אַֽל־ do not ’al- תַּעַזְבֵֽנִי׃ forsake me ta·‘az·ḇê·nî כֹּ֝חִ֗י when my strength kō·ḥî כִּכְל֥וֹת fails . kiḵ·lō·wṯ Psalm 71:10 כִּֽי־ For kî- אוֹיְבַ֣י my enemies ’ō·wy·ḇay אָמְר֣וּ speak ’ā·mə·rū לִ֑י against me , lî וְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י and those who lie in wait wə·šō·mə·rê נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י for my life nap̄·šî נוֹעֲצ֥וּ conspire nō·w·‘ă·ṣū יַחְדָּֽו׃ . . . , yaḥ·dāw Psalm 71:11 לֵ֭אמֹר saying , lê·mōr אֱלֹהִ֣ים “ God ’ĕ·lō·hîm עֲזָב֑וֹ has forsaken him ; ‘ă·zā·ḇōw רִֽדְפ֥וּ pursue him riḏ·p̄ū וְ֝תִפְשׂ֗וּהוּ and seize him , wə·ṯip̄·śū·hū כִּי־ for kî- אֵ֥ין there is no ’ên מַצִּֽיל׃ one to rescue him . ” maṣ·ṣîl Psalm 71:12 אַל־ Be not ’al- תִּרְחַ֣ק far tir·ḥaq מִמֶּ֑נִּי from me , mim·men·nî אֱ֭לֹהִים O God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm חִישָׁה׃ Hurry , ḥī·šå̄h אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י O my God , ’ĕ·lō·hay לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי to help me . lə·‘ez·rā·ṯî Psalm 71:13 שֹׂטְנֵ֪י May the accusers śō·ṭə·nê נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י of my soul nap̄·šî יֵבֹ֣שׁוּ be ashamed yê·ḇō·šū יִכְלוּ֮ [and] consumed ; yiḵ·lū מְ֝בַקְשֵׁ֗י may those who seek mə·ḇaq·šê רָעָתִֽי׃ my harm rā·‘ā·ṯî יַֽעֲט֣וּ be covered ya·‘ă·ṭū חֶ֭רְפָּה with scorn ḥer·pāh וּכְלִמָּ֑ה and disgrace . ū·ḵə·lim·māh Psalm 71:14 וַ֭אֲנִי But I wa·’ă·nî תָּמִ֣יד will always tā·mîḏ אֲיַחֵ֑ל hope ’ă·ya·ḥêl תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ and will praise tə·hil·lā·ṯe·ḵā וְ֝הוֹסַפְתִּ֗י You more wə·hō·w·sap̄·tî עַל־ and ‘al- כָּל־ more . kāl- Psalm 71:15 פִּ֤י׀ My mouth pî יְסַפֵּ֬ר will declare yə·sap·pêr צִדְקָתֶ֗ךָ Your righteousness ṣiḏ·qā·ṯe·ḵā תְּשׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ and Your salvation tə·šū·‘ā·ṯe·ḵā כָּל־ all day long kāl- הַיּ֥וֹם . . . , hay·yō·wm כִּ֤י though kî לֹ֖א I cannot lō יָדַ֣עְתִּי know yā·ḏa‘·tî סְפֹרֽוֹת׃ their full measure . sə·p̄ō·rō·wṯ Psalm 71:16 אָב֗וֹא I will enter ’ā·ḇō·w בִּ֭גְבֻרוֹת in the strength biḡ·ḇu·rō·wṯ אֲדֹנָ֣י of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֑ה GOD ; Yah·weh אַזְכִּ֖יר I will proclaim ’az·kîr צִדְקָתְךָ֣ Your righteousness — ṣiḏ·qā·ṯə·ḵā לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ Yours alone . lə·ḇad·de·ḵā Psalm 71:17 אֱ O God , ’ĕlō·hîm לִמַּדְתַּ֥נִי You have taught me lim·maḏ·ta·nî מִנְּעוּרָ֑י from my youth , min·nə·‘ū·rāy וְעַד־ and to this day wə·‘aḏ- הֵ֝֗נָּה . . . hên·nāh אַגִּ֥יד I proclaim ’ag·gîḏ נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Your marvelous deeds . nip̄·lə·’ō·w·ṯe·ḵā Psalm 71:18 וְגַ֤ם Even wə·ḡam עַד־ when ‘aḏ- זִקְנָ֨ה׀ I am old ziq·nāh וְשֵׂיבָה֮ and gray , wə·śê·ḇāh אַֽל־ do not ’al- תַּעַ֫זְבֵ֥נִי forsake me , ta·‘az·ḇê·nî
