לִּ֥י to me , lî אֱלֹהִ֪ים O God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm אַ֑תָּה You ’at·tāh עֶזְרִ֣י are my help ‘ez·rî וּמְפַלְטִ֣י and my deliverer ; ū·mə·p̄al·ṭî יְ֝הוָ֗ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אַל־ do not ’al- תְּאַחַֽר׃ delay . tə·’a·ḥar Psalm 71:1 בְּךָֽ־ In You , bə·ḵā- יְהוָ֥ה O YHWH , Yah·weh חָסִ֑יתִי I have taken refuge ; ḥā·sî·ṯî אַל־ let me never ’al- לְעוֹלָֽם׃ . . . lə·‘ō·w·lām אֵב֥וֹשָׁה be put to shame . ’ê·ḇō·wō·šāh Psalm 71:2 בְּצִדְקָתְךָ֗ In Your justice , bə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯə·ḵā תַּצִּילֵ֥נִי rescue taṣ·ṣî·lê·nî וּֽתְפַלְּטֵ֑נִי and deliver me ; ū·ṯə·p̄al·lə·ṭê·nî הַטֵּֽה־ incline haṭ·ṭêh- אָ֝זְנְךָ֗ Your ear ’ā·zə·nə·ḵā אֵלַ֥י - ’ê·lay וְהוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃ and save me . wə·hō·wō·šî·‘ê·nî Psalm 71:3 הֱיֵ֤ה Be hĕ·yêh לִ֨י׀ . . . lî לְצ֥וּר my rock lə·ṣūr מָע֡וֹן of refuge , mā·‘ō·wn תָּמִ֗יד where I can always tā·mîḏ לָב֗וֹא go . lā·ḇō·w צִוִּ֥יתָ Give the command ṣiw·wî·ṯā לְהוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי to save me , lə·hō·wō·šî·‘ê·nî כִּֽי־ for kî- אָֽתָּה׃ You ’āt·tāh סַלְעִ֖י are my rock sal·‘î וּמְצוּדָתִ֣י and my fortress . ū·mə·ṣū·ḏā·ṯî Psalm 71:4 פַּ֭לְּטֵנִי Deliver me , pal·lə·ṭê·nî אֱ O my God , ’ĕlō·hay מִיַּ֣ד from the hand mî·yaḏ רָשָׁ֑ע of the wicked , rā·šā‘ מִכַּ֖ף from the grasp mik·kap̄ מְעַוֵּ֣ל of the unjust mə·‘aw·wêl וְחוֹמֵץ׃ and ruthless . wə·ḥō·mēṣ Psalm 71:5 כִּֽי־ For kî- אַתָּ֥ה You ’at·tāh תִקְוָתִ֑י are my hope , ṯiq·wā·ṯî אֲדֹנָ֥י O Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְ֝הוִ֗ה GOD , Yah·weh מִבְטַחִ֥י my confidence miḇ·ṭa·ḥî מִנְּעוּרָֽי׃ from my youth . min·nə·‘ū·rāy Psalm 71:6 נִסְמַ֬כְתִּי I have leaned nis·maḵ·tî עָלֶ֤יךָ׀ on You ‘ā·le·ḵā מִבֶּ֗טֶן since birth ; mib·be·ṭen אַתָּ֣ה You ’at·tāh גוֹזִ֑י pulled me ḡō·w·zî אִ֭מִּי from my mother’s ’im·mî מִמְּעֵ֣י womb . mim·mə·‘ê תְהִלָּתִ֣י My praise ṯə·hil·lā·ṯî תָמִֽיד׃ is always ṯā·mîḏ בְּךָ֖ for You . bə·ḵā Psalm 71:7 הָיִ֣יתִי I have become hā·yî·ṯî כְּ֭מוֹפֵת a portent kə·mō·w·p̄êṯ לְרַבִּ֑ים to many , lə·rab·bîm וְ֝אַתָּ֗ה but You wə·’at·tāh עֹֽז׃ are my strong ‘ōz מַֽחֲסִי־ refuge . ma·ḥă·sî- Psalm 71:8 פִ֭י My mouth p̄î יִמָּ֣לֵא is filled yim·mā·lê תְּהִלָּתֶ֑ךָ [with] Your praise tə·hil·lā·ṯe·ḵā תִּפְאַרְתֶּֽךָ׃ [and with] Your splendor tip̄·’ar·te·ḵā כָּל־ all kāl- הַ֝יּ֗וֹם day long . hay·yō·wm Psalm 71:9 אַֽל־ Do not ’al- תַּ֭שְׁלִיכֵנִי discard me taš·lî·ḵê·nî לְעֵ֣ת . . . lə·‘êṯ זִקְנָ֑ה in my old age ; ziq·nāh
