Job 11:17 חָ֑לֶד Your life ḥā·leḏ יָק֣וּם will be brighter yā·qūm וּֽ֭מִצָּהֳרַיִם than noonday ; ū·miṣ·ṣā·ho·ra·yim תָּ֝עֻ֗פָה its darkness tā·‘u·p̄āh תִּהְיֶֽה׃ will be tih·yeh כַּבֹּ֥קֶר like the morning . kab·bō·qer Job 11:18 וּֽ֭בָטַחְתָּ You will be secure , ū·ḇā·ṭaḥ·tā כִּי־ because kî- יֵ֣שׁ there is yêš תִּקְוָ֑ה hope , tiq·wāh וְ֝חָפַרְתָּ֗ and you will look around wə·ḥā·p̄ar·tā תִּשְׁכָּֽב׃ and lie down tiš·kāḇ לָבֶ֥טַח in safety . lā·ḇe·ṭaḥ Job 11:19 וְֽ֭רָבַצְתָּ You will lie down wə·rā·ḇaṣ·tā וְאֵ֣ין without wə·’ên מַחֲרִ֑יד fear , ma·ḥă·rîḏ רַבִּֽים׃ and many rab·bîm וְחִלּ֖וּ will court wə·ḥil·lū פָנֶ֣יךָ your favor . p̄ā·ne·ḵā Job 11:20 וְעֵינֵ֥י But the eyes wə·‘ê·nê רְשָׁעִ֗ים of the wicked rə·šā·‘îm תִּ֫כְלֶ֥ינָה will fail , tiḵ·le·nāh וּ֭מָנוֹס and escape ū·mā·nō·ws אָבַ֣ד will elude them ’ā·ḇaḏ מִנְהֶ֑ם . . . ; min·hem וְ֝תִקְוָתָ֗ם they will hope wə·ṯiq·wā·ṯām מַֽפַּח־ for their last breath map·paḥ- נָֽפֶשׁ׃פ . . . . ” nā·p̄eš Job 12:1 אִיּ֗וֹב Then Job ’î·yō·wḇ וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ . . . way·yō·mar וַיַּ֥עַן answered : way·ya·‘an Job 12:2 אָ֭מְנָם “ Truly ’ā·mə·nām כִּ֣י then kî אַתֶּם־ you ’at·tem- עָ֑ם are the people ‘ām וְ֝עִמָּכֶ֗ם with [whom] wə·‘im·mā·ḵem חָכְמָֽה׃ wisdom [itself] ḥāḵ·māh תָּמ֥וּת will die ! tā·mūṯ Job 12:3 גַּם־ But I also gam- לִ֤י have lî לֵבָ֨ב׀ a mind ; lê·ḇāḇ כְּֽמוֹכֶ֗ם . . . kə·mō·w·ḵem אָנֹכִ֣י I ’ā·nō·ḵî לֹא־ am not lō- נֹפֵ֣ל inferior nō·p̄êl מִכֶּ֑ם to you . mik·kem וְאֶת־ . . . wə·’eṯ- מִי־ Who mî- אֵ֥ין does not [know] ’ên כְּמוֹ־ such things kə·mōw- אֵֽלֶּה׃ as these ? ’êl·leh Job 12:4 אֶֽהְיֶ֗ה I am ’eh·yeh שְׂחֹ֤ק a laughingstock śə·ḥōq לְרֵעֵ֨הוּ׀ to my friends , lə·rê·‘ê·hū קֹרֵ֣א though I called qō·rê לֶ֭אֱלוֹהַּ on God , le·’ĕ·lō·w·ah וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֑הוּ and He answered . way·ya·‘ă·nê·hū צַדִּ֥יק The righteous ṣad·dîq תָּמִֽים׃ and upright man tā·mîm שְׂ֝ח֗וֹק is a laughingstock . ḥō·wq Job 12:5 שַׁאֲנָ֑ן The one at ease ša·’ă·nān בּ֭וּז scorns būz לַפִּ֣יד misfortune lap·pîḏ לְעַשְׁתּ֣וּת as the fate lə·‘aš·tūṯ נָ֝כ֗וֹן . . . nā·ḵō·wn רָֽגֶל׃ of those whose feet rā·ḡel לְמ֣וֹעֲדֵי are slipping . lə·mō·w·‘ă·ḏê Job 12:6 אֹֽהָלִ֨ים׀ The tents ’ō·hā·lîm לְשֹׁ֥דְדִ֗ים of robbers lə·šō·ḏə·ḏîm יִשְׁלָ֤יוּ are safe , yiš·lā·yū לְמַרְגִּ֣יזֵי and those who provoke lə·mar·gî·zê אֵ֑ל God ’êl
