מִצָּ֑ר against the enemy , miṣ·ṣār תְּשׁוּעַ֥ת for the help tə·šū·‘aṯ אָדָם׃ of man ʾå̄·ḏå̄m וְ֝שָׁ֗וְא is worthless . wə·šāw Psalm 60:12 בֵּֽאלֹהִ֥ים With God bê·lō·hîm נַעֲשֶׂה־ we will perform na·‘ă·śeh- חָ֑יִל with valor , ḥā·yil וְ֝ה֗וּא and He wə·hū יָב֥וּס will trample yā·ḇūs צָרֵֽינוּ׃ our enemies . ṣā·rê·nū Psalm 61:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ׀ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ עַֽל־ With ‘al- נְגִינַ֬ת stringed instruments . nə·ḡî·naṯ לְדָוִֽד׃ Of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ שִׁמְעָ֣ה Hear šim·‘āh רִנָּתִ֑י my cry , rin·nā·ṯî אֱ֭לֹהִים O God ; ’ĕ·lō·hîm הַ֝קְשִׁ֗יבָה attend haq·šî·ḇāh תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃ to my prayer . tə·p̄il·lā·ṯî Psalm 61:2 מִקְצֵ֤ה From the ends miq·ṣêh הָאָ֨רֶץ׀ of the earth hā·’ā·reṣ אֶ֭קְרָא I call out ’eq·rā אֵלֶ֣יךָ to You ’ê·le·ḵā לִבִּ֑י whenever my heart lib·bî בַּעֲטֹ֣ף is faint . ba·‘ă·ṭōp̄ תַנְחֵֽנִי׃ Lead me ṯan·ḥê·nî בְּצוּר־ to the rock bə·ṣūr- יָר֖וּם [that] is higher yā·rūm מִמֶּ֣נִּי than I . mim·men·nî Psalm 61:3 כִּֽי־ For kî- הָיִ֣יתָ You have been hā·yî·ṯā מַחְסֶ֣ה my refuge maḥ·seh לִ֑י , lî מִגְדַּל־ a tower miḡ·dal- עֹ֝֗ז of strength ‘ōz מִפְּנֵ֥י against mip·pə·nê אוֹיֵֽב׃ the enemy . ’ō·w·yêḇ Psalm 61:4 אָג֣וּרָה Let me dwell ’ā·ḡū·rāh בְ֭אָהָלְךָ in Your tent ḇə·’ā·hā·lə·ḵā עוֹלָמִ֑ים forever ‘ō·w·lā·mîm אֶֽחֱסֶ֨ה and take refuge ’e·ḥĕ·seh בְסֵ֖תֶר in the shelter ḇə·sê·ṯer כְּנָפֶ֣יךָ of Your wings . kə·nā·p̄e·ḵā סֶּֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 61:5 כִּֽי־ For kî- אַתָּ֣ה You ’at·tāh שָׁמַ֣עְתָּ have heard šā·ma‘·tā לִנְדָרָ֑י my vows , lin·ḏā·rāy אֱ֭לֹהִים O God ; ’ĕ·lō·hîm נָתַ֥תָּ You have given me nā·ṯa·tā יְ֝רֻשַּׁ֗ת the inheritance yə·ruš·šaṯ יִרְאֵ֥י reserved for those who fear yir·’ê שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ Your name . šə·me·ḵā Psalm 61:6 תּוֹסִ֑יף Increase tō·w·sîp̄ יָמִ֣ים the days yā·mîm עַל־ of ‘al- מֶ֣לֶךְ the king’s me·leḵ יְמֵי־ life ; yə·mê- שְׁ֝נוֹתָ֗יו may his years nō·w·ṯāw כְּמוֹ־ . . . kə·mōw- דֹ֥ר span many generations ḏōr וָדֹֽר׃ . . . . wā·ḏōr Psalm 61:7 יֵשֵׁ֣ב May he sit enthroned yê·šêḇ אֱלֹהִ֑ים in God’s ’ĕ·lō·hîm לִפְנֵ֣י presence lip̄·nê ע֭וֹלָם forever ; ‘ō·w·lām מַ֣ן appoint man חֶ֥סֶד Your loving devotion ḥe·seḏ וֶ֝אֱמֶ֗ת and Your faithfulness we·’ĕ·meṯ יִנְצְרֻֽהוּ׃ to guard him . yin·ṣə·ru·hū Psalm 61:8 כֵּ֤ן Then kên לָעַ֑ד I will ever lā·‘aḏ אֲזַמְּרָ֣ה sing praise ’ă·zam·mə·rāh
