Job 9:8 לְבַדּ֑וֹ He alone lə·ḇad·dōw נֹטֶ֣ה stretches out nō·ṭeh שָׁמַ֣יִם the heavens šā·ma·yim וְ֝דוֹרֵ֗ךְ and treads wə·ḏō·w·rêḵ עַל־ on ‘al- בָּ֥מֳתֵי the waves bā·mo·ṯê יָֽם׃ of the sea . yām Job 9:9 עֹֽשֶׂה־ He is the Maker ‘ō·śeh- עָ֭שׁ of the Bear ‘āš כְּסִ֥יל [and] Orion , kə·sîl וְכִימָ֗ה of the Pleiades wə·ḵî·māh וְחַדְרֵ֥י and the constellations wə·ḥaḏ·rê תֵמָֽן׃ of the south . ṯê·mān Job 9:10 עֹשֶׂ֣ה He does ‘ō·śeh גְ֭דֹלוֹת great things ḡə·ḏō·lō·wṯ עַד־ beyond ‘aḏ- אֵ֣ין . . . ’ên חֵ֑קֶר searching out , ḥê·qer וְנִפְלָא֗וֹת and wonders wə·nip̄·lā·’ō·wṯ עַד־ . . . ‘aḏ- אֵ֥ין without ’ên מִסְפָּֽר׃ number . mis·pār Job 9:11 הֵ֤ן Were He hên יַעֲבֹ֣ר to pass ya·‘ă·ḇōr עָ֭לַי by me , ‘ā·lay וְלֹ֣א I would not wə·lō אֶרְאֶ֑ה see Him ; ’er·’eh וְ֝יַחֲלֹ֗ף were He to move , wə·ya·ḥă·lōp̄ וְֽלֹא־ I would not wə·lō- אָבִ֥ין recognize ’ā·ḇîn לֽוֹ׃ Him . lōw Job 9:12 הֵ֣ן If hên יַ֭חְתֹּף He takes away , yaḥ·tōp̄ מִ֣י who mî יְשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ can stop Him ? yə·šî·ḇen·nū מִֽי־ Who mî- יֹאמַ֥ר dares to ask yō·mar אֵ֝לָ֗יו Him , ’ê·lāw מַֽה־ ‘ What mah- תַּעֲשֶֽׂה׃ are You doing ? ’ ta·‘ă·śeh Job 9:13 אֱ֭לוֹהַּ God ’ĕ·lō·w·ah לֹא־ does not lō- יָשִׁ֣יב restrain yā·šîḇ אַפּ֑וֹ His anger ; ’ap·pōw עֹ֣זְרֵי the helpers ‘ō·zə·rê רָֽהַב׃ of Rahab rā·haḇ שָׁ֝חֲח֗וּ cower ḥă·ḥū תַּחַתוֹ beneath Him . ta·ḥa·ṯō Job 9:14 אַ֭ף How ’ap̄ כִּֽי־ then kî- אָנֹכִ֣י can I ’ā·nō·ḵî אֶֽעֱנֶ֑נּוּ answer Him ’e·‘ĕ·nen·nū אֶבְחֲרָ֖ה or choose ’eḇ·ḥă·rāh דְבָרַ֣י my arguments ḏə·ḇā·ray עִמּֽוֹ׃ against Him ? ‘im·mōw Job 9:15 אֲשֶׁ֣ר For ’ă·šer אִם־ even if ’im- צָ֭דַקְתִּי I were right , ṣā·ḏaq·tî לֹ֣א I could not lō אֶעֱנֶ֑ה answer . ’e·‘ĕ·neh לִ֝מְשֹׁפְטִ֗י I could only beg my Judge lim·šō·p̄ə·ṭî אֶתְחַנָּֽן׃ for mercy . ’eṯ·ḥan·nān Job 9:16 אִם־ If ’im- קָרָ֥אתִי I summoned Him qā·rā·ṯî וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֑נִי and He answered me , way·ya·‘ă·nê·nî לֹֽא־ I do not lō- אַ֝אֲמִ֗ין believe ’a·’ă·mîn כִּֽי־ - kî- יַאֲזִ֥ין He would listen ya·’ă·zîn קוֹלִֽי׃ to my voice . qō·w·lî
