יִ֝פְנֶה turns yip̄·neh דֶּ֣רֶךְ toward de·reḵ כְּרָמִֽים׃ their vineyards . kə·rā·mîm Job 24:19 צִיָּ֤ה As drought ṣî·yāh גַם־ and ḡam- חֹ֗ם heat ḥōm יִגְזְל֥וּ consume yiḡ·zə·lū מֵֽימֵי־ vvv mê·mê- שֶׁ֗לֶג the melting snow , še·leḡ שְׁא֣וֹל so Sheol šə·’ō·wl חָטָֽאוּ׃ steals those who have sinned . ḥā·ṭā·’ū Job 24:20 רֶ֨חֶם׀ The womb re·ḥem יִשְׁכָּ֘חֵ֤הוּ forgets them ; yiš·kā·ḥê·hū רִמָּ֗ה the worm rim·māh מְתָ֘ק֤וֹ feeds on them ; mə·ṯā·qōw יִזָּכֵ֑ר they are remembered yiz·zā·ḵêr לֹֽא־ no lō- ע֥וֹד more . ‘ō·wḏ עַוְלָֽה׃ So injustice ‘aw·lāh וַתִּשָּׁבֵ֖ר is like a broken wat·tiš·šā·ḇêr כָּעֵ֣ץ tree . kā·‘êṣ Job 24:21 רֹעֶ֣ה They prey rō·‘eh עֲ֭קָרָה on the barren ‘ă·qā·rāh לֹ֣א and childless lō תֵלֵ֑ד . . . , ṯê·lêḏ לֹ֣א and show no lō יְיֵטִֽיב׃ kindness yə·yê·ṭîḇ וְ֝אַלְמָנָ֗ה to the widow . wə·’al·mā·nāh Job 24:22 בְּכֹח֑וֹ Yet by His power , bə·ḵō·ḥōw וּמָשַׁ֣ךְ God drags away ū·mā·šaḵ אַבִּירִ֣ים the mighty ; ’ab·bî·rîm יָ֝ק֗וּם though rising up , yā·qūm וְֽלֹא־ they have no wə·lō- יַאֲמִ֥ין assurance ya·’ă·mîn בַּֽחַיִּֽין׃ of life . ba·ḥay·yîn Job 24:23 יִתֶּן־ He gives yit·ten- ל֣וֹ them lōw לָ֭בֶטַח a sense of security lā·ḇe·ṭaḥ וְיִשָּׁעֵ֑ן . . . , wə·yiš·šā·‘ên וְ֝עֵינֵ֗יהוּ but His eyes wə·‘ê·nê·hū עַל־ are on ‘al- דַּרְכֵיהֶֽם׃ their ways . dar·ḵê·hem Job 24:24 ר֤וֹמּוּ They are exalted rō·wm·mū מְּעַ֨ט׀ for a moment , mə·‘aṭ וְֽאֵינֶ֗נּוּ then they are gone ; wə·’ê·nen·nū וְֽהֻמְּכ֗וּ they are brought low wə·hum·mə·ḵū יִקָּפְצ֑וּן and gathered up yiq·qā·p̄ə·ṣūn כַּכֹּ֥ל like all others ; kak·kōl יִמָּֽלוּ׃ they are cut off yim·mā·lū וּכְרֹ֖אשׁ like heads ū·ḵə·rōš שִׁבֹּ֣לֶת of grain . šib·bō·leṯ Job 24:25 וְאִם־ If wə·’im- לֹ֣א this is not so , lō אֵ֭פוֹ then ’ê·p̄ōw מִ֣י who mî יַכְזִיבֵ֑נִי can prove me a liar yaḵ·zî·ḇê·nî וְיָשֵׂ֥ם and reduce wə·yā·śêm מִלָּתִֽי׃ס my words mil·lā·ṯî לְ֝אַ֗ל to nothing ? ” lə·’al Job 25:1 בִּלְדַּ֥ד Then Bildad bil·daḏ הַשֻּׁחִ֗י the Shuhite haš·šu·ḥî וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ . . . way·yō·mar וַ֭יַּעַן replied : way·ya·‘an Job 25:2 הַמְשֵׁ֣ל “ Dominion ham·šêl וָפַ֣חַד and awe wā·p̄a·ḥaḏ עִמּ֑וֹ belong to [God] ; ‘im·mōw עֹשֶׂ֥ה He establishes ‘ō·śeh שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם harmony lō·wm בִּמְרוֹמָֽיו׃ in the heights of heaven . bim·rō·w·māw Job 25:3 הֲיֵ֣שׁ - hă·yêš
