Esther 9:21 לְקַיֵּם֮ to establish lə·qay·yêm עֲלֵיהֶם֒ among them ‘ă·lê·hem בְּכָל־ an annual bə·ḵāl שָׁנָ֖ה . . . šā·nāh וְשָׁנָֽה׃ . . . wə·šā·nāh לִהְי֣וֹת vvv lih·yō·wṯ עֹשִׂ֗ים celebration ‘ō·śîm אֵ֠ת - ’êṯ אַרְבָּעָ֤ה on the fourteenth ’ar·bā·‘āh עָשָׂר֙ . . . ‘ā·śār חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה and fifteenth ḥă·miš·šāh עָשָׂ֖ר . . . ‘ā·śār בּ֑וֹ bōw י֣וֹם days yō·wm לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ of the month lə·ḥō·ḏeš אֲדָ֔ר of Adar ’ă·ḏār וְאֵ֛ת - wə·’êṯ יוֹם־ - yō·wm- Esther 9:22 כַּיָּמִ֗ים as the days kay·yā·mîm אֲשֶׁר־ on which ’ă·šer- הַיְּהוּדִים֙ the Jews hay·yə·hū·ḏîm נָ֨חוּ gained rest nā·ḥū בָהֶ֤ם ḇā·hem מֵא֣וֹיְבֵיהֶ֔ם from their enemies mê·’ō·wy·ḇê·hem וְהַחֹ֗דֶשׁ and the month wə·ha·ḥō·ḏeš אֲשֶׁר֩ in which ’ă·šer מִיָּגוֹן֙ their sorrow mî·yā·ḡō·wn נֶהְפַּ֨ךְ turned neh·paḵ לָהֶ֤ם . . . lā·hem לְשִׂמְחָ֔ה to joy lə·śim·ḥāh וּמֵאֵ֖בֶל and their mourning ū·mê·’ê·ḇel לְי֣וֹם into a holiday lə·yō·wm ט֑וֹב . . . . ṭō·wḇ לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת [He wrote] that these were to be la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אוֹתָ֗ם - ’ō·w·ṯām יְמֵי֙ days yə·mê מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה of feasting miš·teh וְשִׂמְחָ֔ה and joy , wə·śim·ḥāh וּמִשְׁל֤וֹחַ of sending ū·miš·lō·w·aḥ מָנוֹת֙ gifts mā·nō·wṯ אִ֣ישׁ to one ’îš לְרֵעֵ֔הוּ another lə·rê·‘ê·hū וּמַתָּנ֖וֹת [and] ū·mat·tā·nō·wṯ לָֽאֶבְיוֹנִֽים׃ to the poor . lā·’eḇ·yō·w·nîm Esther 9:23 הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים So the Jews hay·yə·hū·ḏîm אֵ֥ת ’êṯ וְקִבֵּל֙ agreed to continue wə·qib·bêl לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת the custom la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- הֵחֵ֖לּוּ they had started , hê·ḥêl·lū וְאֵ֛ת wə·’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ as ’ă·šer- מָרְדֳּכַ֖י Mordecai mā·rə·do·ḵay כָּתַ֥ב had written kā·ṯaḇ אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ to them . ’ă·lê·hem Esther 9:24 כִּי֩ For kî הָמָ֨ן Haman hā·mān בֶּֽן־ son ben- הַמְּדָ֜תָא of Hammedatha , ham·mə·ḏā·ṯā הָֽאֲגָגִ֗י the Agagite , hā·’ă·ḡā·ḡî צֹרֵר֙ the enemy ṣō·rêr כָּל־ of all kāl- הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים the Jews , hay·yə·hū·ḏîm חָשַׁ֥ב had plotted ḥā·šaḇ עַל־ against ‘al- הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים the Jews hay·yə·hū·ḏîm לְאַבְּדָ֑ם to destroy them lə·’ab·bə·ḏām וְהִפִּ֥יל and had cast wə·hip·pîl פּוּר֙ the Pur pūr ה֣וּא (that is , hū הַגּוֹרָ֔ל the lot ) hag·gō·w·rāl לְהֻמָּ֖ם to crush lə·hum·mām וּֽלְאַבְּדָֽם׃ and destroy them . ū·lə·’ab·bə·ḏām Esther 9:25 וּבְבֹאָהּ֮ But when it came ū·ḇə·ḇō·’āh לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ the king , ham·me·leḵ אָמַ֣ר he commanded ’ā·mar עִם־ by ‘im- הַסֵּ֔פֶר letter has·sê·p̄er הָרָעָ֛ה that the wicked hā·rā·‘āh מַחֲשַׁבְתּ֧וֹ scheme ma·ḥă·šaḇ·tōw אֲשֶׁר־ which ’ă·šer- חָשַׁ֥ב Haman had devised ḥā·šaḇ עַל־ against ‘al- הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים the Jews hay·yə·hū·ḏîm יָשׁ֞וּב should come back yā·šūḇ
