וְהַנּוֹלָ֤ד and their children , wə·han·nō·w·lāḏ מֵהֶם֙ . . . mê·hem בַּעֲצַ֣ת according to the counsel ba·‘ă·ṣaṯ אֲדֹנָ֔י of my lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy וְהַחֲרֵדִ֖ים and of those who tremble wə·ha·ḥă·rê·ḏîm בְּמִצְוַ֣ת at the command bə·miṣ·waṯ אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ of our God . ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū יֵעָשֶֽׂה׃ Let it be done yê·‘ā·śeh וְכַתּוֹרָ֖ה according to the Law . wə·ḵat·tō·w·rāh Ezra 10:4 ק֛וּם Get up , qūm כִּֽי־ for kî- הַדָּבָ֖ר [this] matter [is] had·dā·ḇār עָלֶ֥יךָ your [responsibility] , ‘ā·le·ḵā וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ and we wa·’ă·naḥ·nū עִמָּ֑ךְ will support you . ‘im·māḵ חֲזַ֖ק Be strong ḥă·zaq וַעֲשֵֽׂה׃פ and take action ! ” wa·‘ă·śêh Ezra 10:5 עֶזְרָ֡א So Ezra ‘ez·rā וַיָּ֣קָם got up way·yā·qām שָׂרֵי֩ and made the leading śā·rê הַכֹּהֲנִ֨ים priests , hak·kō·hă·nîm הַלְוִיִּ֜ם Levites , hal·wî·yim וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl וַיַּשְׁבַּ֣ע take an oath way·yaš·ba‘ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לַעֲשׂ֛וֹת to do what had been said la·‘ă·śō·wṯ כַּדָּבָ֥ר . . . kad·dā·ḇār הַזֶּ֖ה . . . . haz·zeh וַיִּשָּׁבֵֽעוּ׃ And they took the oath . way·yiš·šā·ḇê·‘ū Ezra 10:6 עֶזְרָ֗א Then Ezra ‘ez·rā וַיָּ֣קָם withdrew way·yā·qām מִלִּפְנֵי֙ from before mil·lip̄·nê בֵּ֣ית the house bêṯ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים of God hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיֵּ֕לֶךְ and walked way·yê·leḵ אֶל־ to ’el- לִשְׁכַּ֖ת the chamber liš·kaṯ יְהוֹחָנָ֣ן of Jehohanan yə·hō·w·ḥā·nān בֶּן־ son ben- אֶלְיָשִׁ֑יב of Eliashib . ’el·yā·šîḇ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ And while he stayed way·yê·leḵ שָׁ֗ם there , šām אָכַל֙ he ate ’ā·ḵal לֹֽא־ no lō- לֶ֤חֶם food le·ḥem שָׁתָ֔ה and drank šā·ṯāh לֹֽא־ no lō- וּמַ֣יִם water , ū·ma·yim כִּ֥י because kî מִתְאַבֵּ֖ל he was mourning miṯ·’ab·bêl עַל־ over ‘al- מַ֥עַל the unfaithfulness ma·‘al הַגּוֹלָֽה׃ס of the exiles . hag·gō·w·lāh Ezra 10:7 ק֜וֹל And a proclamation qō·wl וַיַּעֲבִ֨ירוּ was issued way·ya·‘ă·ḇî·rū בִּיהוּדָ֣ה throughout Judah bî·hū·ḏāh וִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֗ם and Jerusalem wî·rū·šā·lim לְכֹל֙ that all lə·ḵōl בְּנֵ֣י the exiles bə·nê הַגּוֹלָ֔ה . . . hag·gō·w·lāh לְהִקָּבֵ֖ץ should gather lə·hiq·qā·ḇêṣ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ at Jerusalem . yə·rū·šā·lim Ezra 10:8 וְכֹל֩ Whoever wə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ failed lō- יָב֜וֹא to appear yā·ḇō·w לִשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת within three liš·lō·šeṯ הַיָּמִ֗ים days hay·yā·mîm יָחֳרַ֖ם would forfeit yā·ḥo·ram כָּל־ all kāl- רְכוּשׁ֑וֹ his property , rə·ḵū·šōw וְה֥וּא . . . wə·hū כַּעֲצַ֤ת according to the counsel ka·‘ă·ṣaṯ הַשָּׂרִים֙ of the leaders haś·śā·rîm וְהַזְּקֵנִ֔ים and elders , wə·haz·zə·qê·nîm יִבָּדֵ֖ל and would himself be expelled yib·bā·ḏêl מִקְּהַ֥ל from the assembly miq·qə·hal הַגּוֹלָֽה׃ס of the exiles . hag·gō·w·lāh Ezra 10:9 לִשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת So within the three liš·lō·šeṯ הַיָּמִ֗ים days , hay·yā·mîm כָל־ all ḵāl
