Job 15:18 אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- יַגִּ֑ידוּ was declared yag·gî·ḏū חֲכָמִ֥ים by wise men ḥă·ḵā·mîm וְלֹ֥א and was not wə·lō כִֽ֝חֲד֗וּ concealed ḵi·ḥă·ḏū מֵאֲבוֹתָֽם׃ from their fathers , mê·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām Job 15:19 לָהֶ֣ם to whom lā·hem לְ֭בַדָּם alone lə·ḇad·dām הָאָ֑רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ נִתְּנָ֣ה was given nit·tə·nāh וְלֹא־ when no wə·lō- זָ֣ר foreigner zār עָ֖בַר passed ‘ā·ḇar בְּתוֹכָֽם׃ among them . bə·ṯō·w·ḵām Job 15:20 רָ֭שָׁע A wicked rā·šā‘ מִתְחוֹלֵ֑ל man writhes in pain miṯ·ḥō·w·lêl כָּל־ all kāl- ה֣וּא his hū יְמֵ֣י days ; yə·mê וּמִסְפַּ֥ר only a few ū·mis·par שָׁ֝נִ֗ים years nîm נִצְפְּנ֥וּ are reserved niṣ·pə·nū לֶעָרִֽיץ׃ for the ruthless . le·‘ā·rîṣ Job 15:21 קוֹל־ Sounds qō·wl- פְּחָדִ֥ים of terror pə·ḥā·ḏîm בְּאָזְנָ֑יו fill his ears ; bə·’ā·zə·nāw בַּ֝שָּׁל֗וֹם in his prosperity baš·šā·lō·wm שׁוֹדֵ֥ד the destroyer šō·w·ḏêḏ יְבוֹאֶֽנּוּ׃ attacks him . yə·ḇō·w·’en·nū Job 15:22 לֹא־ vvv lō- יַאֲמִ֣ין He despairs of ya·’ă·mîn שׁ֭וּב his return ūḇ מִנִּי־ from min·nî- חֹ֑שֶׁךְ darkness ; ḥō·šeḵ ה֣וּא he hū וְצָפוּ is marked wə·ṣå̄·p̄ū אֱלֵי־ for ’ĕ·lê- חָֽרֶב׃ the sword . ḥā·reḇ Job 15:23 ה֣וּא He hū נֹ֘דֵ֤ד wanders about nō·ḏêḏ לַלֶּ֣חֶם as food lal·le·ḥem אַיֵּ֑ה for vultures ; ’ay·yêh יָדַ֓ע׀ he knows yā·ḏa‘ כִּֽי־ . . . kî- נָכ֖וֹן . . . nā·ḵō·wn יֽוֹם־ the day yō·wm- חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ of darkness ḥō·šeḵ בְּיָד֣וֹ is at hand . bə·yā·ḏōw Job 15:24 צַ֣ר Distress ṣar וּמְצוּקָ֑ה and anguish ū·mə·ṣū·qāh יְֽ֭בַעֲתֻהוּ terrify him , yə·ḇa·‘ă·ṯu·hū תִּ֝תְקְפֵ֗הוּ overwhelming him tiṯ·qə·p̄ê·hū כְּמֶ֤לֶךְ׀ like a king kə·me·leḵ עָתִ֬יד poised ‘ā·ṯîḏ לַכִּידֽוֹר׃ to attack . lak·kî·ḏō·wr Job 15:25 כִּֽי־ For kî- נָטָ֣ה he has stretched out nā·ṭāh יָד֑וֹ his hand yā·ḏōw אֶל־ against ’el- אֵ֣ל God ’êl יִתְגַּבָּֽר׃ and has vaunted himself yiṯ·gab·bār וְאֶל־ against wə·’e·lō·ša- שַׁ֝דַּ֗י the Almighty , day Job 15:26 יָר֣וּץ rushing yā·rūṣ בְּצַוָּ֑אר headlong bə·ṣaw·wār אֵלָ֣יו at Him ’ê·lāw בַּ֝עֲבִ֗י with a thick , ba·‘ă·ḇî גַּבֵּ֥י studded gab·bê מָֽגִנָּֽיו׃ shield . mā·ḡin·nāw Job 15:27 כִּֽי־ Though kî- פָנָ֣יו his face p̄ā·nāw כִסָּ֣ה is covered ḵis·sāh בְּחֶלְבּ֑וֹ with fat bə·ḥel·bōw
