צָֽרָתָם֙of distressṣā·rā·ṯām
יִצְעֲק֣וּthey cried outyiṣ·‘ă·qū
אֵלֶ֔יךָto You .’ê·le·ḵā
מִשָּׁמַ֣יִםFrom heavenmiš·šā·ma·yim
וְאַתָּה֙Youwə·’at·tāh
תִּשְׁמָ֔ע heard them , tiš·mā‘
הָֽרַבִּ֗יםand in Your greathā·rab·bîm
וּֽכְרַחֲמֶ֣יךָcompassionū·ḵə·ra·ḥă·me·ḵā
תִּתֵּ֤ןYou gavetit·tên
לָהֶם֙themlā·hem
מֽוֹשִׁיעִ֔יםdeliverersmō·wō·šî·‘îm
וְיוֹשִׁיע֖וּםwho saved themwə·yō·wō·šî·‘ūm
מִיַּ֥דfrom the handsmî·yaḏ
צָרֵיהֶֽם׃of their enemies .ṣā·rê·hem

וַיָּשׁ֙וּבוּ֙ to You again , way·yā·šū·ḇū
וְאַתָּ֞הYouwə·’at·tāh
תִּשְׁמַ֛עheardtiš·ma‘
מִשָּׁמַ֧יִם from heaven , miš·šā·ma·yim
וְתַצִּילֵ֥םand You delivered themwə·ṯaṣ·ṣî·lêm
רַבּ֥וֹתmanyrab·bō·wṯ
עִתִּֽים׃times‘it·tîm
כְּֽרַחֲמֶ֖יךָin Your compassion .kə·ra·ḥă·me·ḵā

הֵזִ֜ידוּwere arroganthê·zî·ḏū
וְלֹא־vvvwə·lō-
שָׁמְע֤וּand disobeyedšā·mə·‘ū
לְמִצְוֺתֶ֙יךָ֙Your commandments .lə·miṣ·wō·ṯe·ḵā
חָֽטְאוּ־They sinnedḥā·ṭə·’ū-
בָ֔םagainstḇām
וּבְמִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ Your ordinances , ū·ḇə·miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā
אָדָ֖םby which a man’ā·ḏām
בָהֶ֑םḇā·hem
וְחָיָ֣הwill livewə·ḥā·yāh
יַעֲשֶׂ֥הif he practicesya·‘ă·śeh
אֲשֶׁר־them .’ă·šer-
סוֹרֶ֔רֶתThey stubbornlysō·w·re·reṯ
וַיִּתְּנ֤וּshruggedway·yit·tə·nū
כָתֵף֙their shoulders ;ḵā·ṯêp̄
הִקְשׁ֖וּthey stiffenedhiq·šū
וְעָרְפָּ֥םtheir neckswə·‘ā·rə·pām
וְלֹ֥אand would notwə·lō
שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃obey .šā·mê·‘ū
