לְךָ֣ in lə·ḵā הִֽיא׃ You . hî Psalm 39:8 הַצִּילֵ֑נִי Deliver me haṣ·ṣî·lê·nî מִכָּל־ from all mik·kāl פְּשָׁעַ֥י my transgressions ; pə·šā·‘ay אַל־ do not ’al- תְּשִׂימֵֽנִי׃ make me tə·śî·mê·nî חֶרְפַּ֥ת the reproach ḥer·paṯ נָ֝בָ֗ל of fools . nā·ḇāl Psalm 39:9 נֶ֭אֱלַמְתִּי I have become mute ; ne·’ĕ·lam·tî לֹ֣א I do not lō אֶפְתַּח־ open ’ep̄·taḥ- פִּ֑י my mouth pî כִּ֖י because [of what] kî אַתָּ֣ה You ’at·tāh עָשִֽׂיתָ׃ have done . ‘ā·śî·ṯā Psalm 39:10 הָסֵ֣ר Remove hā·sêr נִגְעֶ֑ךָ Your scourge niḡ·‘e·ḵā מֵעָלַ֣י from me ; mê·‘ā·lay אֲנִ֣י I ’ă·nî כָלִֽיתִי׃ am perishing ḵā·lî·ṯî מִתִּגְרַ֥ת by the force mit·tiḡ·raṯ יָ֝דְךָ֗ of Your hand . yā·ḏə·ḵā Psalm 39:11 יִסַּ֬רְתָּ You discipline yis·sar·tā בְּֽתוֹכָ֘ח֤וֹת and correct bə·ṯō·w·ḵā·ḥō·wṯ אִ֗ישׁ a man ’îš עַל־ for ‘al- עָוֺ֨ן׀ his iniquity , ‘ā·wōn וַתֶּ֣מֶס consuming wat·te·mes כָּעָ֣שׁ like a moth kā·‘āš חֲמוּד֑וֹ what he holds dear ; ḥă·mū·ḏōw אַ֤ךְ surely ’aḵ כָּל־ each kāl- אָדָ֣ם man ’ā·ḏām הֶ֖בֶל [is] but a vapor . he·ḇel סֶֽלָה׃ Selah se·lāh Psalm 39:12 שִֽׁמְעָ֥ה־ Hear šim·‘āh- תְפִלָּתִ֨י׀ my prayer , ṯə·p̄il·lā·ṯî יְהוָ֡ה O YHWH , Yah·weh הַאֲזִינָה֮ and give ear ha·’ă·zî·nāh וְשַׁוְעָתִ֨י׀ to my cry for help ; wə·šaw·‘ā·ṯî אַֽל־ do not ’al- תֶּ֫חֱרַ֥שׁ be deaf te·ḥĕ·raš אֶֽל־ to ’el- דִּמְעָתִ֗י my weeping . dim·‘ā·ṯî כִּ֤י For kî אָנֹכִ֣י I ’ā·nō·ḵî גֵ֣ר am a foreigner ḡêr עִמָּ֑ךְ dwelling with You , ‘im·māḵ תּ֝וֹשָׁ֗ב a stranger tō·wō·šāḇ כְּכָל־ like all kə·ḵāl- אֲבוֹתָֽי׃ my fathers . ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯāy Psalm 39:13 הָשַׁ֣ע Turn Your gaze hā·ša‘ מִמֶּ֣נִּי away from me , mim·men·nî וְאַבְלִ֑יגָה that I may again be cheered wə·’aḇ·lî·ḡāh בְּטֶ֖רֶם before bə·ṭe·rem אֵלֵ֣ךְ I depart ’ê·lêḵ וְאֵינֶֽנִּי׃ and am no more . ” wə·’ê·nen·nî Psalm 40:1 לַ֝מְנַצֵּ֗חַ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ מִזְמֽוֹר׃ A Psalm miz·mō·wr לְדָוִ֥ד of David . lə·ḏā·wiḏ קַוֺּ֣ה I waited patiently for qaw·wōh קִוִּ֣יתִי . . . qiw·wî·ṯî יְהוָ֑ה YHWH ; Yah·weh וַיֵּ֥ט He inclined way·yêṭ אֵ֝לַ֗י to me ’ê·lay וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע and heard way·yiš·ma‘ שַׁוְעָתִֽי׃ my cry . šaw·‘ā·ṯî Psalm 40:2 וַיַּעֲלֵ֤נִי׀ He lifted me up way·ya·‘ă·lê·nî מִבּ֥וֹר from the pit mib·bō·wr שָׁאוֹן֮ of despair , šā·’ō·wn הַיָּ֫וֵ֥ן out of the miry hay·yā·wên מִטִּ֪יט clay ; miṭ·ṭîṭ וַיָּ֖קֶם He set way·yā·qem רַגְלַ֗י my feet raḡ·lay עַל־ upon ‘al-
