מִשֹּׁפְטִֽי׃ from my Judge . miš·šō·p̄ə·ṭî Job 23:8 הֵ֤ן If hên אֶהֱלֹ֣ךְ I go ’e·hĕ·lōḵ קֶ֣דֶם east , qe·ḏem וְאֵינֶ֑נּוּ He is not there , wə·’ê·nen·nū וְ֝אָח֗וֹר and if I go west , wə·’ā·ḥō·wr וְֽלֹא־ I cannot wə·lō- אָבִ֥ין find ’ā·ḇîn לֽוֹ׃ Him . lōw Job 23:9 בַּעֲשֹׂת֣וֹ When He is at work ba·‘ă·śō·ṯōw שְׂמֹ֣אול in the north , śə·mō·wl וְלֹא־ I cannot wə·lō- אָ֑חַז behold [Him] ; ’ā·ḥaz יַעְטֹ֥ף when He turns ya‘·ṭōp̄ יָ֝מִ֗ין to the south , yā·mîn וְלֹ֣א I cannot wə·lō אֶרְאֶֽה׃ see [Him] . ’er·’eh Job 23:10 כִּֽי־ Yet kî- יָ֭דַע He knows yā·ḏa‘ דֶּ֣רֶךְ the way I have taken de·reḵ עִמָּדִ֑י . . . ; ‘im·mā·ḏî בְּ֝חָנַ֗נִי when He has tested me , bə·ḥā·na·nî אֵצֵֽא׃ I will come forth ’ê·ṣê כַּזָּהָ֥ב as gold . kaz·zā·hāḇ Job 23:11 רַגְלִ֑י My feet raḡ·lî אָחֲזָ֣ה have followed ’ā·ḥă·zāh בַּ֭אֲשֻׁרוֹ in His tracks ; ba·’ă·šu·rōw שָׁמַ֣רְתִּי I have kept šā·mar·tî דַּרְכּ֖וֹ His way dar·kōw וְלֹא־ without wə·lō- אָֽט׃ turning aside . ’āṭ Job 23:12 וְלֹ֣א I have not wə·lō אָמִ֑ישׁ departed ’ā·mîš מִצְוַ֣ת from the command miṣ·waṯ שְׂ֭פָתָיו of His lips ; p̄ā·ṯāw צָפַ֥נְתִּי I have treasured ṣā·p̄an·tî אִמְרֵי־ the words ’im·rê- פִֽיו׃ of His mouth p̄îw מֵ֝חֻקִּ֗י more than my daily bread . mê·ḥuq·qî Job 23:13 וְה֣וּא But He is unchangeable wə·hū בְ֭אֶחָד . . . , ḇə·’e·ḥāḏ וּמִ֣י and who ū·mî יְשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ can oppose Him ? yə·šî·ḇen·nū וַיָּֽעַשׂ׃ He does way·yā·‘aś וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹ what He wə·nap̄·šōw אִוְּתָ֣ה desires . ’iw·wə·ṯāh Job 23:14 כִּ֭י For kî יַשְׁלִ֣ים He carries out yaš·lîm חֻקִּ֑י His decree against me , ḥuq·qî עִמּֽוֹ׃ and He has ‘im·mōw רַבּ֣וֹת many rab·bō·wṯ וְכָהֵ֖נָּה such plans . wə·ḵā·hên·nāh Job 23:15 עַל־ Therefore ‘al- כֵּ֭ן . . . kên אֶבָּהֵ֑ל I am terrified ’eb·bā·hêl מִפָּנָ֣יו in His presence ; mip·pā·nāw אֶ֝תְבּוֹנֵ֗ן when I consider this , ’eṯ·bō·w·nên וְאֶפְחַ֥ד I fear wə·’ep̄·ḥaḏ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ Him . mim·men·nū Job 23:16 וְ֭אֵל God wə·’êl לִבִּ֑י has made my heart lib·bî הֵרַ֣ךְ faint ; hê·raḵ וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י the Almighty wə·šad·day הִבְהִילָֽנִי׃ has terrified me . hiḇ·hî·lā·nî Job 23:17 כִּֽי־ Yet kî- לֹ֣א I am not lō נִ֭צְמַתִּי silenced niṣ·mat·tî מִפְּנֵי־ by mip·pə·nê- חֹ֑שֶׁךְ the darkness , ḥō·šeḵ אֹֽפֶל׃ by the thick darkness ’ō·p̄el
