·wḏ נָבִ֑יא any prophet . nā·ḇî וְלֹֽא־ And none wə·lō- אִ֝תָּ֗נוּ of us ’it·tā·nū יֹדֵ֥עַ knows yō·ḏê·a‘ עַד־ how long ‘aḏ- מָֽה׃ this will last . māh Psalm 74:10 עַד־ How long ‘aḏ- מָתַ֣י . . . , mā·ṯay אֱ֭לֹהִים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm צָ֑ר will the enemy ṣār יְחָ֣רֶף taunt You ? yə·ḥā·rep̄ אוֹיֵ֖ב Will the foe ’ō·w·yêḇ יְנָ֘אֵ֤ץ revile yə·nā·’êṣ שִׁמְךָ֣ Your name šim·ḵā לָנֶֽצַח׃ forever ? lā·ne·ṣaḥ
