וַתִּ֣רֶץ you befriend wat·ti·reṣ עִמּ֑וֹ him , ‘im·mōw חֶלְקֶֽךָ׃ and throw in your lot ḥel·qe·ḵā וְעִ֖ם with wə·‘im מְנָאֲפִ֣ים adulterers . mə·nā·’ă·p̄îm Psalm 50:19 שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ You unleash šā·laḥ·tā פִּ֭יךָ your mouth pî·ḵā בְרָעָ֑ה for evil ḇə·rā·‘āh תַּצְמִ֥יד and unharness taṣ·mîḏ וּ֝לְשׁוֹנְךָ֗ your tongue ū·lə·šō·wn·ḵā מִרְמָֽה׃ for deceit . mir·māh Psalm 50:20 תֵּ֭שֵׁב You sit tê·šêḇ תְדַבֵּ֑ר and malign ṯə·ḏab·bêr בְּאָחִ֣יךָ your brother ; bə·’ā·ḥî·ḵā תִּתֶּן־ you tit·ten- דֹּֽפִי׃ slander dō·p̄î אִ֝מְּךָ֗ your own mother’s ’im·mə·ḵā בְּבֶֽן־ son . bə·ḇen- Psalm 50:21 עָשִׂ֨יתָ׀ You have done ‘ā·śî·ṯā אֵ֤לֶּה these things , ’êl·leh וְֽהֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי and I kept silent ; wə·he·ḥĕ·raš·tî דִּמִּ֗יתָ you thought dim·mî·ṯā הֱֽיוֹת־ I was hĕ·yō·wṯ- אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה . . . ’eh·yeh כָמ֑וֹךָ just like you . ḵā·mō·w·ḵā אוֹכִיחֲךָ֖ But now I rebuke you ’ō·w·ḵî·ḥă·ḵā וְאֶֽעֶרְכָ֣ה and accuse you wə·’e·‘er·ḵāh לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ to your face . lə·‘ê·ne·ḵā Psalm 50:22 נָ֣א Now nā בִּֽינוּ־ consider bî·nū- זֹ֭את this , zōṯ שֹׁכְחֵ֣י you who forget šō·ḵə·ḥê אֱל֑וֹהַּ God , ’ĕ·lō·w·ah פֶּן־ lest pen- אֶ֝טְרֹ֗ף I tear you to pieces , ’eṭ·rōp̄ וְאֵ֣ין with no one wə·’ên מַצִּֽיל׃ to rescue you : maṣ·ṣîl Psalm 50:23 זֹבֵ֥חַ He who sacrifices zō·ḇê·aḥ תּוֹדָ֗ה a thank offering tō·w·ḏāh יְֽכַ֫בְּדָ֥נְנִי honors Me , yə·ḵab·bə·ḏā·nə·nî וְשָׂ֥ם and to him who rights wə·śām דֶּ֑רֶךְ [his] way , de·reḵ אַ֝רְאֶ֗נּוּ I will show ’ar·’en·nū בְּיֵ֣שַׁע the salvation bə·yê·ša‘ אֱלֹהִֽים׃ of God . ” ’ĕ·lō·hîm Psalm 51:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ מִזְמ֥וֹר A Psalm miz·mō·wr לְדָוִֽד׃ of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ נָתָ֣ן When Nathan nā·ṯān הַנָּבִ֑יא the prophet han·nā·ḇî בְּֽבוֹא־ came bə·ḇō·w- אֵ֭לָיו to him ’ê·lāw כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־ after ka·’ă·šer- בָּ֝֗א his adultery bā אֶל־ with ’el- בַּת־ vvv baṯ- שָֽׁבַע׃ Bathsheba . šā·ḇa‘ חָנֵּ֣נִי Have mercy on me , ḥān·nê·nî אֱלֹהִ֣ים O God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm כְּחַסְדֶּ֑ךָ according to Your loving devotion ; kə·ḥas·de·ḵā כְּרֹ֥ב according to Your great kə·rōḇ רַ֝חֲמֶ֗יךָ compassion , ra·ḥă·me·ḵā מְחֵ֣ה blot out mə·ḥêh פְשָׁעָֽי׃ my transgressions . p̄ə·šā·‘āy Psalm 51:2 הַרְבֵּה Wash me clean har·bēh כַּבְּסֵ֣נִי . . . kab·bə·sê·nî מֵעֲוֺנִ֑י of my iniquity mê·‘ă·wō·nî טַהֲרֵֽנִי׃ and cleanse me ṭa·hă·rê·nî וּֽמֵחַטָּאתִ֥י from my sin . ū·mê·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯî Psalm 51:3 כִּֽי־ For kî- אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî אֵדָ֑ע know ’ê·ḏā‘ פְ֭שָׁעַי my transgressions , p̄ə·šā·‘ay וְחַטָּאתִ֖י and my sin wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯî תָמִֽיד׃ is always ṯā·mîḏ נֶגְדִּ֣י before me . neḡ·dî
