לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃ led the procession . lip̄·nê·hem Nehemiah 12:37 וְעַל֩ At wə·‘al הָעַ֜יִן the Fountain hā·‘a·yin וְנֶגְדָּ֗ם . . . wə·neḡ·dām שַׁ֨עַר Gate ša·‘ar עָלוּ֙ they climbed ‘ā·lū עַֽל־ . . . ‘al- מַעֲלוֹת֙ the steps ma·‘ă·lō·wṯ עִ֣יר of the City ‘îr דָּוִ֔יד of David dā·wîḏ בַּֽמַּעֲלֶ֖ה on the ascent bam·ma·‘ă·leh לַחוֹמָ֑ה to the wall la·ḥō·w·māh מֵעַל֙ and passed above mê·‘al לְבֵ֣ית the house lə·ḇêṯ דָּוִ֔יד of David dā·wîḏ וְעַ֛ד to wə·‘aḏ הַמַּ֖יִם the Water ham·ma·yim שַׁ֥עַר Gate ša·‘ar מִזְרָֽח׃ on the east . miz·rāḥ Nehemiah 12:38 הַשֵּׁנִ֛ית The second haš·šê·nîṯ וְהַתּוֹדָ֧ה thanksgiving [choir] wə·hat·tō·w·ḏāh הַהוֹלֶ֥כֶת proceeded ha·hō·w·le·ḵeṯ לְמ֖וֹאל to the left , lə·mō·wl וַאֲנִ֣י and I wa·’ă·nî אַחֲרֶ֑יהָ followed ’a·ḥă·re·hā וַחֲצִ֨י it with half wa·ḥă·ṣî הָעָ֜ם the people hā·‘ām מֵעַ֣ל along the top mê·‘al לְהַחוֹמָ֗ה of the wall , lə·ha·ḥō·w·māh מֵעַל֙ past mê·‘al לְמִגְדַּ֣ל the Tower lə·miḡ·dal הַתַּנּוּרִ֔ים of the Ovens hat·tan·nū·rîm וְעַ֖ד to wə·‘aḏ הָרְחָבָֽה׃ the Broad hā·rə·ḥā·ḇāh הַחוֹמָ֥ה Wall , ha·ḥō·w·māh Nehemiah 12:39 וּמֵעַ֣ל over ū·mê·‘al לְשַֽׁעַר־ the Gate lə·ša·‘ar- אֶ֠פְרַיִם of Ephraim , ’ep̄·ra·yim וְעַל־ - wə·‘al- הַיְשָׁנָ֜ה the Jeshanah hay·šā·nāh שַׁ֨עַר Gate , ša·‘ar וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- הַדָּגִ֗ים the Fish had·dā·ḡîm שַׁ֣עַר Gate , ša·‘ar וּמִגְדַּ֤ל the Tower ū·miḡ·dal חֲנַנְאֵל֙ of Hananel , ḥă·nan·’êl וּמִגְדַּ֣ל and the Tower ū·miḡ·dal הַמֵּאָ֔ה of the Hundred , ham·mê·’āh וְעַ֖ד as far wə·‘aḏ הַצֹּ֑אן as the Sheep haṣ·ṣōn שַׁ֣עַר Gate . ša·‘ar וְעָ֣מְד֔וּ And they stopped wə·‘ā·mə·ḏū בְּשַׁ֖עַר at the Gate bə·ša·‘ar הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃ of the Guard . ham·maṭ·ṭā·rāh Nehemiah 12:40 שְׁתֵּ֥י The two šə·tê הַתּוֹדֹ֖ת thanksgiving [choirs] hat·tō·w·ḏōṯ וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֛דְנָה then stood wat·ta·‘ă·mō·ḏə·nāh בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bə·ḇêṯ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God , hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וַאֲנִ֕י as did I , wa·’ă·nî וַחֲצִ֥י along with the half wa·ḥă·ṣî הַסְּגָנִ֖ים of the officials has·sə·ḡā·nîm עִמִּֽי׃ accompanying me , ‘im·mî Nehemiah 12:41 וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֡ים as well as the priests wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm בַּחֲצֹצְרֽוֹת׃ with their trumpets — ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ אֶלְיָקִ֡ים Eliakim , ’el·yā·qîm מַעֲשֵׂיָ֡ה Maaseiah , ma·‘ă·śê·yāh מִ֠נְיָמִין Miniamin , min·yā·mîn מִיכָיָ֧ה Micaiah , mî·ḵā·yāh אֶלְיוֹעֵינַ֛י Elioenai , ’el·yō·w·‘ê·nay זְכַרְיָ֥ה Zechariah , zə·ḵar·yāh חֲנַנְיָ֖ה and Hananiah — ḥă·nan·yāh Nehemiah 12:42 וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֨ה and also Maaseiah , ū·ma·‘ă·śê·yāh וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֜ה Shemaiah , ū·šə·ma‘·yāh וְאֶלְעָזָ֧ר Eleazar , wə·’el·‘ā·zār וְעֻזִּ֛י Uzzi , wə·‘uz·zî וִֽיהוֹחָנָ֥ן Jehohanan , wî·hō·w·ḥā·nān וּמַלְכִּיָּ֖ה Malchijah , ū·mal·kî·yāh וְעֵילָ֣ם Elam , wə·‘ê·lām וָעָ֑זֶר and Ezer . wā·‘ā·zer הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים Then the choirs ham·šō·rə·rîm וַיַּשְׁמִ֙יעוּ֙ sang out way·yaš·mî·‘ū
