לְפָנָ֥יו before Him . lə·p̄ā·nāw אֱלֹהִ֖ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm מַחֲסֶה־ is our refuge ma·ḥă·seh- לָּ֣נוּ . lā·nū סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 62:9 בְּנֵֽי־ Lowborn bə·nê- אָדָם֮ men ’ā·ḏām אַ֤ךְ׀ [are] but ’aḵ הֶ֥בֶל a vapor , he·ḇel בְּנֵ֫י the exalted bə·nê אִ֥ישׁ . . . ’îš כָּזָ֪ב but a lie . kā·zāḇ בְּמֹאזְנַ֥יִם Weighed on the scale , bə·mō·zə·na·yim הֵ֝֗מָּה they hêm·māh לַעֲל֑וֹת go up ; la·‘ă·lō·wṯ יָֽחַד׃ together yā·ḥaḏ מֵהֶ֥בֶל they are but a vapor . mê·he·ḇel Psalm 62:10 אַל־ Place no ’al- תִּבְטְח֣וּ trust tiḇ·ṭə·ḥū בְעֹשֶׁק֮ in extortion , ḇə·‘ō·šeq תֶּ֫הְבָּ֥לוּ or false hope teh·bā·lū אַל־ . . . ’al- וּבְגָזֵ֪ל in stolen goods . ū·ḇə·ḡā·zêl כִּֽי־ If kî- חַ֤יִל׀ your riches ḥa·yil יָנ֑וּב increase , yā·nūḇ אַל־ do not ’al- תָּשִׁ֥יתוּ set tā·šî·ṯū לֵֽב׃ your heart [upon them] . lêḇ Psalm 62:11 אֱלֹהִ֗ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm דִּבֶּ֬ר has spoken dib·ber אַחַ֤ת׀ once ; ’a·ḥaṯ שָׁמָ֑עְתִּי I have heard šā·mā·‘ə·tî כִּ֥י . . . kî ז֥וּ this zū שְׁתַּֽיִם־ twice : šə·ta·yim- עֹ֝֗ז that power ‘ōz לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ belongs to God , lê·lō·hîm Psalm 62:12 חָ֑סֶד and loving devotion ḥā·seḏ וּלְךָֽ־ to You , ū·lə·ḵā- אֲדֹנָ֥י O Lord . ’ă·ḏō·nāy כִּֽי־ For kî- אַתָּ֨ה You ’at·tāh תְשַׁלֵּ֖ם will repay ṯə·šal·lêm לְאִ֣ישׁ each man lə·’îš כְּֽמַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃ according to his deeds . kə·ma·‘ă·śê·hū Psalm 63:1 מִזְמ֥וֹר A Psalm miz·mō·wr לְדָוִ֑ד of David , lə·ḏā·wiḏ בִּ֝הְיוֹת֗וֹ when he was bih·yō·w·ṯōw בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר in the Wilderness bə·miḏ·bar יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah . yə·hū·ḏāh אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֵלִ֥י You are my God . ’ê·lî אֲ Earnestly I seek ’ăša·ḥă·re·kā אַתָּ֗ה You ; ’at·tāh לְךָ֨׀ my lə·ḵā נַפְשִׁ֗י soul nap̄·šî צָמְאָ֬ה thirsts for You . ṣā·mə·’āh לְךָ֣ My lə·ḵā בְשָׂרִ֑י body ḇə·śā·rî כָּמַ֣הּ yearns for You kā·mah צִיָּ֖ה in a dry ṣî·yāh וְעָיֵ֣ף and weary wə·‘ā·yêp̄ בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ land bə·’e·reṣ- בְּלִי־ without bə·lî- מָֽיִם׃ water . mā·yim Psalm 63:2 כֵּ֭ן So kên חֲזִיתִ֑יךָ I have seen You ḥă·zî·ṯî·ḵā בַּקֹּ֣דֶשׁ in the sanctuary baq·qō·ḏeš לִרְא֥וֹת [and] beheld lir·’ō·wṯ עֻ֝זְּךָ֗ Your power ‘uz·zə·ḵā וּכְבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ and glory . ū·ḵə·ḇō·w·ḏe·ḵā Psalm 63:3 כִּי־ Because kî- חַ֭סְדְּךָ Your loving devotion ḥas·də·ḵā ט֣וֹב is better ṭō·wḇ מֵֽחַיִּ֗ים than life , mê·ḥay·yîm שְׂפָתַ֥י my lips śə·p̄ā·ṯay יְשַׁבְּחֽוּנְךָ׃ will glorify You . yə·šab·bə·ḥū·nə·ḵā
