Psalm 35:27 חֲפֵצֵ֪י May those who favor ḥă·p̄ê·ṣê צִ֫דְקִ֥י my vindication ṣiḏ·qî יָרֹ֣נּוּ shout for joy yā·rōn·nū וְיִשְׂמְחוּ֮ and gladness ; wə·yiś·mə·ḥū תָ֭מִיד may they always ṯā·mîḏ וְיֹאמְר֣וּ say , wə·yō·mə·rū יִגְדַּ֣ל “ Exalted be yiḡ·dal יְהוָ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh הֶ֝חָפֵ֗ץ who delights he·ḥā·p̄êṣ עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ in His servant’s ‘aḇ·dōw שְׁל֣וֹם well-being . ” šə·lō·wm Psalm 35:28 וּ֭לְשׁוֹנִי Then my tongue ū·lə·šō·w·nî תֶּהְגֶּ֣ה will proclaim teh·geh צִדְקֶ֑ךָ Your righteousness ṣiḏ·qe·ḵā תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ [and] Your praises tə·hil·lā·ṯe·ḵā כָּל־ all kāl- הַ֝יּוֹם day long . hay·yō·wm Psalm 36:1 לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ׀ For the choirmaster . lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ לְדָוִֽד׃ A Psalm of David , lə·ḏā·wiḏ לְעֶֽבֶד־ the servant lə·‘e·ḇeḏ- יְהוָ֬ה of YHWH . Yah·weh נְאֻֽם־ An oracle nə·’um- בְּקֶ֣רֶב is in bə·qe·reḇ לִבִּ֑י my heart lib·bî פֶּ֣שַׁע regarding the transgression pe·ša‘ לָ֭רָשָׁע of the wicked man : lā·rā·šā‘ אֵֽין־ There is no ’ên- פַּ֥חַד fear pa·ḥaḏ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים of God ’ĕ·lō·hîm לְנֶ֣גֶד before lə·ne·ḡeḏ עֵינָֽיו׃ his eyes . ‘ê·nāw Psalm 36:2 כִּֽי־ For kî- בְּעֵינָ֑יו his eyes bə·‘ê·nāw הֶחֱלִ֣יק are too full of conceit he·ḥĕ·lîq אֵלָ֣יו . . . ’ê·lāw לִמְצֹ֖א to detect lim·ṣō לִשְׂנֹֽא׃ or hate liś·nō עֲוֺנ֣וֹ his own sin . ‘ă·wō·nōw Psalm 36:3 דִּבְרֵי־ The words diḇ·rê- פִ֭יו of his mouth p̄îw אָ֣וֶן are wicked ’ā·wen וּמִרְמָ֑ה and deceitful ; ū·mir·māh חָדַ֖ל he has ceased ḥā·ḏal לְהַשְׂכִּ֣יל to be wise lə·haś·kîl לְהֵיטִֽיב׃ [and] well-doing . lə·hê·ṭîḇ Psalm 36:4 עַֽל־ Even on ‘al- מִשְׁכָּ֫ב֥וֹ his bed miš·kā·ḇōw יַחְשֹׁ֗ב he plots yaḥ·šōḇ אָ֤וֶן׀ wickedness ; ’ā·wen יִ֭תְיַצֵּב he sets himself yiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ עַל־ on ‘al- דֶּ֣רֶךְ a path de·reḵ לֹא־ that is not lō- ט֑וֹב good ; ṭō·wḇ לֹ֣א he fails lō יִמְאָֽס׃ to reject yim·’ās רָ֝֗ע evil . rā‘ Psalm 36:5 חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ Your loving devotion , ḥas·de·ḵā יְ֭הוָה O YHWH , Yah·weh בְּהַשָּׁמַ֣יִם reaches to the heavens , bə·haš·šā·ma·yim אֱ֝מֽוּנָתְךָ֗ Your faithfulness ’ĕ·mū·nā·ṯə·ḵā עַד־ to ‘aḏ- שְׁחָקִֽים׃ the clouds . šə·ḥā·qîm Psalm 36:6 צִדְקָֽתְךָ֨׀ Your righteousness ṣiḏ·qā·ṯə·ḵā אֵ֗ל is like the highest ’êl כְּֽהַרְרֵי־ mountains ; kə·har·rê- מִ֭שְׁפָּטֶךָ Your judgments [are] miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā תְּה֣וֹם like the deepest sea tə·hō·wm רַבָּ֑ה . . . . rab·bāh יְהוָֽה׃ O YHWH , Yah·weh תוֹשִׁ֣יעַ You preserve ṯō·wō·šî·a‘ אָ֤דָֽם־ man ’ā·ḏām- וּבְהֵמָ֖ה and beast . ū·ḇə·hê·māh Psalm 36:7 מַה־ How mah- יָּקָ֥ר precious yā·qār חַסְדְּךָ֗ is Your loving devotion , ḥas·də·ḵā
