הִֽ֝שְׁחִ֗יתוּ They are corrupt ; hiš·ḥî·ṯū וְהִֽתְעִ֥יבוּ their ways wə·hiṯ·‘î·ḇū עָ֝֗וֶל are vile . ‘ā·wel אֵ֣ין There is no ’ên עֹֽשֵׂה־ one who does ‘ō·śêh- טֽוֹב׃ good . ṭō·wḇ Psalm 53:2 אֱ God ’ĕlō·hîm הִשְׁקִ֪יף looks down hiš·qîp̄ מִשָּׁמַיִם֮ from heaven miš·šā·ma·yim עַֽל־ upon ‘al- בְּנֵ֫י the sons bə·nê אָדָ֥ם of men ’ā·ḏām לִ֭רְאוֹת to see lir·’ō·wṯ הֲיֵ֣שׁ if any hă·yêš מַשְׂכִּ֑יל understand , maś·kîl דֹּ֝רֵ֗שׁ if any seek dō·rêš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֱלֹהִֽים׃ God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm Psalm 53:3 כֻּלּ֥וֹ All kul·lōw סָג֮ have turned away , sāḡ יַחְדָּ֪ו they have together yaḥ·dāw נֶ֫אֱלָ֥חוּ become corrupt ; ne·’ĕ·lā·ḥū אֵ֤ין there is no ’ên עֹֽשֵׂה־ one who does ‘ō·śêh- ט֑וֹב good , ṭō·wḇ אֵ֝֗ין not ’ên גַּם־ even gam- אֶחָֽד׃ one . ’e·ḥāḏ Psalm 53:4 פֹּ֤עֲלֵ֫י Will the workers pō·‘ă·lê אָ֥וֶן of iniquity ’ā·wen הֲלֹ֥א never hă·lō יָדְעוּ֮ learn ? yā·ḏə·‘ū אֹכְלֵ֣י They devour ’ō·ḵə·lê עַ֭מִּי my people ‘am·mî אָ֣כְלוּ [like] ’ā·ḵə·lū לֶ֑חֶם bread ; le·ḥem לֹ֣א they refuse lō קָרָֽאוּ׃ to call qā·rā·’ū אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים upon God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm Psalm 53:5 שָׁ֤ם׀ There they are , šām פָּֽחֲדוּ־ overwhelmed pā·ḥă·ḏū- פַחַד֮ with dread , p̄a·ḥaḏ הָ֪יָה֫ [where] there was hā·yāh לֹא־ nothing lō- פָ֥חַד to fear . p̄ā·ḥaḏ כִּֽי־ For kî- אֱלֹהִ֗ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm פִּ֭זַּר has scattered piz·zar עַצְמ֣וֹת the bones ‘aṣ·mō·wṯ חֹנָ֑ךְ of those who besieged you . ḥō·nāḵ הֱ֝בִשֹׁ֗תָה You put them to shame , hĕ·ḇi·šō·ṯāh כִּֽי־ for kî- אֱלֹהִ֥ים God ’ĕ·lō·hîm מְאָסָֽם׃ has despised them . mə·’ā·sām Psalm 53:6 מִ֥י Oh, that mî יְשֻׁע֪וֹת the salvation yə·šu·‘ō·wṯ יִשְׂרָ֫אֵ֥ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl יִתֵּ֣ן would come yit·tên מִצִּיּוֹן֮ from Zion ! miṣ·ṣî·yō·wn אֱ֭לֹהִים When God ’ĕ·lō·hîm בְּשׁ֣וּב restores bə·šūḇ שְׁב֣וּת His captive šə·ḇūṯ עַמּ֑וֹ people , ‘am·mōw יַ֝עֲקֹ֗ב let Jacob ya·‘ă·qōḇ יָגֵ֥ל rejoice , yā·ḡêl יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ let Israel yiś·rā·’êl יִשְׂמַ֥ח be glad ! yiś·maḥ Psalm 54:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ בִּנְגִינֹ֗ת With stringed instruments . bin·ḡî·nōṯ מַשְׂכִּ֥יל A Maskil maś·kîl לְדָוִֽד׃ of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ הַ֭זִּיפִים When the Ziphites haz·zî·p̄îm בְּב֣וֹא went bə·ḇō·w לְשָׁא֑וּל to Saul lə·šā·’ūl וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ and said , way·yō·mə·rū דָ֝וִ֗ד “ Is David ḏā·wiḏ הֲלֹ֥א not hă·lō מִסְתַּתֵּ֥ר hiding mis·tat·têr עִמָּֽנוּ׃ among us ? ” ‘im·mā·nū הוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי Save me , hō·wō·šî·‘ê·nî אֱ֭לֹהִים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm בְּשִׁמְךָ֣ by Your name , bə·šim·ḵā
