וְיִשְׁמָעֶ֑ךָּ and He will hear you , wə·yiš·mā·‘e·kā תְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ and you will fulfill ṯə·šal·lêm וּנְדָרֶ֥יךָ your vows . ū·nə·ḏā·re·ḵā Job 22:28 וְֽתִגְזַר־ Your decisions wə·ṯiḡ·zar- א֭וֹמֶר . . . ’ō·w·mer וְיָ֣קָם will be carried out wə·yā·qām לָ֑ךְ , lāḵ אֽוֹר׃ and light ’ō·wr נָ֣גַֽהּ will shine nā·ḡah וְעַל־ on wə·‘al- דְּ֝רָכֶ֗יךָ your ways . də·rā·ḵe·ḵā Job 22:29 כִּֽי־ When kî- הִ֭שְׁפִּילוּ men are brought low hiš·pî·lū וַתֹּ֣אמֶר and you say , wat·tō·mer גֵּוָ֑ה ‘ Lift them up ! ’ gê·wāh יוֹשִֽׁעַ׃ then He will save yō·wō·ši·a‘ וְשַׁ֖ח the lowly wə·šaḥ עֵינַ֣יִם . . . . ‘ê·na·yim Job 22:30 יְֽמַלֵּ֥ט He will deliver [even] yə·mal·lēṭ אִֽי־ [one who is] not ’î- נָקִ֑י innocent , nā·qî וְ֝נִמְלַ֗ט rescuing him wə·nim·laṭ בְּבֹ֣ר through the cleanness bə·ḇōr כַּפֶּֽיךָ׃פ of your hands . ” kap·pe·ḵā Job 23:1 אִיּ֗וֹב Then Job ’î·yō·wḇ וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ . . . way·yō·mar וַיַּ֥עַן answered : way·ya·‘an Job 23:2 גַּם־ “ Even gam- הַ֭יּוֹם today hay·yō·wm שִׂחִ֑י my complaint śi·ḥî מְרִ֣י is bitter . mə·rî יָ֝דִ֗י His hand yā·ḏî כָּבְדָ֥ה is heavy kā·ḇə·ḏāh עַל־ despite ‘al- אַנְחָתִֽי׃ my groaning . ’an·ḥā·ṯî Job 23:3 מִֽי־ If only mî- יִתֵּ֣ן . . . yit·tên יָ֭דַעְתִּי I knew yā·ḏa‘·tî וְאֶמְצָאֵ֑הוּ where to find Him , wə·’em·ṣā·’ê·hū אָ֝ב֗וֹא so that I could go ’ā·ḇō·w עַד־ to ‘aḏ- תְּכוּנָתֽוֹ׃ His seat . tə·ḵū·nā·ṯōw Job 23:4 אֶעֶרְכָ֣ה I would plead ’e·‘er·ḵāh מִשְׁפָּ֑ט my case miš·pāṭ לְפָנָ֣יו before Him lə·p̄ā·nāw וּ֝פִ֗י and fill my mouth ū·p̄î אֲמַלֵּ֥א with ’ă·mal·lê תוֹכָחֽוֹת׃ arguments . ṯō·w·ḵā·ḥō·wṯ Job 23:5 אֵ֭דְעָה I would learn ’ê·ḏə·‘āh מִלִּ֣ים how mil·lîm יַעֲנֵ֑נִי He would answer , ya·‘ă·nê·nî וְ֝אָבִ֗ינָה and consider wə·’ā·ḇî·nāh מַה־ what mah- יֹּ֥אמַר He would say . yō·mar לִֽי׃ lî Job 23:6 יָרִ֣יב Would He contend yā·rîḇ עִמָּדִ֑י with me ‘im·mā·ḏî הַבְּרָב־ in His great hab·bə·rāḇ- כֹּ֭חַ power ? kō·aḥ לֹ֥א No , lō ה֝֗וּא He hū אַךְ־ would certainly ’aḵ- יָשִׂ֥ם take [note] yā·śim בִּֽי׃ of me . bî Job 23:7 שָׁ֗ם Then šām יָ֭שָׁר an upright man yā·šār נוֹכָ֣ח could reason nō·w·ḵāḥ עִמּ֑וֹ with Him , ‘im·mōw וַאֲפַלְּטָ֥ה and I would be delivered wa·’ă·p̄al·lə·ṭāh לָ֝נֶ֗צַח forever lā·ne·ṣaḥ
