יָקִ֜ים keep yā·qîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֗ה this haz·zeh הַדָּבָ֣ר promise . had·dā·ḇār יִהְיֶ֥ה May [such a man] be yih·yeh נָע֖וּר shaken out nā·‘ūr וָרֵ֑ק and have nothing ! ” wā·rêq כָֽל־ The whole ḵāl הַקָּהָ֜ל assembly haq·qā·hāl וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ said , way·yō·mə·rū אָמֵ֗ן “ Amen , ” ’ā·mên וַֽיְהַלְלוּ֙ and they praised way·hal·lū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH . Yah·weh הָעָ֖ם And the people hā·‘ām וַיַּ֥עַשׂ did way·ya·‘aś כַּדָּבָ֥ר as they had promised . kad·dā·ḇār הַזֶּֽה׃ . . . haz·zeh Nehemiah 5:14 גַּ֞ם Furthermore , gam מִיּ֣וֹם׀ from the day mî·yō·wm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ King ham·me·leḵ לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֣סְתְּא Artaxerxes lə·’ar·taḥ·šast צִוָּ֣ה appointed me ṣiw·wāh אֹתִ֗י - ’ō·ṯî לִהְי֣וֹת to be lih·yō·wṯ פֶּחָם֮ their governor pe·ḥām בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ יְהוּדָה֒ of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh עֶשְׂרִ֗ים from his twentieth ‘eś·rîm מִשְּׁנַ֣ת year miš·šə·naṯ וְ֠עַד until wə·‘aḏ שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים his thirty-second šə·lō·šîm וּשְׁתַּ֙יִם֙ . . . ū·šə·ta·yim שְׁנַ֨ת year šə·naṯ שְׁתֵּ֣ים ( twelve šə·têm עֶשְׂרֵ֑ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנִ֖ים years total ), šā·nîm אֲנִ֣י neither I ’ă·nî וְאַחַ֔י nor my brothers wə·’a·ḥay לֹ֥א . . . lō אָכַֽלְתִּי׃ ate ’ā·ḵal·tî לֶ֥חֶם the food le·ḥem הַפֶּ֖חָה allotted to the governor . hap·pe·ḥāh Nehemiah 5:15 וְהַפַּחוֹת֩ The governors wə·hap·pa·ḥō·wṯ הָרִאשֹׁנִ֨ים . . . hā·ri·šō·nîm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- לְפָנַ֜י before me lə·p̄ā·nay הִכְבִּ֣ידוּ had heavily burdened hiḵ·bî·ḏū עַל־ . . . ‘al- הָעָ֗ם the people , hā·‘ām וַיִּקְח֨וּ taking way·yiq·ḥū מֵהֶ֜ם from them mê·hem בְּלֶ֤חֶם bread bə·le·ḥem וָיַ֙יִן֙ and wine wā·ya·yin אַחַר֙ plus ’a·ḥar אַרְבָּעִ֔ים forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שְׁקָלִ֣ים shekels šə·qā·lîm כֶּֽסֶף־ of silver . ke·sep̄- נַעֲרֵיהֶ֖ם Their servants na·‘ă·rê·hem גַּ֥ם also gam שָׁלְט֣וּ oppressed šā·lə·ṭū עַל־ . . . ‘al- הָעָ֑ם the people , hā·‘ām וַאֲנִי֙ but I wa·’ă·nî לֹא־ did not lō- עָשִׂ֣יתִי do ‘ā·śî·ṯî כֵ֔ן this ḵên מִפְּנֵ֖י because mip·pə·nê יִרְאַ֥ת of my fear yir·’aṯ אֱלֹהִֽים׃ of God . ’ĕ·lō·hîm Nehemiah 5:16 וְ֠גַם Instead , wə·ḡam הֶחֱזַ֔קְתִּי I devoted myself he·ḥĕ·zaq·tî בִּמְלֶ֜אכֶת to the construction bim·le·ḵeṯ הַזֹּאת֙ of the haz·zōṯ הַחוֹמָ֤ה wall , ha·ḥō·w·māh וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl נְעָרַ֔י my servants nə·‘ā·ray קְבוּצִ֥ים were gathered qə·ḇū·ṣîm שָׁ֖ם there šām עַל־ for ‘al- הַמְּלָאכָֽה׃ the work ; ham·mə·lā·ḵāh לֹ֣א we did not lō קָנִ֑ינוּ acquire qā·nî·nū וְשָׂדֶ֖ה any land . wə·śā·ḏeh Nehemiah 5:17 מֵאָ֧ה There were 150 mê·’āh וַחֲמִשִּׁ֣ים . . . wa·ḥă·miš·šîm אִ֗ישׁ . . . ’îš
