הַפָּקִֽיד׃ under the direction hap·pā·qîḏ וְיִֽזְרַחְיָ֖ה of Jezrahiah . wə·yiz·raḥ·yāh Nehemiah 12:43 הַ֠הוּא On that ha·hū בַיּוֹם־ day ḇay·yō·wm- וַיִּזְבְּח֣וּ they offered way·yiz·bə·ḥū גְּדוֹלִ֜ים great gə·ḏō·w·lîm זְבָחִ֨ים sacrifices , zə·ḇā·ḥîm וַיִּשְׂמָ֗חוּ rejoicing way·yiś·mā·ḥū כִּ֤י because kî הָאֱלֹהִים֙ God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm גְדוֹלָ֔ה had given them great ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh שִׂמְּחָם֙ joy śim·mə·ḥām שִׂמְחָ֣ה . . . . śim·ḥāh הַנָּשִׁ֛ים The women han·nā·šîm וְהַיְלָדִ֖ים and children wə·hay·lā·ḏîm וְגַ֧ם also wə·ḡam שָׂמֵ֑חוּ rejoiced , śā·mê·ḥū שִׂמְחַ֥ת so that the joy śim·ḥaṯ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim וַתִּשָּׁמַ֛ע was heard wat·tiš·šā·ma‘ מֵרָחֽוֹק׃ from afar . mê·rā·ḥō·wq Nehemiah 12:44 הַה֨וּא And on that same ha·hū בַיּוֹם֩ day ḇay·yō·wm אֲנָשִׁ֜ים men ’ă·nā·šîm וַיִּפָּקְד֣וּ were appointed way·yip·pā·qə·ḏū עַל־ over ‘al- הַנְּשָׁכ֗וֹת the rooms han·nə·šā·ḵō·wṯ לָא֨וֹצָר֥וֹת that housed the supplies , lā·’ō·w·ṣā·rō·wṯ לַתְּרוּמוֹת֮ contributions , lat·tə·rū·mō·wṯ לָרֵאשִׁ֣ית firstfruits , lā·rê·šîṯ וְלַמַּֽעַשְׂרוֹת֒ and tithes . wə·lam·ma·‘aś·rō·wṯ מְנָא֣וֹת The portions [specified] by mə·nā·’ō·wṯ הַתּוֹרָ֔ה the Law hat·tō·w·rāh לַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים for the priests lak·kō·hă·nîm וְלַלְוִיִּ֑ם and Levites wə·lal·wî·yim לִכְנ֨וֹס were gathered liḵ·nō·ws בָּהֶ֜ם into [these storerooms] bā·hem לִשְׂדֵ֤י from the fields liś·ḏê הֶעָרִים֙ of the villages , he·‘ā·rîm כִּ֚י because kî יְהוּדָ֔ה Judah yə·hū·ḏāh שִׂמְחַ֣ת rejoiced śim·ḥaṯ עַל־ over ‘al- הַכֹּהֲנִ֥ים the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- הַלְוִיִּ֖ם and Levites hal·wî·yim הָעֹמְדִֽים׃ who were serving . hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm Nehemiah 12:45 וַֽיִּשְׁמְר֞וּ They performed way·yiš·mə·rū מִשְׁמֶ֤רֶת the service miš·me·reṯ אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם֙ of their God ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem וּמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת and the service ū·miš·me·reṯ הַֽטָּהֳרָ֔ה of purification , haṭ·ṭā·ho·rāh וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖ים along with the singers wə·ham·šō·rə·rîm וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִ֑ים and gatekeepers , wə·haš·šō·‘ă·rîm דָּוִ֖יד as David dā·wîḏ בְנֽוֹ׃ and his son ḇə·nōw שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה Solomon šə·lō·mōh כְּמִצְוַ֥ת had prescribed . kə·miṣ·waṯ Nehemiah 12:46 כִּֽי־ For kî- מִקֶּ֑דֶם long ago , miq·qe·ḏem בִימֵ֥י in the days ḇî·mê דָוִ֛יד of David ḏā·wîḏ וְאָסָ֖ף and Asaph , wə·’ā·sāp̄ רֹאשׁ there were directors rōš הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים for the singers ham·šō·rə·rîm וְשִׁיר־ and for the songs wə·šîr- תְּהִלָּ֥ה of praise tə·hil·lāh וְהֹד֖וֹת and thanksgiving wə·hō·ḏō·wṯ לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃ to God . lê·lō·hîm Nehemiah 12:47 בִּימֵ֨י So in the days bî·mê זְרֻבָּבֶ֜ל of Zerubbabel zə·rub·bā·ḇel וּבִימֵ֣י and ū·ḇî·mê נְחֶמְיָ֗ה Nehemiah , nə·ḥem·yāh וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵל֩ Israel yiś·rā·’êl נֹֽתְנִ֛ים contributed nō·ṯə·nîm מְנָי֛וֹת the daily portions mə·nā·yō·wṯ הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֥ים for the singers ham·šō·rə·rîm וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִ֖ים and gatekeepers . wə·haš·šō·‘ă·rîm וּמַקְדִּשִׁים֙ They also set aside ū·maq·di·šîm י֣וֹם daily yō·wm בְּיוֹמ֑וֹ . . . bə·yō·w·mōw דְּבַר־ portions də·ḇar- לַלְוִיִּ֔ם for the Levites , lal·wî·yim וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם and the Levites wə·hal·wî·yim
