Job 21:22 יְלַמֶּד־ Can anyone teach yə·lam·meḏ- דָּ֑עַת knowledge dā·‘aṯ הַלְאֵ֥ל to God , hal·’êl וְ֝ה֗וּא since He wə·hū יִשְׁפּֽוֹט׃ judges yiš·pō·wṭ רָמִ֥ים those on high ? rā·mîm Job 21:23 זֶ֗ה One man zeh יָ֭מוּת dies yā·mūṯ בְּעֶ֣צֶם full of vigor bə·‘e·ṣem תֻּמּ֑וֹ . . . , tum·mōw כֻּ֝לּ֗וֹ completely kul·lōw שַׁלְאֲנַ֥ן secure šal·’ă·nan וְשָׁלֵֽיו׃ and at ease . wə·šā·lêw Job 21:24 עֲ֭טִינָיו His body ‘ă·ṭî·nāw מָלְא֣וּ is well nourished mā·lə·’ū חָלָ֑ב . . . , ḥā·lāḇ עַצְמוֹתָ֣יו and his bones ‘aṣ·mō·w·ṯāw יְשֻׁקֶּֽה׃ [are] rich yə·šuq·qeh וּמֹ֖חַ with marrow . ū·mō·aḥ Job 21:25 וְזֶ֗ה Yet another man wə·zeh יָ֭מוּת dies yā·mūṯ מָרָ֑ה in the bitterness mā·rāh בְּנֶ֣פֶשׁ of his soul , bə·ne·p̄eš וְלֹֽא־ having never wə·lō- אָ֝כַ֗ל tasted ’ā·ḵal בַּטּוֹבָֽה׃ prosperity . baṭ·ṭō·w·ḇāh Job 21:26 יַ֭חַד But together ya·ḥaḏ יִשְׁכָּ֑בוּ they lie down yiš·kā·ḇū עַל־ in ‘al- עָפָ֣ר the dust , ‘ā·p̄ār וְ֝רִמָּ֗ה and worms wə·rim·māh תְּכַסֶּ֥ה cover them tə·ḵas·seh עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ [both] . ‘ă·lê·hem Job 21:27 הֵ֣ן Behold , hên יָ֭דַעְתִּי I know yā·ḏa‘·tî מַחְשְׁבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם your thoughts full well , maḥ·šə·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem וּ֝מְזִמּ֗וֹת the schemes by which ū·mə·zim·mō·wṯ תַּחְמֹֽסוּ׃ you would wrong taḥ·mō·sū עָלַ֥י me . ‘ā·lay Job 21:28 כִּ֤י For kî תֹֽאמְר֗וּ you say , ṯō·mə·rū אַיֵּ֥ה ‘ Where ’ay·yêh נָדִ֑יב now is the nobleman’s nā·ḏîḇ בֵית־ house , ḇêṯ- וְ֝אַיֵּ֗ה and where wə·’ay·yêh אֹ֤הֶל׀ are the tents ’ō·hel רְשָׁעִֽים׃ in which the wicked rə·šā·‘îm מִשְׁכְּנ֬וֹת dwell ? ’ miš·kə·nō·wṯ Job 21:29 הֲלֹ֣א Have you never hă·lō שְׁ֭אֶלְתֶּם asked ’el·tem ע֣וֹבְרֵי those who travel ‘ō·wḇ·rê דָ֑רֶךְ the roads ? ḏā·reḵ לֹ֣א Do you not lō תְנַכֵּֽרוּ׃ accept ṯə·nak·kê·rū וְ֝אֹתֹתָ֗ם their reports ? wə·’ō·ṯō·ṯām Job 21:30 כִּ֤י Indeed , kî רָ֑ע the evil rā‘ יֵחָ֣שֶׂךְ man is spared yê·ḥā·śeḵ לְי֣וֹם from the day lə·yō·wm אֵ֭יד of calamity , ’êḏ יוּבָֽלוּ׃ delivered yū·ḇā·lū לְי֖וֹם from the day lə·yō·wm עֲבָר֣וֹת of wrath . ‘ă·ḇā·rō·wṯ Job 21:31 מִֽי־ Who mî- יַגִּ֣יד denounces yag·gîḏ דַּרְכּ֑וֹ his behavior dar·kōw עַל־ to ‘al- פָּנָ֣יו his face ? pā·nāw מִ֣י Who mî יְשַׁלֶּם־ repays yə·šal·lem- לֽוֹ׃ him lōw וְהֽוּא־ for what he wə·hū-
