וְעַזְמָ֑וֶת and Azmaveth , wə·‘az·mā·weṯ כִּ֣י for kî הַמְשֹׁ֣רֲרִ֔ים [they] ham·šō·ră·rîm בָּנ֤וּ had built bā·nū חֲצֵרִ֗ים villages ḥă·ṣê·rîm לָהֶם֙ for themselves lā·hem סְבִיב֖וֹת around sə·ḇî·ḇō·wṯ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Nehemiah 12:30 הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים After the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm וְהַלְוִיִּ֑ם and Levites wə·hal·wî·yim וַיִּֽטַּהֲר֔וּ had purified themselves , way·yiṭ·ṭa·hă·rū וַֽיְטַהֲרוּ֙ they purified way·ṭa·hă·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעָ֔ם the people , hā·‘ām וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַשְּׁעָרִ֖ים the gates , haš·šə·‘ā·rîm וְאֶֽת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַחוֹמָֽה׃ and the wall . ha·ḥō·w·māh Nehemiah 12:31 שָׂרֵ֣י Then I brought the leaders śā·rê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וָאַעֲלֶה֙ up wā·’a·‘ă·leh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מֵעַ֖ל on mê·‘al לַחוֹמָ֑ה the wall , la·ḥō·w·māh וָאַעֲמִ֡ידָה and I appointed wā·’a·‘ă·mî·ḏāh שְׁתֵּ֣י two šə·tê גְּדוֹלֹ֨ת great gə·ḏō·w·lōṯ תוֹדֹת֩ thanksgiving [choirs] . ṯō·w·ḏōṯ וְתַהֲלֻכֹ֤ת One was to proceed wə·ṯa·hă·lu·ḵōṯ מֵעַ֣ל along the top mê·‘al לַחוֹמָ֔ה of the wall la·ḥō·w·māh לַיָּמִין֙ to the right , lay·yā·mîn הָאַשְׁפֹּֽת׃ toward the Dung hā·’aš·pōṯ לְשַׁ֖עַר Gate . lə·ša·‘ar Nehemiah 12:32 הוֹשַׁ֣עְיָ֔ה Hoshaiah hō·wō·ša‘·yāh וַחֲצִ֖י and half wa·ḥă·ṣî שָׂרֵ֥י the leaders śā·rê יְהוּדָֽה׃ of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ followed way·yê·leḵ אַחֲרֵיהֶם֙ . . . , ’a·ḥă·rê·hem Nehemiah 12:33 וַעֲזַרְיָ֥ה along with Azariah , wa·‘ă·zar·yāh עֶזְרָ֖א Ezra , ‘ez·rā וּמְשֻׁלָּֽם׃ Meshullam , ū·mə·šul·lām Nehemiah 12:34 יְהוּדָה֙ Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh וּבִנְיָמִ֔ן Benjamin , ū·ḇin·yā·min וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֖ה Shemaiah , ū·šə·ma‘·yāh וְיִרְמְיָֽה׃ס Jeremiah , wə·yir·mə·yāh Nehemiah 12:35 הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים and some of the priests hak·kō·hă·nîm וּמִבְּנֵ֥י . . . ū·mib·bə·nê בַּחֲצֹצְר֑וֹת with trumpets , ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ זְכַרְיָ֨ה and also Zechariah zə·ḵar·yāh בֶן־ son ḇen- יֽוֹנָתָ֜ן of Jonathan , yō·w·nā·ṯān בֶּן־ the son ben- שְׁמַֽעְיָ֗ה of Shemaiah , šə·ma‘·yāh בֶּן־ the son ben- מַתַּנְיָה֙ of Mattaniah , mat·tan·yāh בֶּן־ the son ben- מִ֣יכָיָ֔ה of Micaiah , mî·ḵā·yāh בֶּן־ the son ben- זַכּ֖וּר of Zaccur , zak·kūr בֶּן־ the son ben- אָסָֽף׃ of Asaph , ’ā·sāp̄ Nehemiah 12:36 וְֽאֶחָ֡יו and his associates — wə·’e·ḥāw שְֽׁמַעְיָ֡ה Shemaiah , šə·ma‘·yāh וַעֲזַרְאֵ֡ל Azarel , wa·‘ă·zar·’êl מִֽלֲלַ֡י Milalai , mi·lă·lay גִּֽלֲלַ֡י Gilalai , gi·lă·lay מָעַ֞י Maai , mā·‘ay נְתַנְאֵ֤ל Nethanel , nə·ṯan·’êl וִֽיהוּדָה֙ Judah , wî·hū·ḏāh חֲנָ֔נִי and Hanani — ḥă·nā·nî שִׁ֥יר with the musical šîr בִּכְלֵי־ instruments biḵ·lê- דָּוִ֖יד [prescribed by] David dā·wîḏ אִ֣ישׁ the man ’îš הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים of God . hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וְעֶזְרָ֥א Ezra wə·‘ez·rā הַסּוֹפֵ֖ר the scribe has·sō·w·p̄êr
