בְּהִשָּׁפְטֽוֹ׃ under judgment . bə·hiš·šā·p̄ə·ṭōw Psalm 37:34 קַוֵּ֤ה Wait qaw·wêh אֶל־ for ’el- יְהוָ֨ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh וּשְׁמֹ֬ר and keep ū·šə·mōr דַּרְכּ֗וֹ His way , dar·kōw וִֽ֭ירוֹמִמְךָ and He will raise you up wî·rō·w·mim·ḵā לָרֶ֣שֶׁת to inherit lā·re·šeṯ אָ֑רֶץ the land . ’ā·reṣ רְשָׁעִ֣ים When the wicked rə·šā·‘îm בְּהִכָּרֵ֖ת are cut off , bə·hik·kā·rêṯ תִּרְאֶֽה׃ you will see [it] . tir·’eh Psalm 37:35 רָ֭אִיתִי I have seen rā·’î·ṯî רָשָׁ֣ע a wicked , rā·šā‘ עָרִ֑יץ ruthless man ‘ā·rîṣ רַעֲנָֽן׃ flourishing ra·‘ă·nān וּ֝מִתְעָרֶ֗ה like a well-rooted ū·miṯ·‘ā·reh כְּאֶזְרָ֥ח native tree , kə·’ez·rāḥ Psalm 37:36 וַ֭יַּֽעֲבֹר yet he passed away way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr אֵינֶ֑נּוּ and was no more ’ê·nen·nū וְהִנֵּ֣ה . . . ; wə·hin·nêh וָֽ֝אֲבַקְשֵׁ֗הוּ though I searched , wā·’ă·ḇaq·šê·hū וְלֹ֣א he could not wə·lō נִמְצָֽא׃ be found . nim·ṣā Psalm 37:37 שְׁמָר־ Consider šə·mār- תָּ֭ם the blameless tām וּרְאֵ֣ה and observe ū·rə·’êh יָשָׁ֑ר the upright , yā·šār כִּֽי־ for kî- אַחֲרִ֖ית posterity [awaits] ’a·ḥă·rîṯ לְאִ֣ישׁ the man lə·’îš שָׁלֽוֹם׃ of peace . šā·lō·wm Psalm 37:38 וּֽ֭פֹשְׁעִים But the transgressors ū·p̄ō·šə·‘îm יַחְדָּ֑ו will all yaḥ·dāw נִשְׁמְד֣וּ be destroyed ; niš·mə·ḏū אַחֲרִ֖ית the future ’a·ḥă·rîṯ רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm נִכְרָֽתָה׃ will be cut off . niḵ·rā·ṯāh Psalm 37:39 וּתְשׁוּעַ֣ת The salvation ū·ṯə·šū·‘aṯ צַ֭דִּיקִים of the righteous ṣad·dî·qîm מֵיְהוָ֑ה [is] from YHWH ; Yah·weh מָֽ֝עוּזָּ֗ם [He is] their stronghold mā·‘ūz·zām בְּעֵ֣ת in time bə·‘êṯ צָרָֽה׃ of trouble . ṣā·rāh Psalm 37:40 יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh וַֽיַּעְזְרֵ֥ם helps way·ya‘·zə·rêm וַֽיְפַ֫לְּטֵ֥ם and delivers them ; way·p̄al·lə·ṭêm יְפַלְּטֵ֣ם He rescues yə·p̄al·lə·ṭêm וְיוֹשִׁיעֵ֑ם and saves them wə·yō·wō·šî·‘êm מֵ֭רְשָׁעִים from the wicked , mê·rə·šā·‘îm כִּי־ because kî- חָ֥סוּ they take refuge ḥā·sū בֽוֹ׃ in Him . ḇōw Psalm 38:1 מִזְמ֖וֹר A Psalm miz·mō·wr לְדָוִ֣ד of David , lə·ḏā·wiḏ לְהַזְכִּֽיר׃ for remembrance . lə·haz·kîr יְֽהוָ֗ה O YHWH , Yah·weh אַל־ do not ’al- תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי rebuke me ṯō·w·ḵî·ḥê·nî בְּקֶצְפְּךָ֥ in Your anger bə·qeṣ·pə·ḵā תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃ or discipline me ṯə·yas·sə·rê·nî וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ in Your wrath . ū·ḇa·ḥă·mā·ṯə·ḵā Psalm 38:2 כִּֽי־ For kî- חִ֭צֶּיךָ Your arrows ḥiṣ·ṣe·ḵā נִ֣חֲתוּ have pierced me deeply ni·ḥă·ṯū בִ֑י , ḇî יָדֶֽךָ׃ and Your hand yā·ḏe·ḵā וַתִּנְחַ֖ת has pressed down wat·tin·ḥaṯ עָלַ֣י on me . ‘ā·lay Psalm 38:3 אֵין־ There is no ’ên-
