נַפְשִֽׁי׃ my soul — nap̄·šî Job 27:3 ע֣וֹד as long as ‘ō·wḏ נִשְׁמָתִ֣י my breath niš·mā·ṯî כָל־ is still ḵāl בִ֑י within me ḇî וְר֖וּחַ and the breath wə·rū·aḥ אֱל֣וֹהַּ of God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah בְּאַפִּֽי׃ remains in my nostrils bə·’ap·pî כִּֽי־ - , kî- Job 27:4 שְׂפָתַ֣י my lips śə·p̄ā·ṯay אִם־ will not ’im- תְּדַבֵּ֣רְנָה speak tə·ḏab·bê·rə·nāh עַוְלָ֑ה wickedness , ‘aw·lāh וּ֝לְשׁוֹנִ֗י and my tongue ū·lə·šō·w·nî אִם־ will not ’im- יֶהְגֶּ֥ה utter yeh·geh רְמִיָּֽה׃ deceit . rə·mî·yāh Job 27:5 חָלִ֣ילָה I will never ḥā·lî·lāh לִּי֮ lî אִם־ - ’im- אַצְדִּ֪יק say that you are right ’aṣ·dîq אֶ֫תְכֶ֥ם - ; ’eṯ·ḵem לֹא־ I will maintain lō- אָסִ֖יר . . . ’ā·sîr תֻּמָּתִ֣י my integrity tum·mā·ṯî מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ . . . mim·men·nî עַד־ until ‘aḏ- אֶגְוָ֑ע I die . ’eḡ·wā‘ Job 27:6 הֶ֭חֱזַקְתִּי I will cling to he·ḥĕ·zaq·tî בְּצִדְקָתִ֣י my righteousness bə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯî וְלֹ֣א and never wə·lō אַרְפֶּ֑הָ let go . ’ar·pe·hā מִיָּמָֽי׃ As long as I live , mî·yā·māy לְ֝בָבִ֗י my conscience lə·ḇā·ḇî לֹֽא־ will not lō- יֶחֱרַ֥ף accuse me . ye·ḥĕ·rap̄ Job 27:7 אֹ֣יְבִ֑י May my enemy ’ō·yə·ḇî יְהִ֣י be yə·hî כְ֭רָשָׁע like the wicked ḵə·rā·šā‘ וּמִתְקוֹמְמִ֥י and my opponent ū·miṯ·qō·wm·mî כְעַוָּֽל׃ like the unjust . ḵə·‘aw·wāl Job 27:8 כִּ֤י For kî מַה־ what [is] mah- תִּקְוַ֣ת the hope tiq·waṯ חָ֭נֵף of the godless ḥā·nêp̄ כִּ֣י when kî יִבְצָ֑ע he is cut off , yiḇ·ṣā‘ כִּ֤י when kî אֱל֣וֹהַּ God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah יֵ֖שֶׁל takes away yê·šel נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ his life ? nap̄·šōw Job 27:9 אֵ֑ל Will God ’êl יִשְׁמַ֥ע׀ hear yiš·ma‘ הַֽ֭צַעֲקָתוֹ his cry ha·ṣa·‘ă·qā·ṯōw כִּֽי־ when kî- צָרָֽה׃ distress ṣā·rāh תָב֖וֹא comes ṯā·ḇō·w עָלָ֣יו upon him ? ‘ā·lāw Job 27:10 יִתְעַנָּ֑ג Will he delight yiṯ·‘an·nāḡ עַל־ in ‘al- שַׁדַּ֥י the Almighty ? šad·day יִקְרָ֖א Will he call upon yiq·rā אֱל֣וֹהַּ God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah בְּכָל־ at all bə·ḵāl עֵֽת׃ times ‘êṯ אִם־ . . . ? ’im- Job 27:11 אוֹרֶ֣ה I will instruct ’ō·w·reh אֶתְכֶ֣ם you ’eṯ·ḵem בְּיַד־ in the power bə·yaḏ- אֵ֑ל of God . ’êl לֹ֣א I will not lō אֲכַחֵֽד׃ conceal ’ă·ḵa·ḥêḏ אֲשֶׁ֥ר the ways of ’ă·šer
