מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וְאֶ֣רֶץ and wə·’e·reṣ כְּנַ֔עַן Canaan kə·na·‘an וַתֵּ֜לַהּ had been exhausted wat·tê·lah מִפְּנֵ֖י by mip·pə·nê הָרָעָֽב׃ the famine . hā·rā·‘āḇ Genesis 47:14 יוֹסֵ֗ף Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיְלַקֵּ֣ט collected way·laq·qêṭ כָּל־ all kāl- הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ the money hak·ke·sep̄ הַנִּמְצָ֤א to be found han·nim·ṣā בְאֶֽרֶץ־ in the land ḇə·’e·reṣ- מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וּבְאֶ֣רֶץ and the land ū·ḇə·’e·reṣ כְּנַ֔עַן of Canaan kə·na·‘an בַּשֶּׁ֖בֶר in exchange for the grain baš·še·ḇer אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- הֵ֣ם they hêm שֹׁבְרִ֑ים were buying , šō·ḇə·rîm יוֹסֵ֛ף and he yō·w·sêp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיָּבֵ֥א brought way·yā·ḇê הַכֶּ֖סֶף [it] hak·ke·sep̄ פַרְעֹֽה׃ into Pharaoh’s p̄ar·‘ōh בֵּ֥יתָה palace . bê·ṯāh Genesis 47:15 הַכֶּ֗סֶף When the money hak·ke·sep̄ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ from the lands mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַיִם֮ of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וּמֵאֶ֣רֶץ and ū·mê·’e·reṣ כְּנַעַן֒ Canaan kə·na·‘an וַיִּתֹּ֣ם was gone , way·yit·tōm כָל־ all ḵāl מִצְרַ֨יִם the Egyptians miṣ·ra·yim וַיָּבֹאוּ֩ came way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֶל־ to ’el- יוֹסֵ֤ף Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ לֵאמֹר֙ and said , lê·mōr הָֽבָה־ “ Give hā·ḇāh- לָּ֣נוּ us lā·nū לֶ֔חֶם food . le·ḥem וְלָ֥מָּה Why wə·lām·māh נָמ֖וּת should we die nā·mūṯ נֶגְדֶּ֑ךָ before your eyes ? neḡ·de·ḵā כִּ֥י For kî כָּֽסֶף׃ our funds kā·sep̄ אָפֵ֖ס have run out ! ” ’ā·p̄ês Genesis 47:16 הָב֣וּ “ Then bring me hā·ḇū מִקְנֵיכֶ֔ם your livestock , ” miq·nê·ḵem וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer יוֹסֵף֙ Joseph . yō·w·sêp̄ אִם־ “ Since ’im- כָּֽסֶף׃ the money kā·sep̄ אָפֵ֖ס is gone , ’ā·p̄ês וְאֶתְּנָ֥ה I will sell wə·’et·tə·nāh לָכֶ֖ם you food lā·ḵem בְּמִקְנֵיכֶ֑ם in exchange for your livestock . ” bə·miq·nê·ḵem Genesis 47:17 וַיָּבִ֣יאוּ So they brought way·yā·ḇî·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִקְנֵיהֶם֮ their livestock miq·nê·hem אֶל־ to ’el- יוֹסֵף֒ Joseph , yō·w·sêp̄ יוֹסֵ֨ף and he yō·w·sêp̄ וַיִּתֵּ֣ן gave way·yit·tên לָהֶם֩ them lā·hem לֶ֜חֶם food le·ḥem בַּסּוּסִ֗ים in exchange for their horses , bas·sū·sîm וּבְמִקְנֵ֥ה vvv ū·ḇə·miq·nêh הַצֹּ֛אן their flocks haṣ·ṣōn וּבְמִקְנֵ֥ה - ū·ḇə·miq·nêh הַבָּקָ֖ר and herds , hab·bā·qār וּבַחֲמֹרִ֑ים and their donkeys . ū·ḇa·ḥă·mō·rîm הַהִֽוא׃ Throughout that ha·hi·w בַּשָּׁנָ֖ה year baš·šā·nāh וַיְנַהֲלֵ֤ם he provided them way·na·hă·lêm בַּלֶּ֙חֶם֙ with food bal·le·ḥem בְּכָל־ in exchange for all bə·ḵāl מִקְנֵהֶ֔ם their livestock . miq·nê·hem Genesis 47:18 הַהִוא֒ When that ha·hi·w הַשָּׁנָ֣ה year haš·šā·nāh וַתִּתֹּם֮ was over , wat·tit·tōm וַיָּבֹ֨אוּ they came way·yā·ḇō·’ū אֵלָ֜יו to him ’ê·lāw הַשֵּׁנִ֗ית the second haš·šê·nîṯ בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה year baš·šā·nāh
