בְּיָדֵֽנוּ׃ with us . bə·yā·ḏê·nū Genesis 43:22 הוֹרַ֥דְנוּ We have brought hō·w·raḏ·nū אַחֵ֛ר additional ’a·ḥêr וְכֶ֧סֶף silver wə·ḵe·sep̄ בְיָדֵ֖נוּ with us ḇə·yā·ḏê·nū לִשְׁבָּר־ to buy liš·bār- אֹ֑כֶל food . ’ō·ḵel לֹ֣א We do not lō יָדַ֔עְנוּ know yā·ḏa‘·nū מִי־ who mî- שָׂ֥ם put śām כַּסְפֵּ֖נוּ our silver kas·pê·nū בְּאַמְתְּחֹתֵֽינוּ׃ in our sacks . ” bə·’am·tə·ḥō·ṯê·nū Genesis 43:23 שָׁל֨וֹם “ It is fine šā·lō·wm לָכֶ֜ם . . . , ” lā·ḵem וַיֹּאמֶר֩ said the steward . way·yō·mer אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֗אוּ be afraid . tî·rā·’ū אֱלֹ֨הֵיכֶ֜ם Your God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem וֵֽאלֹהֵ֤י the God wê·lō·hê אֲבִיכֶם֙ of your father , ’ă·ḇî·ḵem נָתַ֨ן gave nā·ṯan לָכֶ֤ם you lā·ḵem מַטְמוֹן֙ the treasure maṭ·mō·wn בְּאַמְתְּחֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם [that was] in your sacks . bə·’am·tə·ḥō·ṯê·ḵem בָּ֣א I received bā אֵלָ֑י . . . ’ê·lāy כַּסְפְּכֶ֖ם your silver . ” kas·pə·ḵem שִׁמְעֽוֹן׃ Then he brought Simeon šim·‘ō·wn וַיּוֹצֵ֥א out way·yō·w·ṣê אֲלֵהֶ֖ם to them ’ă·lê·hem אֶת־ - . ’eṯ- Genesis 43:24 הָאִ֛ישׁ And the [steward] hā·’îš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיָּבֵ֥א took way·yā·ḇê הָאֲנָשִׁ֖ים the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm יוֹסֵ֑ף into Joseph’s yō·w·sêp̄ בֵּ֣יתָה house , bê·ṯāh וַיִּתֶּן־ gave them way·yit·ten- מַ֙יִם֙ water ma·yim וַיִּרְחֲצ֣וּ to wash way·yir·ḥă·ṣū רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם their feet , raḡ·lê·hem וַיִּתֵּ֥ן and provided way·yit·tên מִסְפּ֖וֹא food mis·pō·w לַחֲמֹֽרֵיהֶֽם׃ for their donkeys . la·ḥă·mō·rê·hem Genesis 43:25 כִּ֣י Since kî שָֽׁמְע֔וּ [the brothers] had been told šā·mə·‘ū כִּי־ that kî- יֹ֥אכְלוּ they were going to eat yō·ḵə·lū לָֽחֶם׃ a meal lā·ḥem שָׁ֖ם there , šām וַיָּכִ֙ינוּ֙ they prepared way·yā·ḵî·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמִּנְחָ֔ה their gift ham·min·ḥāh עַד־ for ‘aḏ- יוֹסֵ֖ף Joseph’s yō·w·sêp̄ בּ֥וֹא arrival bō·w בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם at noon . baṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim Genesis 43:26 יוֹסֵף֙ When Joseph yō·w·sêp̄ וַיָּבֹ֤א came way·yā·ḇō הַבַּ֔יְתָה home , hab·bay·ṯāh וַיָּבִ֥יאּוּ they presented way·yā·ḇî’·’ū ל֛וֹ . . . lōw אֶת־ him ’eṯ- הַמִּנְחָ֥ה with the gifts ham·min·ḥāh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- בְּיָדָ֖ם they had brought bə·yā·ḏām הַבָּ֑יְתָה . . . , hab·bā·yə·ṯāh וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ־ and they bowed way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū- ל֖וֹ . . . lōw אָֽרְצָה׃ to the ground before him . ’ā·rə·ṣāh Genesis 43:27 וַיִּשְׁאַ֤ל He asked way·yiš·’al לָהֶם֙ . . . lā·hem לְשָׁל֔וֹם if they were well , lə·šā·lō·wm וַיֹּ֗אמֶר and then he asked , way·yō·mer הֲשָׁל֛וֹם “ vvv hă·šā·lō·wm הַזָּקֵ֖ן How is your elderly haz·zā·qên אֲבִיכֶ֥ם father ’ă·ḇî·ḵem אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer אֲמַרְתֶּ֑ם you told [me about] ? ’ă·mar·tem הַעוֹדֶ֖נּוּ Is he still ha·‘ō·w·ḏen·nū חָֽי׃ alive ? ” ḥāy
