כִּסָּה־ that covers kis·sāh- וּ֝מִפָּנַ֗י my face . [’’] ū·mip·pā·nay Job 24:1 מַדּ֗וּעַ [“] Why mad·dū·a‘ מִ֭שַּׁדַּי does the Almighty miš·šad·day לֹא־ not lō- נִצְפְּנ֣וּ reserve niṣ·pə·nū עִתִּ֑ים times for judgment ? ‘it·tîm וְיֹדְעוֹ Why may those who know Him wə·yō·ḏə·ʿō לֹא־ never lō- חָ֥זוּ see ḥā·zū יָמָֽיו׃ His days ? yā·māw Job 24:2 יַשִּׂ֑יגוּ Men move yaś·śî·ḡū גְּבֻל֥וֹת boundary stones ; gə·ḇu·lō·wṯ וַיִּרְעֽוּ׃ they pasture way·yir·‘ū גָּ֝זְל֗וּ stolen gā·zə·lū עֵ֥דֶר flocks . ‘ê·ḏer Job 24:3 יִנְהָ֑גוּ They drive away yin·hā·ḡū חֲמ֣וֹר the donkey ḥă·mō·wr יְתוֹמִ֣ים of the fatherless yə·ṯō·w·mîm אַלְמָנָֽה׃ and take the widow’s ’al·mā·nāh שׁ֣וֹר ox šō·wr יַ֝חְבְּל֗וּ in pledge . yaḥ·bə·lū Job 24:4 יַטּ֣וּ They push yaṭ·ṭū אֶבְיוֹנִ֣ים the needy ’eḇ·yō·w·nîm מִדָּ֑רֶךְ off the road mid·dā·reḵ יַ֥חַד and force all ya·ḥaḏ עֲנִיֵּי־ the poor ‘ă·nî·yê- אָֽרֶץ׃ of the land ’ā·reṣ חֻ֝בְּא֗וּ into hiding . ḥub·bə·’ū Job 24:5 הֵ֤ן Indeed , hên פְּרָאִ֨ים׀ [like] wild donkeys pə·rā·’îm בַּֽמִּדְבָּ֗ר in the desert , bam·miḏ·bār יָצְא֣וּ the poor go yā·ṣə·’ū בְּ֭פָעֳלָם to work bə·p̄ā·‘o·lām מְשַׁחֲרֵ֣י foraging mə·ša·ḥă·rê לַטָּ֑רֶף for food ; laṭ·ṭā·rep̄ עֲרָבָ֥ה the wasteland ‘ă·rā·ḇāh ל֥וֹ lōw לֶ֝֗חֶם is food le·ḥem לַנְּעָרִֽים׃ for their children . lan·nə·‘ā·rîm Job 24:6 יַקְצִירוּ They gather yaq·ṣī·rū בְּלִיל֣וֹ fodder bə·lî·lōw בַּ֭שָּׂדֶה in the fields baś·śā·ḏeh יְלַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃ and glean yə·laq·qê·šū וְכֶ֖רֶם the vineyards wə·ḵe·rem רָשָׁ֣ע of the wicked . rā·šā‘ Job 24:7 מִבְּלִ֣י Without mib·bə·lî לְב֑וּשׁ clothing , lə·ḇūš יָ֭לִינוּ they spend the night yā·lî·nū עָר֣וֹם naked ; ‘ā·rō·wm וְאֵ֥ין they have no wə·’ên כְּ֝ס֗וּת covering kə·sūṯ בַּקָּרָֽה׃ against the cold . baq·qā·rāh Job 24:8 יִרְטָ֑בוּ Drenched yir·ṭā·ḇū הָרִ֣ים by mountain hā·rîm מִזֶּ֣רֶם rains , miz·ze·rem חִבְּקוּ־ they huddle ḥib·bə·qū- צֽוּר׃ against the rocks ṣūr וּֽמִבְּלִ֥י for want ū·mib·bə·lî מַ֝חְסֶ֗ה of shelter . maḥ·seh Job 24:9 יָת֑וֹם The fatherless infant yā·ṯō·wm יִ֭גְזְלוּ is snatched yiḡ·zə·lū מִשֹּׁ֣ד from the breast ; miš·šōḏ וְֽעַל־ the nursing child wə·‘al- עָנִ֥י of the poor ‘ā·nî יַחְבֹּֽלוּ׃ is seized for a debt . yaḥ·bō·lū Job 24:10 בְּלִ֣י Without bə·lî לְב֑וּשׁ clothing , lə·ḇūš הִ֭לְּכוּ they wander about hil·lə·ḵū עָר֣וֹם naked . ‘ā·rō·wm
