יִפֹּ֥ל he falls , yip·pōl לֹֽא־ he will not lō- יוּטָ֑ל be overwhelmed , yū·ṭāl כִּֽי־ for kî- יְ֝הוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh סוֹמֵ֥ךְ is holding sō·w·mêḵ יָדֽוֹ׃ his hand . yā·ḏōw Psalm 37:25 הָיִ֗יתִי I once was hā·yî·ṯî נַ֤עַר׀ young na·‘ar גַּם־ and gam- זָ֫קַ֥נְתִּי now am old , zā·qan·tî וְֽלֹא־ yet never wə·lō- רָ֭אִיתִי have I seen rā·’î·ṯî צַדִּ֣יק the righteous ṣad·dîq נֶעֱזָ֑ב abandoned ne·‘ĕ·zāḇ וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ or their children wə·zar·‘ōw מְבַקֶּשׁ־ begging mə·ḇaq·qeš- לָֽחֶם׃ for bread . lā·ḥem Psalm 37:26 כָּל־ They are kāl- הַ֭יּוֹם ever hay·yō·wm חוֹנֵ֣ן generous ḥō·w·nên וּמַלְוֶ֑ה and quick to lend , ū·mal·weh וְ֝זַרְע֗וֹ and their children wə·zar·‘ōw לִבְרָכָֽה׃ are a blessing . liḇ·rā·ḵāh Psalm 37:27 ס֣וּר Turn away sūr מֵ֭רָע from evil mê·rā‘ וַעֲשֵׂה־ and do wa·‘ă·śêh- ט֗וֹב good , ṭō·wḇ וּשְׁכֹ֥ן so that you will abide ū·šə·ḵōn לְעוֹלָֽם׃ forever . lə·‘ō·w·lām Psalm 37:28 כִּ֤י For kî יְהוָ֨ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh אֹ֘הֵ֤ב loves ’ō·hêḇ מִשְׁפָּ֗ט justice miš·pāṭ וְלֹא־ and will not wə·lō- יַעֲזֹ֣ב forsake ya·‘ă·zōḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- חֲ֭סִידָיו His saints . ḥă·sî·ḏāw נִשְׁמָ֑רוּ They are preserved niš·mā·rū לְעוֹלָ֣ם forever , lə·‘ō·w·lām וְזֶ֖רַע but the offspring wə·ze·ra‘ רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm נִכְרָֽת׃ will be cut off . niḵ·rāṯ Psalm 37:29 צַדִּיקִ֥ים The righteous ṣad·dî·qîm יִֽירְשׁוּ־ will inherit yî·rə·šū- אָ֑רֶץ the land ’ā·reṣ וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ and dwell wə·yiš·kə·nū עָלֶֽיהָ׃ in it ‘ā·le·hā לָעַ֣ד forever . lā·‘aḏ Psalm 37:30 פִּֽי־ The mouth pî- צַ֭דִּיק of the righteous man ṣad·dîq יֶהְגֶּ֣ה utters yeh·geh חָכְמָ֑ה wisdom , ḥāḵ·māh וּ֝לְשׁוֹנ֗וֹ and his tongue ū·lə·šō·w·nōw תְּדַבֵּ֥ר speaks tə·ḏab·bêr מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ justice . miš·pāṭ Psalm 37:31 תּוֹרַ֣ת The law tō·w·raṯ אֱלֹהָ֣יו of his God ’ĕ·lō·hāw בְּלִבּ֑וֹ is in his heart ; bə·lib·bōw אֲשֻׁרָיו׃ his steps ’ă·šu·rāw לֹ֖א do not lō תִמְעַ֣ד falter . ṯim·‘aḏ Psalm 37:32 רָ֭שָׁע Though the wicked rā·šā‘ צוֹפֶ֣ה lie in wait ṣō·w·p̄eh לַצַּדִּ֑יק for the righteous , laṣ·ṣad·dîq וּ֝מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ and seek ū·mə·ḇaq·qêš לַהֲמִיתוֹ׃ to slay them , la·hă·mī·ṯō Psalm 37:33 יְ֭הוָה YHWH Yah·weh לֹא־ will not lō- יַעַזְבֶ֣נּוּ leave them ya·‘az·ḇen·nū בְיָד֑וֹ in their power ḇə·yā·ḏōw וְלֹ֥א or wə·lō יַ֝רְשִׁיעֶ֗נּוּ let them be condemned yar·šî·‘en·nū
