Psalm 59:4 בְּֽלִי־ For no bə·lî- עָ֭וֺן fault of my own , ‘ā·wōn יְרוּצ֣וּן they move swiftly yə·rū·ṣūn וְיִכּוֹנָ֑נוּ to attack me . wə·yik·kō·w·nā·nū ע֖וּרָה Arise ‘ū·rāh לִקְרָאתִ֣י to help me , liq·rā·ṯî וּרְאֵה׃ and take notice . ū·rə·ʾēh Psalm 59:5 וְאַתָּ֤ה vvv wə·’at·tāh יְהוָֽה־ O YHWH Yah·weh- אֱלֹהִ֥ים׀ God ’ĕ·lō·hîm צְבָא֡וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl הָקִ֗יצָה rouse Yourself hā·qî·ṣāh לִפְקֹ֥ד to punish lip̄·qōḏ כָּֽל־ all kāl- הַגּוֹיִ֑ם the nations ; hag·gō·w·yim אַל־ show no ’al- תָּחֹ֨ן mercy tā·ḥōn כָּל־ to the kāl- אָ֣וֶן wicked ’ā·wen בֹּ֖גְדֵי traitors . bō·ḡə·ḏê סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 59:6 יָשׁ֣וּבוּ They return yā·šū·ḇū לָ֭עֶרֶב in the evening , lā·‘e·reḇ יֶהֱמ֥וּ snarling ye·hĕ·mū כַכָּ֗לֶב like dogs ḵak·kā·leḇ וִיס֥וֹבְבוּ and prowling around wî·sō·wḇ·ḇū עִֽיר׃ the city . ‘îr Psalm 59:7 הִנֵּ֤ה׀ See what hin·nêh יַבִּ֘יע֤וּן they spew yab·bî·‘ūn בְּפִיהֶ֗ם from their mouths — bə·p̄î·hem חֲ֭רָבוֹת sharp words ḥă·rā·ḇō·wṯ בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם from their lips : bə·śip̄·ṯō·w·ṯê·hem כִּי־ “ For kî- מִ֥י who mî שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ can hear us ? ” šō·mê·a‘ Psalm 59:8 וְאַתָּ֣ה But You , wə·’at·tāh יְ֭הוָה O YHWH , Yah·weh תִּשְׂחַק־ laugh tiś·ḥaq- לָ֑מוֹ at them ; lā·mōw תִּ֝לְעַ֗ג You scoff til·‘aḡ לְכָל־ at all lə·ḵāl גּוֹיִֽם׃ the nations . gō·w·yim Psalm 59:9 אֶשְׁמֹ֑רָה I will keep watch ’eš·mō·rāh אֵלֶ֣יךָ for You , ’ê·le·ḵā עֻ֭זּוֹ O my strength , ‘uz·zōw כִּֽי־ because [You] , kî- אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃ are my fortress . miś·gab·bî Psalm 59:10 אֱלֹהֵ֣י My God ’ĕ·lō·hê חַסְדּוֹ of loving devotion ḥas·dō יְקַדְּמֵ֑נִי will come to meet me ; yə·qad·də·mê·nî אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm יַרְאֵ֥נִי will let me stare down yar·’ê·nî בְשֹׁרְרָֽי׃ my foes . ḇə·šō·rə·rāy Psalm 59:11 אַל־ Do not ’al- תַּהַרְגֵ֤ם׀ kill them , ta·har·ḡêm פֶּֽן־ or pen- עַמִּ֗י my people ‘am·mî יִשְׁכְּח֬וּ will forget . yiš·kə·ḥū הֲנִיעֵ֣מוֹ Scatter them hă·nî·‘ê·mōw בְ֭חֵילְךָ by Your power , ḇə·ḥê·lə·ḵā וְהוֹרִידֵ֑מוֹ and bring them down , wə·hō·w·rî·ḏê·mōw אֲדֹנָֽי׃ O Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy מָֽגִנֵּ֣נוּ our shield . mā·ḡin·nê·nū Psalm 59:12 חַטַּאת־ By the sins ḥaṭ·ṭaṯ- פִּ֗ימוֹ of their mouths pî·mōw דְּֽבַר־ and the words də·ḇar- שְׂפָ֫תֵ֥ימוֹ of their lips , śə·p̄ā·ṯê·mōw וְיִלָּכְד֥וּ let them be trapped wə·yil·lā·ḵə·ḏū בִגְאוֹנָ֑ם in their pride , ḇiḡ·’ō·w·nām וּמֵאָלָ֖ה in the curses ū·mê·’ā·lāh
