וּמִכַּ֣חַשׁ and lies ū·mik·ka·ḥaš יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃ they utter . yə·sap·pê·rū Psalm 59:13 כַּלֵּ֥ה Consume kal·lêh בְחֵמָה֮ [them] in wrath ; ḇə·ḥê·māh כַּלֵּ֪ה consume them kal·lêh וְֽאֵ֫ינֵ֥מוֹ till they are no more , wə·’ê·nê·mōw וְֽיֵדְע֗וּ so it may be known wə·yê·ḏə·‘ū לְאַפְסֵ֖י to the ends lə·’ap̄·sê הָאָ֣רֶץ of the earth hā·’ā·reṣ כִּֽי־ that kî- אֱ֭לֹהִים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm מֹשֵׁ֣ל rules mō·šêl בְּיַעֲקֹ֑ב over Jacob . bə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 59:14 וְיָשׁ֣וּבוּ They return wə·yā·šū·ḇū לָ֭עֶרֶב in the evening , lā·‘e·reḇ יֶהֱמ֥וּ snarling ye·hĕ·mū כַכָּ֗לֶב like dogs ḵak·kā·leḇ וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ and prowling around wî·sō·wḇ·ḇū עִֽיר׃ the city . ‘îr Psalm 59:15 הֵ֭מָּה They hêm·māh יְנוּעוּן scavenge yə·nū·ʿūn לֶאֱכֹ֑ל for food , le·’ĕ·ḵōl וַיָּלִֽינוּ׃ and growl way·yā·lî·nū אִם־ if ’im- לֹ֥א they are not lō יִ֝שְׂבְּע֗וּ satisfied . yiś·bə·‘ū Psalm 59:16 וַאֲנִ֤י׀ But I wa·’ă·nî אָשִׁ֣יר will sing ’ā·šîr עֻזֶּךָ֮ of Your strength ‘uz·ze·ḵā וַאֲרַנֵּ֥ן and proclaim wa·’ă·ran·nên חַ֫סְדֶּ֥ךָ Your loving devotion ḥas·de·ḵā לַבֹּ֗קֶר in the morning . lab·bō·qer כִּֽי־ For kî- הָיִ֣יתָ You are hā·yî·ṯā מִשְׂגָּ֣ב my fortress miś·gāḇ לִ֑י , lî וּ֝מָנ֗וֹס my refuge ū·mā·nō·ws בְּי֣וֹם in times bə·yō·wm צַר־ of trouble ṣar- לִֽי׃ . lî Psalm 59:17 אֵלֶ֣יךָ To You , ’ê·le·ḵā עֻ֭זִּי O my strength , ‘uz·zî אֲזַמֵּ֑רָה I sing praises , ’ă·zam·mê·rāh כִּֽי־ for kî- אֱלֹהִ֥ים You, O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm מִ֝שְׂגַּבִּ֗י are my fortress , miś·gab·bî אֱלֹהֵ֥י my God ’ĕ·lō·hê חַסְדִּֽי׃ of loving devotion . ḥas·dî Psalm 60:1 לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ עַל־ To the tune of ‘al- שׁוּשַׁ֣ן “ The Lily šū·šan עֵד֑וּת of the Covenant . ” ‘ê·ḏūṯ מִכְתָּ֖ם A Miktam miḵ·tām לְדָוִ֣ד of David lə·ḏā·wiḏ לְלַמֵּֽד׃ for instruction . lə·lam·mêḏ בְּהַצּוֹת֨וֹ׀ When he fought bə·haṣ·ṣō·w·ṯōw אֶ֥ת - ’eṯ אֲרַ֣ם vvv ’ă·ram נַהֲרַיִם֮ Aram-naharaim na·hă·ra·yim וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֲרַ֪ם vvv ’ă·ram צ֫וֹבָ֥ה and Aram-zobah , ṣō·w·ḇāh יוֹאָ֗ב and Joab yō·w·’āḇ וַיָּ֤שָׁב returned way·yā·šāḇ וַיַּ֣ךְ and struck down way·yaḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁנֵ֖ים 12,000 {} šə·nêm עָשָׂ֣ר . . . ‘ā·śār אָֽלֶף׃ . . . ’ā·lep̄ אֱד֣וֹם Edomites ’ĕ·ḏō·wm בְּגֵיא־ in the Valley bə·ḡê- מֶ֑לַח of Salt . me·laḥ זְנַחְתָּ֣נוּ You have rejected us , zə·naḥ·tā·nū אֱ֭לֹהִים O God ; ’ĕ·lō·hîm פְרַצְתָּ֑נוּ You have broken us ; p̄ə·raṣ·tā·nū אָ֝נַ֗פְתָּ You have been angry ; ’ā·nap̄·tā תְּשׁ֣וֹבֵ֥ב restore tə·šō·w·ḇêḇ לָֽנוּ׃ us ! lā·nū
