לַאֲשֶׁ֤ר - la·’ă·šer וּֽ֭בַטֻּחוֹת are secure — ū·ḇaṭ·ṭu·ḥō·wṯ הֵבִ֖יא those who carry hê·ḇî אֱל֣וֹהַּ their god ’ĕ·lō·w·ah בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ in their hands . bə·yā·ḏōw Job 12:7 וְֽאוּלָ֗ם But wə·’ū·lām שְׁאַל־ ask šə·’al- נָ֣א . . . nā בְהֵמ֣וֹת the animals , ḇə·hê·mō·wṯ וְתֹרֶ֑ךָּ and they will instruct you ; wə·ṯō·re·kā וְע֥וֹף ask the birds wə·‘ō·wp̄ הַ֝שָּׁמַ֗יִם of the air , haš·šā·ma·yim וְיַגֶּד־ and they will tell wə·yag·geḏ- לָֽךְ׃ you . lāḵ Job 12:8 א֤וֹ Or ’ōw שִׂ֣יחַ speak śî·aḥ לָאָ֣רֶץ to the earth , lā·’ā·reṣ וְתֹרֶ֑ךָּ and it will teach you ; wə·ṯō·re·kā דְּגֵ֣י let the fish də·ḡê הַיָּֽם׃ of the sea hay·yām וִֽיסַפְּר֥וּ inform wî·sap·pə·rū לְ֝ךָ֗ you . lə·ḵā Job 12:9 מִ֭י Which mî בְּכָל־ of all bə·ḵāl אֵ֑לֶּה these ’êl·leh לֹא־ does not lō- יָדַ֣ע know yā·ḏa‘ כִּ֥י that kî יַד־ the hand yaḏ- יְ֝הוָה of YHWH Yah·weh עָ֣שְׂתָה has done ‘ā·śə·ṯāh זֹּֽאת׃ this ? zōṯ Job 12:10 אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer נֶ֣פֶשׁ The life ne·p̄eš כָּל־ of every kāl- חָ֑י living thing ḥāy בְּ֭יָדוֹ is in His hand , bə·yā·ḏōw וְ֝ר֗וּחַ as well as the breath wə·rū·aḥ כָּל־ of all kāl- בְּשַׂר־ mankind bə·śar- אִֽישׁ׃ . . . . ’îš Job 12:11 הֲלֹא־ Does not hă·lō- אֹ֭זֶן the ear ’ō·zen תִּבְחָ֑ן test tiḇ·ḥān מִלִּ֣ין words mil·lîn וְ֝חֵ֗ךְ as the tongue wə·ḥêḵ יִטְעַם־ tastes yiṭ·‘am- לֽוֹ׃ its lōw אֹ֣כֶל food ? ’ō·ḵel Job 12:12 חָכְמָ֑ה Wisdom ḥāḵ·māh בִּֽישִׁישִׁ֥ים is found with the elderly , bî·šî·šîm תְּבוּנָֽה׃ and understanding tə·ḇū·nāh וְאֹ֖רֶךְ comes with long wə·’ō·reḵ יָמִ֣ים life . yā·mîm Job 12:13 חָכְמָ֣ה Wisdom ḥāḵ·māh וּגְבוּרָ֑ה and strength ū·ḡə·ḇū·rāh ל֝֗וֹ lōw עִ֭מּוֹ belong to God ; ‘im·mōw עֵצָ֥ה counsel ‘ê·ṣāh וּתְבוּנָֽה׃ and understanding are His . ū·ṯə·ḇū·nāh Job 12:14 הֵ֣ן What hên יַ֭הֲרוֹס He tears down ya·hă·rō·ws וְלֹ֣א cannot wə·lō יִבָּנֶ֑ה be rebuilt ; yib·bā·neh אִ֝֗ישׁ the man ’îš יִסְגֹּ֥ר He imprisons yis·gōr עַל־ . . . ‘al- וְלֹ֣א cannot wə·lō יִפָּתֵֽחַ׃ be released . yip·pā·ṯê·aḥ Job 12:15 הֵ֤ן If hên יַעְצֹ֣ר He holds back ya‘·ṣōr בַּמַּ֣יִם the waters , bam·ma·yim וְיִבָ֑שׁוּ they dry up , wə·yi·ḇā·šū
