Psalm 41:8 בְּ֭לִיַּעַל “ A vile bə·lî·ya·‘al דְּֽבַר־ disease də·ḇar- יָצ֣וּק has been poured yā·ṣūq בּ֑וֹ into him ; bōw לֹא־ he will never lō- יוֹסִ֥יף . . . yō·w·sîp̄ לָקֽוּם׃ get up lā·qūm וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר from where wa·’ă·šer שָׁ֝כַ֗ב he lies ! ” ḵaḇ Psalm 41:9 גַּם־ Even gam- אִ֤ישׁ my close friend ’îš שְׁלוֹמִ֨י׀ . . . šə·lō·w·mî אֲשֶׁר־ whom ’ă·šer- בָּטַ֣חְתִּי I trusted bā·ṭaḥ·tî ב֭וֹ , ḇōw אוֹכֵ֣ל the one who shared ’ō·w·ḵêl לַחְמִ֑י my bread , laḥ·mî הִגְדִּ֖יל has lifted up hiḡ·dîl עָקֵֽב׃ [his] heel ‘ā·qêḇ עָלַ֣י against me . ‘ā·lay Psalm 41:10 וְאַתָּ֤ה But You , wə·’at·tāh יְהוָ֗ה O YHWH , Yah·weh חָנֵּ֥נִי be gracious to me ḥān·nê·nî וַהֲקִימֵ֑נִי and raise me up , wa·hă·qî·mê·nî וַֽאֲשַׁלְּמָ֥ה that I may repay wa·’ă·šal·lə·māh לָהֶֽם׃ them . lā·hem Psalm 41:11 בְּזֹ֣את By this bə·zōṯ יָ֭דַעְתִּי I know yā·ḏa‘·tî כִּֽי־ that kî- חָפַ֣צְתָּ You delight ḥā·p̄aṣ·tā בִּ֑י in me , bî כִּ֤י for kî אֹיְבִ֣י my enemy ’ō·yə·ḇî לֹֽא־ does not lō- יָרִ֖יעַ triumph yā·rî·a‘ עָלָֽי׃ over me . ‘ā·lāy Psalm 41:12 וַאֲנִ֗י In my wa·’ă·nî בְּ֭תֻמִּי integrity bə·ṯum·mî תָּמַ֣כְתָּ You uphold tā·maḵ·tā בִּ֑י me bî וַתַּצִּיבֵ֖נִי and set me wat·taṣ·ṣî·ḇê·nî לְפָנֶ֣יךָ in Your presence lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā לְעוֹלָֽם׃ forever . lə·‘ō·w·lām Psalm 41:13 בָּ֘ר֤וּךְ Blessed be bā·rūḵ יְהוָ֨ה׀ YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl מֵֽ֭הָעוֹלָם from everlasting mê·hā·‘ō·w·lām וְעַ֥ד to wə·‘aḏ הָעוֹלָ֗ם everlasting . hā·‘ō·w·lām אָ֘מֵ֥ן׀ Amen ’ā·mên וְאָמֵֽן׃ and Amen . wə·’ā·mên Psalm 42:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ מַשְׂכִּ֥יל A Maskil maś·kîl לִבְנֵי־ of the sons liḇ·nê- קֹֽרַח׃ of Korah . qō·raḥ כְּאַיָּ֗ל As the deer kə·’ay·yāl תַּעֲרֹ֥ג pants ta·‘ă·rōḡ עַל־ for ‘al- אֲפִֽיקֵי־ streams ’ă·p̄î·qê- מָ֑יִם of water , mā·yim כֵּ֤ן so kên נַפְשִׁ֨י my soul nap̄·šî תַעֲרֹ֖ג longs ṯa·‘ă·rōḡ אֵלֶ֣יךָ after You , ’ê·le·ḵā אֱלֹהִֽים׃ O God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm Psalm 42:2 נַפְשִׁ֨י׀ My soul nap̄·šî צָמְאָ֬ה thirsts ṣā·mə·’āh לֵאלֹהִים֮ for God , lê·lō·hîm חָ֥י the living ḥāy לְאֵ֪ל God . lə·’êl מָתַ֥י When mā·ṯay אָב֑וֹא shall I come ’ā·ḇō·w וְ֝אֵרָאֶ֗ה and appear wə·’ê·rā·’eh פְּנֵ֣י in pə·nê אֱלֹהִֽים׃ God’s presence ? ’ĕ·lō·hîm
