צָפ֣וֹן the north ṣā·p̄ō·wn עַל־ over ‘al- תֹּ֑הוּ empty space ; tō·hū תֹּ֥לֶה He hangs tō·leh אֶ֝֗רֶץ the earth ’e·reṣ עַל־ upon ‘al- בְּלִי־ nothing bə·lî- מָֽה׃ . . . . māh Job 26:8 צֹרֵֽר־ He wraps up ṣō·rêr- מַ֥יִם the waters ma·yim בְּעָבָ֑יו in His clouds , bə·‘ā·ḇāw עָנָ֣ן yet the clouds ‘ā·nān וְלֹא־ do not wə·lō- נִבְקַ֖ע burst niḇ·qa‘ תַּחְתָּֽם׃ under their own weight . taḥ·tām Job 26:9 מְאַחֵ֥ז He covers mə·’a·ḥêz פְּנֵי־ the face pə·nê- כִסֵּ֑ה of the full moon , ḵis·sêh פַּרְשֵׁ֖ז spreading par·šêz עָלָ֣יו over it ‘ā·lāw עֲנָנֽוֹ׃ His cloud . ‘ă·nā·nōw Job 26:10 חָ֭ג He has inscribed ḥāḡ חֹֽק־ a horizon ḥōq- עַל־ on ‘al- פְּנֵי־ the face pə·nê- מָ֑יִם of the waters mā·yim עַד־ at ‘aḏ- תַּכְלִ֖ית the boundary taḵ·lîṯ עִם־ between ‘im- א֣וֹר light ’ō·wr חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ and darkness . ḥō·šeḵ Job 26:11 עַמּוּדֵ֣י The foundations ‘am·mū·ḏê שָׁמַ֣יִם of heaven šā·ma·yim יְרוֹפָ֑פוּ quake , yə·rō·w·p̄ā·p̄ū וְ֝יִתְמְה֗וּ astounded wə·yiṯ·mə·hū מִגַּעֲרָתֽוֹ׃ at His rebuke . mig·ga·‘ă·rā·ṯōw Job 26:12 בְּ֭כֹחוֹ By His power bə·ḵō·ḥōw רָגַ֣ע He stirred rā·ḡa‘ הַיָּ֑ם the sea ; hay·yām וּבִתוּבְנָתוֹ by His understanding ū·ḇi·ṯū·ḇə·nå̄·ṯō מָ֣חַץ He shattered mā·ḥaṣ רָֽהַב׃ Rahab . rā·haḇ Job 26:13 בְּ֭רוּחוֹ By His breath bə·rū·ḥōw שָׁמַ֣יִם the skies šā·ma·yim שִׁפְרָ֑ה were cleared ; šip̄·rāh יָ֝ד֗וֹ His hand yā·ḏōw חֹֽלֲלָ֥ה pierced ḥō·lă·lāh בָּרִֽיחַ׃ the fleeing bā·rî·aḥ נָחָ֥שׁ serpent . nā·ḥāš Job 26:14 הֶן־ Indeed , hen- אֵ֤לֶּה׀ these [are] ’êl·leh קְצ֬וֹת but the fringes qə·ṣō·wṯ דַּרְכּוֹ of His ways ; dar·kō וּמַה־ how ū·mah- שֵּׁ֣מֶץ faint šê·meṣ דָּ֭בָר is the whisper dā·ḇār נִשְׁמַע־ we hear niš·ma‘- בּ֑וֹ of Him ! bōw מִ֣י Who then mî יִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ס can understand yiṯ·bō·w·nān וְרַ֥עַם the thunder wə·ra·‘am גְּבוּרָתוֹ of His power ? ” gə·ḇū·rå̄·ṯō Job 27:1 אִ֭יּוֹב Job ’î·yō·wḇ שְׂאֵ֥ת . . . śə·’êṯ וַיֹּ֣סֶף continued way·yō·sep̄ מְשָׁל֗וֹ his discourse mə·šā·lōw וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ . . . : way·yō·mar Job 27:2 אֵ֭ל “ As surely as God ’êl חַי־ lives , ḥay- הֵסִ֣יר who has deprived me of hê·sîr מִשְׁפָּטִ֑י justice — miš·pā·ṭî וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י the Almighty , wə·šad·day הֵמַ֥ר who has embittered hê·mar
