וְתִגְרַ֖ע or limit wə·ṯiḡ·ra‘ חָכְמָֽה׃ wisdom ḥāḵ·māh אֵלֶ֣יךָ to yourself ? ’ê·le·ḵā Job 15:9 מַה־ What mah- יָּ֭דַעְתָּ do you know yā·ḏa‘·tā וְלֹ֣א that we do not wə·lō נֵדָ֑ע . . . ? nê·ḏā‘ תָּ֝בִ֗ין What do you understand tā·ḇîn וְֽלֹא־ that is not wə·lō- עִמָּ֥נוּ clear to us ‘im·mā·nū הֽוּא׃ . . . ? hū Job 15:10 גַּם־ Both gam- שָׂ֣ב the gray-haired śāḇ גַּם־ and gam- יָשִׁ֣ישׁ the aged yā·šîš בָּ֑נוּ are on our side — bā·nū כַּבִּ֖יר men much older kab·bîr יָמִֽים׃ . . . yā·mîm מֵאָבִ֣יךָ than your father . mê·’ā·ḇî·ḵā Job 15:11 תַּנְחֻמ֣וֹת Are the consolations tan·ḥu·mō·wṯ אֵ֑ל of God ’êl הַמְעַ֣ט not enough ham·‘aṭ מִ֭מְּךָ for you , mim·mə·ḵā וְ֝דָבָ֗ר even words wə·ḏā·ḇār לָאַ֥ט [spoken] gently lā·’aṭ עִמָּֽךְ׃ to you ? ‘im·māḵ Job 15:12 מַה־ Why mah- לִבֶּ֑ךָ has your heart lib·be·ḵā יִּקָּחֲךָ֥ carried you away , yiq·qā·ḥă·ḵā וּֽמַה־ and why ū·mah- עֵינֶֽיךָ׃ do your eyes ‘ê·ne·ḵā יִּרְזְמ֥וּן flash , yir·zə·mūn Job 15:13 כִּֽי־ as kî- תָשִׁ֣יב you turn ṯā·šîḇ רוּחֶ֑ךָ your spirit rū·ḥe·ḵā אֶל־ against ’el- אֵ֣ל God ’êl מִלִּֽין׃ and pour such words mil·lîn וְהֹצֵ֖אתָ from wə·hō·ṣê·ṯā מִפִּ֣יךָ your mouth ? mip·pî·ḵā Job 15:14 מָֽה־ What māh- אֱנ֥וֹשׁ is man , ’ĕ·nō·wōš כִּֽי־ that kî- יִזְכֶּ֑ה he should be pure , yiz·keh יְל֣וּד or one born yə·lūḏ אִשָּֽׁה׃ of woman , ’iš·šāh וְכִֽי־ that wə·ḵî- יִ֝צְדַּ֗ק he should be righteous ? yiṣ·daq Job 15:15 הֵ֣ן If hên לֹ֣א God puts no lō יַאֲמִ֑ין trust ya·’ă·mîn בִּקְדֹשׁוֹ in His holy ones , biq·ḏō·šō וְ֝שָׁמַ֗יִם if even the heavens wə·šā·ma·yim לֹא־ are not lō- זַכּ֥וּ pure zak·kū בְעֵינָֽיו׃ in His eyes , ḇə·‘ê·nāw Job 15:16 אַ֭ף how much less ’ap̄ כִּֽי־ . . . kî- אִישׁ־ man , ’îš- נִתְעָ֥ב who is vile niṯ·‘āḇ וְֽנֶאֱלָ֑ח and corrupt , wə·ne·’ĕ·lāḥ שֹׁתֶ֖ה who drinks šō·ṯeh עַוְלָֽה׃ injustice ‘aw·lāh כַמַּ֣יִם like water ? ḵam·ma·yim Job 15:17 שְֽׁמַֽע־ Listen šə·ma‘- לִ֑י to me lî אֲחַוְךָ֥ and I will inform you . ’ă·ḥaw·ḵā וַאֲסַפֵּֽרָה׃ I will describe wa·’ă·sap·pê·rāh וְזֶֽה־ what wə·zeh- חָ֝זִ֗יתִי I have seen , ḥā·zî·ṯî
