אֱלֹהִֽים׃ God . ’ ’ĕ·lō·hîm Job 34:10 לָכֵ֤ן׀ Therefore lā·ḵên שִׁמְע֫וּ listen šim·‘ū לִ֥י to me , lî אַ֥נֲשֵׁ֥י O men ’a·nă·šê לֵבָ֗ב of understanding . lê·ḇāḇ חָלִ֖לָה Far be it ḥā·li·lāh לָאֵ֥ל from God lā·’êl מֵרֶ֗שַׁע to do wrong , mê·re·ša‘ וְשַׁדַּ֥י and from the Almighty wə·šad·day מֵעָֽוֶל׃ to act unjustly . mê·‘ā·wel Job 34:11 כִּ֤י For kî אָ֭דָם vvv ’ā·ḏām פֹ֣עַל according to a man’s deeds p̄ō·‘al יְשַׁלֶּם־ He repays yə·šal·lem- ל֑וֹ him ; lōw אִ֝֗ישׁ according to a man’s ’îš וּֽכְאֹ֥רַח ways ū·ḵə·’ō·raḥ יַמְצִאֶֽנּוּ׃ He brings consequences . yam·ṣi·’en·nū Job 34:12 אַף־ Indeed , ’ap̄- אָמְנָ֗ם it is true ’ā·mə·nām אֵ֥ל that God ’êl לֹֽא־ does not lō- יַרְשִׁ֑יעַ act wickedly , yar·šî·a‘ וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י and the Almighty wə·šad·day לֹֽא־ does not lō- יְעַוֵּ֥ת pervert yə·‘aw·wêṯ מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ justice . miš·pāṭ Job 34:13 מִֽי־ Who mî- פָקַ֣ד gave Him charge p̄ā·qaḏ עָלָ֣יו ‘ā·lāw אָ֑רְצָה over the earth ? ’ā·rə·ṣāh וּמִ֥י Who ū·mî שָׂ֝֗ם appointed [Him] m כֻּלָּֽהּ׃ [over] the whole kul·lāh תֵּבֵ֥ל world ? tê·ḇêl Job 34:14 אִם־ If ’im- יָשִׂ֣ים He were to set yā·śîm לִבּ֑וֹ His heart lib·bōw אֵלָ֣יו to it ’ê·lāw יֶאֱסֹֽף׃ and withdraw ye·’ĕ·sōp̄ רוּח֥וֹ His Spirit rū·ḥōw וְ֝נִשְׁמָת֗וֹ and breath wə·niš·mā·ṯōw אֵלָ֥יו . . . , ’ê·lāw Job 34:15 כָּל־ all kāl- בָּשָׂ֣ר flesh bā·śār יִגְוַ֣ע would perish yiḡ·wa‘ יָ֑חַד together yā·ḥaḏ וְ֝אָדָ֗ם and mankind wə·’ā·ḏām יָשֽׁוּב׃ would return yā·šūḇ עַל־ to ‘al- עָפָ֥ר the dust . ‘ā·p̄ār Job 34:16 וְאִם־ If wə·’im- בִּ֥ינָה you have understanding , bî·nāh שִׁמְעָה־ hear šim·‘āh- זֹּ֑את this ; zōṯ הַ֝אֲזִ֗ינָה listen to ha·’ă·zî·nāh לְק֣וֹל . . . lə·qō·wl מִלָּֽי׃ my words . mil·lāy Job 34:17 הַאַ֬ף Could ha·’ap̄ שׂוֹנֵ֣א one who hates śō·w·nê מִשְׁפָּ֣ט justice miš·pāṭ יַחֲב֑וֹשׁ govern ? ya·ḥă·ḇō·wōš וְאִם־ . . . wə·’im- תַּרְשִֽׁיעַ׃ Will you condemn tar·šî·a‘ צַדִּ֖יק the just ṣad·dîq כַּבִּ֣יר and mighty One , kab·bîr Job 34:18 הַאֲמֹ֣ר who says ha·’ă·mōr לְמֶ֣לֶךְ to kings , lə·me·leḵ בְּלִיָּ֑עַל ‘ [You are] worthless ! ’ bə·lî·yā·‘al אֶל־ and to ’el- נְדִיבִֽים׃ nobles , nə·ḏî·ḇîm רָ֝שָׁ֗ע ‘ [You are] wicked ,’ rā·šā‘
