אָ֝דָ֗ם of man . ’ā·ḏām Job 35:9 יַזְעִ֑יקוּ Men cry out yaz·‘î·qū מֵ֭רֹב under great mê·rōḇ עֲשׁוּקִ֣ים oppression ; ‘ă·šū·qîm יְשַׁוְּע֖וּ they plead for relief yə·šaw·wə·‘ū מִזְּר֣וֹעַ from the arm miz·zə·rō·w·a‘ רַבִּֽים׃ of the mighty . rab·bîm Job 35:10 וְֽלֹא־ But no wə·lō- אָמַ֗ר one asks , ’ā·mar אַ֭יֵּה ‘ Where [is] ’ay·yêh אֱל֣וֹהַּ God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah עֹשָׂ֑י my Maker , ‘ō·śāy נֹתֵ֖ן who gives us nō·ṯên זְמִר֣וֹת songs zə·mi·rō·wṯ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃ in the night , bal·lā·yə·lāh Job 35:11 מַ֭לְּפֵנוּ who teaches us mal·lə·p̄ê·nū מִבַּהֲמ֣וֹת more than the beasts mib·ba·hă·mō·wṯ אָ֑רֶץ of the earth ’ā·reṣ יְחַכְּמֵֽנוּ׃ and makes us wiser yə·ḥak·kə·mê·nū וּמֵע֖וֹף than the birds ū·mê·‘ō·wp̄ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם of the air ? ’ haš·šā·ma·yim Job 35:12 שָׁ֣ם There šām יִ֭צְעֲקוּ they cry out , yiṣ·‘ă·qū וְלֹ֣א but He does not wə·lō יַעֲנֶ֑ה answer , ya·‘ă·neh מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י because of mip·pə·nê גְּא֣וֹן the pride gə·’ō·wn רָעִֽים׃ of evil men . rā·‘îm Job 35:13 אַךְ־ Surely ’a·ḵō·šā- אֵ֑ל God ’êl לֹא־ does not lō- יִשְׁמַ֥ע׀ listen yiš·ma‘ שָׁ֭וְא to empty pleas , w וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י and the Almighty wə·šad·day לֹ֣א does not lō יְשׁוּרֶֽנָּה׃ take note of it . yə·šū·ren·nāh Job 35:14 אַ֣ף How much less , ’ap̄ כִּֽי־ then, when kî- תֹ֭אמַר you say ṯō·mar לֹ֣א that you do not lō תְשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ see Him , ṯə·šū·ren·nū דִּ֥ין that your case dîn לְ֝פָנָ֗יו is before Him lə·p̄ā·nāw וּתְח֥וֹלֵֽל and you must wait ū·ṯə·ḥō·w·lêl לֽוֹ׃ for Him , lōw Job 35:15 וְעַתָּ֗ה and further , wə·‘at·tāh כִּי־ that kî- אַפּ֑וֹ [in] His anger ’ap·pōw אַ֭יִן vvv ’a·yin פָּקַ֣ד He has not punished pā·qaḏ וְלֹֽא־ [or] wə·lō- יָדַ֖ע taken much notice yā·ḏa‘ מְאֹֽד׃ . . . mə·’ōḏ בַּפַּ֣שׁ of folly ! bap·paš Job 35:16 וְ֭אִיּוֹב So Job wə·’î·yō·wḇ יִפְצֶה־ opens yip̄·ṣeh- פִּ֑יהוּ his mouth pî·hū הֶ֣בֶל in vain he·ḇel יַכְבִּֽר׃פ and multiplies yaḵ·bir מִלִּ֥ין words mil·lîn בִּבְלִי־ without biḇ·lî- דַ֝֗עַת knowledge . ” ḏa·‘aṯ Job 36:1 אֱלִיה֗וּא And Elihu ’ĕ·lî·hū וַיֹּ֥סֶף continued way·yō·sep̄ וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ . . . : way·yō·mar Job 36:2 כַּתַּר־ “ Bear kat·tar- לִ֣י with me lî זְ֭עֵיר a little longer , zə·‘êr וַאֲחַוֶּ֑ךָּ and I will show you wa·’ă·ḥaw·we·kā כִּ֤י that kî
