עַד־ . . . ‘aḏ- תִּמְצָֽא׃ discover tim·ṣā תַּכְלִ֖ית the limits taḵ·lîṯ שַׁדַּ֣י of the Almighty ? šad·day Job 11:8 גָּבְהֵ֣י They are higher gā·ḇə·hê שָׁ֭מַיִם than the heavens — ma·yim מַה־ what mah- תִּפְעָ֑ל can you do ? tip̄·‘āl עֲמֻקָּ֥ה They are deeper ‘ă·muq·qāh מִ֝שְּׁא֗וֹל than Sheol — miš·šə·’ō·wl מַה־ what mah- תֵּדָֽע׃ can you know ? tê·ḏā‘ Job 11:9 מִדָּ֑הּ Their measure mid·dāh אֲרֻכָּ֣ה is longer ’ă·ruk·kāh מִנִּי־ than min·nî- מֵאֶ֣רֶץ the earth mê·’e·reṣ וּ֝רְחָבָ֗ה and wider ū·rə·ḥā·ḇāh יָֽם׃ than the sea . yām Job 11:10 אִם־ If ’im- יַחֲלֹ֥ף He comes along ya·ḥă·lōp̄ וְיַסְגִּ֑יר to imprison you , wə·yas·gîr וְ֝יַקְהִ֗יל or convenes a court , wə·yaq·hîl וּמִ֣י who ū·mî יְשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃ can stop Him ? yə·šî·ḇen·nū Job 11:11 כִּי־ Surely kî- ה֭וּא He hū יָדַ֣ע knows yā·ḏa‘ שָׁ֑וְא the deceit šāw מְתֵי־ of men . mə·ṯê- וַיַּרְא־ If He sees way·yar- אָ֝֗וֶן iniquity , ’ā·wen וְלֹ֣א does He not wə·lō יִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ take note ? yiṯ·bō·w·nān Job 11:12 נָ֭בוּב But a witless nā·ḇūḇ וְאִ֣ישׁ man wə·’îš יִלָּבֵ֑ב can no more become wise yil·lā·ḇêḇ וְעַ֥יִר than the colt wə·‘a·yir פֶּ֝֗רֶא of a wild donkey pe·re יִוָּלֵֽד׃ can be born yiw·wā·lêḏ אָדָ֥ם a man ! ’ā·ḏām Job 11:13 אַ֭תָּ֗ה As for you , ʾat·tå̄h אִם־ if ’im- הֲכִינ֣וֹתָ you direct hă·ḵî·nō·w·ṯā לִבֶּ֑ךָ your heart lib·be·ḵā וּפָרַשְׂתָּ֖ and lift up ū·p̄ā·raś·tā כַּפֶּֽךָ׃ your hands kap·pe·ḵā אֵלָ֣יו to Him , ’ê·lāw Job 11:14 אִם־ if ’im- הַרְחִיקֵ֑הוּ you put away har·ḥî·qê·hū אָ֣וֶן the iniquity ’ā·wen בְּ֭יָדְךָ in your hand , bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā וְאַל־ and allow no wə·’al- עַוְלָֽה׃ injustice ‘aw·lāh תַּשְׁכֵּ֖ן to dwell taš·kên בְּאֹהָלֶ֣יךָ in your tents , bə·’ō·hā·le·ḵā Job 11:15 אָ֤ז׀ then ’āz כִּי־ indeed kî- תִּשָּׂ֣א you will lift up tiś·śā פָנֶ֣יךָ your face p̄ā·ne·ḵā מִמּ֑וּם without shame ; mim·mūm וְהָיִ֥יתָ you will wə·hā·yî·ṯā מֻ֝צָ֗ק stand firm mu·ṣāq וְלֹ֣א and unafraid wə·lō תִירָֽא׃ . . . . ṯî·rā Job 11:16 כִּי־ For kî- אַ֭תָּה you ’at·tāh תִּשְׁכָּ֑ח will forget tiš·kāḥ עָמָ֣ל [your] misery , ‘ā·māl תִזְכֹּֽר׃ recalling ṯiz·kōr כְּמַ֖יִם it only as waters kə·ma·yim עָבְר֣וּ gone by . ‘ā·ḇə·rū
