בְּיַ֖ד into the hands bə·yaḏ עַמֵּ֥י of the neighboring peoples ‘am·mê הָאֲרָצֹֽת׃ . . . . hā·’ă·rā·ṣōṯ Nehemiah 9:31 הָרַבִּ֛ים But in Your great hā·rab·bîm וּֽבְרַחֲמֶ֧יךָ compassion , ū·ḇə·ra·ḥă·me·ḵā לֹֽא־ You did not lō- עֲשִׂיתָ֥ם put an end to them ‘ă·śî·ṯām כָּלָ֖ה . . . ; kā·lāh וְלֹ֣א nor wə·lō עֲזַבְתָּ֑ם did You forsake them , ‘ă·zaḇ·tām כִּ֛י for kî אָֽתָּה׃ You ’āt·tāh חַנּ֥וּן are a gracious ḥan·nūn וְרַח֖וּם and compassionate wə·ra·ḥūm אֵֽל־ God . ’êl- Nehemiah 9:32 וְעַתָּ֣ה So now , wə·‘at·tāh אֱ֠לֹהֵינוּ our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū הַגָּד֜וֹל the great hag·gā·ḏō·wl הַגִּבּ֣וֹר and mighty hag·gib·bō·wr וְהַנּוֹרָא֮ and awesome wə·han·nō·w·rā הָאֵ֨ל God hā·’êl שׁוֹמֵ֣ר who keeps šō·w·mêr וְהַחֶסֶד֒ His gracious wə·ha·ḥe·seḏ הַבְּרִ֣ית covenant , hab·bə·rîṯ אַל־ do not ’al- יִמְעַ֣ט view lightly yim·‘aṭ לְפָנֶ֡יךָ . . . lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הַתְּלָאָ֣ה the hardship hat·tə·lā·’āh אֲֽשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- מְ֠צָאַתְנוּ has come upon us , mə·ṣā·’aṯ·nū לִמְלָכֵ֨ינוּ and upon our kings lim·lā·ḵê·nū לְשָׂרֵ֧ינוּ and leaders , lə·śā·rê·nū וּלְכֹהֲנֵ֛ינוּ our priests ū·lə·ḵō·hă·nê·nū וְלִנְבִיאֵ֥נוּ and prophets , wə·lin·ḇî·’ê·nū וְלַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ our ancestors wə·la·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū וּלְכָל־ and all ū·lə·ḵāl- עַמֶּ֑ךָ Your people , ‘am·me·ḵā מִימֵי֙ from the days mî·mê מַלְכֵ֣י of the kings mal·ḵê אַשּׁ֔וּר of Assyria ’aš·šūr עַ֖ד until today ‘aḏ הַיּ֥וֹם . . . hay·yō·wm הַזֶּֽה׃ . . . . haz·zeh Nehemiah 9:33 וְאַתָּ֣ה You wə·’at·tāh צַדִּ֔יק are just ṣad·dîq עַ֖ל in ‘al כָּל־ all kāl- הַבָּ֣א that has befallen hab·bā עָלֵ֑ינוּ us , ‘ā·lê·nū כִּֽי־ because kî- עָשִׂ֖יתָ You have acted ‘ā·śî·ṯā אֱמֶ֥ת faithfully , ’ĕ·meṯ וַאֲנַ֥חְנוּ while we wa·’ă·naḥ·nū הִרְשָֽׁעְנוּ׃ have acted wickedly . hir·šā·‘ə·nū Nehemiah 9:34 וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- מְלָכֵ֤ינוּ Our kings mə·lā·ḵê·nū שָׂרֵ֙ינוּ֙ and leaders śā·rê·nū כֹּהֲנֵ֣ינוּ and priests kō·hă·nê·nū וַאֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ and fathers wa·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū לֹ֥א did not lō עָשׂ֖וּ obey ‘ā·śū תּוֹרָתֶ֑ךָ Your law tō·w·rā·ṯe·ḵā וְלֹ֤א . . . wə·lō הִקְשִׁ֙יבוּ֙ or listen hiq·šî·ḇū אֶל־ to ’el- מִצְוֺתֶ֔יךָ Your commandments miṣ·wō·ṯe·ḵā וּלְעֵ֣דְוֺתֶ֔יךָ and warnings ū·lə·‘ê·ḏə·wō·ṯe·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer הַעִידֹ֖תָ You gave ha·‘î·ḏō·ṯā בָּהֶֽם׃ them . bā·hem Nehemiah 9:35 וְהֵ֣ם For even while wə·hêm בְּמַלְכוּתָם֩ they were in their kingdom , bə·mal·ḵū·ṯām הָרָ֜ב with the abundant hā·rāḇ וּבְטוּבְךָ֨ goodness ū·ḇə·ṭū·ḇə·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נָתַ֣תָּ You had given nā·ṯa·tā לָהֶ֗ם them , lā·hem הָרְחָבָ֧ה and in the spacious hā·rə·ḥā·ḇāh וְהַשְּׁמֵנָ֛ה and fertile wə·haš·šə·mê·nāh וּבְאֶ֨רֶץ land ū·ḇə·’e·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- נָתַ֥תָּ You had set nā·ṯa·tā לִפְנֵיהֶ֖ם before them , lip̄·nê·hem
