וּמֵ֥י waters ū·mê מָ֝לֵ֗א in abundance . mā·lê Psalm 73:11 וְֽאָמְר֗וּ The wicked say , wə·’ā·mə·rū אֵיכָ֥ה “ How ’ê·ḵāh אֵ֑ל can God ’êl וְיֵ֖שׁ . . . wə·yêš יָדַֽע־ know ? yā·ḏa‘- בְעֶלְיֽוֹן׃ Does the Most High ḇə·‘el·yō·wn דֵּעָ֣ה have knowledge ? ” dê·‘āh Psalm 73:12 הִנֵּה־ Behold , hin·nêh- אֵ֥לֶּה these [are] ’êl·leh רְשָׁעִ֑ים the wicked — rə·šā·‘îm ע֝וֹלָ֗ם always ‘ō·w·lām וְשַׁלְוֵ֥י carefree wə·šal·wê הִשְׂגּוּ־ as they increase hiś·gū- חָֽיִל׃ their wealth . ḥā·yil Psalm 73:13 אַךְ־ Surely ’aḵ- רִ֭יק in vain rîq זִכִּ֣יתִי I have kept my heart pure zik·kî·ṯî לְבָבִ֑י . . . ; lə·ḇā·ḇî בְּנִקָּי֣וֹן in innocence bə·niq·qā·yō·wn וָאֶרְחַ֖ץ I have washed wā·’er·ḥaṣ כַּפָּֽי׃ my hands . kap·pāy Psalm 73:14 וָאֱהִ֣י For I am wā·’ĕ·hî נָ֭גוּעַ afflicted nā·ḡū·a‘ כָּל־ all day long kāl- הַיּ֑וֹם . . . hay·yō·wm וְ֝תוֹכַחְתִּ֗י and punished every morning wə·ṯō·w·ḵaḥ·tî לַבְּקָרִֽים׃ . . . . lab·bə·qā·rîm Psalm 73:15 אִם־ If ’im- אָ֭מַרְתִּי I had said , ’ā·mar·tî אֲסַפְּרָ֥ה “ I will speak ’ă·sap·pə·rāh כְמ֑וֹ this way , ” ḵə·mōw הִנֵּ֤ה then hin·nêh בָגָֽדְתִּי׃ I would have betrayed ḇā·ḡā·ḏə·tî ד֭וֹר vvv ḏō·wr בָּנֶ֣יךָ Your children . bā·ne·ḵā Psalm 73:16 וָֽ֭אֲחַשְּׁבָה When I tried wā·’ă·ḥaš·šə·ḇāh לָדַ֣עַת to understand lā·ḏa·‘aṯ זֹ֑את all this , zōṯ הִיא it hī עָמָ֖ל was troublesome ‘ā·māl בְעֵינָֽי׃ in my sight ḇə·‘ê·nāy Psalm 73:17 עַד־ until ‘aḏ- אָ֭בוֹא I entered ’ā·ḇō·w אֶל־ . . . ’el- אֵ֑ל God’s ’êl מִקְדְּשֵׁי־ sanctuary ; miq·də·šê- אָ֝בִ֗ינָה then I discerned ’ā·ḇî·nāh לְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃ their end . lə·’a·ḥă·rî·ṯām Psalm 73:18 אַ֣ךְ Surely ’aḵ תָּשִׁ֣ית You set tā·šîṯ לָ֑מוֹ them lā·mōw בַּ֭חֲלָקוֹת on slick ground ; ba·ḥă·lā·qō·wṯ הִ֝פַּלְתָּ֗ם You cast them down hip·pal·tām לְמַשּׁוּאֽוֹת׃ into ruin . lə·maš·šū·’ō·wṯ Psalm 73:19 אֵ֤יךְ How ’êḵ כְרָ֑גַע suddenly ḵə·rā·ḡa‘ הָי֣וּ they are hā·yū לְשַׁמָּ֣ה laid waste , lə·šam·māh תַ֝֗מּוּ completely ṯam·mū סָ֥פוּ swept away sā·p̄ū מִן־ by min- בַּלָּהֽוֹת׃ terrors ! bal·lā·hō·wṯ Psalm 73:20 מֵהָקִ֑יץ Like [one] waking mê·hā·qîṣ כַּחֲל֥וֹם from a dream , ka·ḥă·lō·wm אֲ֝דֹנָי so You, O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy בָּעִ֤יר׀ awaken bā·‘îr תִּבְזֶֽה׃ [and] despise tiḇ·zeh צַלְמָ֬ם their form . ṣal·mām
