וְהַיְּהוּדִ֨ים Jews wə·hay·yə·hū·ḏîm וְהַסְּגָנִ֜ים and officials wə·has·sə·ḡā·nîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- עַל־ at ‘al- שֻׁלְחָנִֽי׃ my table , šul·ḥā·nî וְהַבָּאִ֥ים besides the guests wə·hab·bā·’îm אֵלֵ֛ינוּ . . . ’ê·lê·nū מִן־ from min- סְבִיבֹתֵ֖ינוּ the surrounding sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯê·nū הַגּוֹיִ֥ם nations . hag·gō·w·yim Nehemiah 5:18 וַאֲשֶׁר֩ - wa·’ă·šer הָיָ֨ה - hā·yāh נַעֲשֶׂ֜ה na·‘ă·śeh אֶחָ֗ד Each ’e·ḥāḏ לְי֣וֹם day lə·yō·wm אֶחָ֞ד one ’e·ḥāḏ שׁ֣וֹר ox , šō·wr שֵׁשׁ־ six šêš- בְּרֻר֤וֹת choice bə·ru·rō·wṯ צֹ֠אן sheep , ṣōn וְצִפֳּרִים֙ and some fowl wə·ṣip·po·rîm נַֽעֲשׂוּ־ were prepared na·‘ă·śū- לִ֔י for me , lî וּבֵ֨ין and once every ū·ḇên עֲשֶׂ֧רֶת ten ‘ă·śe·reṯ יָמִ֛ים days yā·mîm לְהַרְבֵּ֑ה an abundance lə·har·bêh וְעִם־ . . . wə·‘im- זֶ֗ה zeh בְּכָל־ of all kinds bə·ḵāl יַ֖יִן of wine [was provided] . ya·yin לֹ֣א But I did not lō בִקַּ֔שְׁתִּי demand ḇiq·qaš·tî לֶ֤חֶם the food le·ḥem הַפֶּחָה֙ allotted to the governor , hap·pe·ḥāh כִּֽי־ because kî- הָעֲבֹדָ֖ה the burden hā·‘ă·ḇō·ḏāh עַל־ on ‘al- הָעָ֥ם the people hā·‘ām הַזֶּֽה׃ . . . haz·zeh כָֽבְדָ֥ה was so heavy . ḵā·ḇə·ḏāh Nehemiah 5:19 זָכְרָה־ Remember zā·ḵə·rāh- לִּ֥י me lî לְטוֹבָ֑ה favorably , lə·ṭō·w·ḇāh אֱלֹהַ֖י O my God , ’ĕ·lō·hay כֹּ֥ל for all kōl אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- עָשִׂ֖יתִי I have done ‘ā·śî·ṯî עַל־ for ‘al- הַזֶּֽה׃פ this haz·zeh הָעָ֥ם people . hā·‘ām Nehemiah 6:1 וַיְהִ֣י - way·hî כַאֲשֶׁ֣ר When ḵa·’ă·šer לְסַנְבַלַּ֣ט Sanballat , lə·san·ḇal·laṭ וְ֠טוֹבִיָּה Tobiah , wə·ṭō·w·ḇî·yāh וּלְגֶ֨שֶׁם Geshem ū·lə·ḡe·šem הָֽעַרְבִ֜י the Arab , hā·‘ar·ḇî וּלְיֶ֣תֶר and the rest ū·lə·ye·ṯer אֹֽיְבֵ֗ינוּ of our enemies ’ō·yə·ḇê·nū נִשְׁמַ֣ע heard niš·ma‘ כִּ֤י that kî בָנִ֙יתִי֙ I had rebuilt ḇā·nî·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַ֣חוֹמָ֔ה the wall ha·ḥō·w·māh וְלֹא־ and not wə·lō- פָּ֑רֶץ a gap pā·reṣ נ֥וֹתַר was left nō·w·ṯar בָּ֖הּ — bāh גַּ֚ם though gam עַד־ to ‘aḏ- הַהִ֔יא that ha·hî הָעֵ֣ת time hā·‘êṯ לֹא־ I had not yet lō- הֶעֱמַ֥דְתִּי installed he·‘ĕ·maḏ·tî דְּלָת֖וֹת the doors də·lā·ṯō·wṯ בַשְּׁעָרִֽים׃ in the gates — ḇaš·šə·‘ā·rîm Nehemiah 6:2 סַנְבַלַּ֤ט Sanballat san·ḇal·laṭ וְגֶ֙שֶׁם֙ and Geshem wə·ḡe·šem אֵלַ֣י . . . ’ê·lay וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח sent me way·yiš·laḥ לֵאמֹ֔ר this message : lê·mōr לְכָ֞ה “ Come , lə·ḵāh וְנִֽוָּעֲדָ֥ה let us meet wə·niw·wā·‘ă·ḏāh יַחְדָּ֛ו together yaḥ·dāw בַּכְּפִירִ֖ים in [one of] the villages bak·kə·p̄î·rîm בְּבִקְעַ֣ת on the plain bə·ḇiq·‘aṯ אוֹנ֑וֹ of Ono . ” ’ō·w·nōw וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ But they wə·hêm·māh
