כּ֚וֹרֶשׁ of Cyrus kō·w·reš מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ פָּרַ֔ס of Persia pā·ras וְעַד־ and down to wə·‘aḏ- מַלְכ֖וּת the reign mal·ḵūṯ דָּרְיָ֥וֶשׁ of Darius dā·rə·yā·weš מֶֽלֶךְ־ king me·leḵ- פָּרָֽס׃ of Persia . pā·rās Ezra 4:6 בִּתְחִלַּ֖ת At the beginning biṯ·ḥil·laṯ מַלְכוּת֑וֹ . . . mal·ḵū·ṯōw וּבְמַלְכוּת֙ of the reign ū·ḇə·mal·ḵūṯ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ of Xerxes , ’ă·ḥaš·wê·rō·wōš שִׂטְנָ֔ה an accusation śiṭ·nāh כָּתְב֣וּ was lodged kā·ṯə·ḇū עַל־ against ‘al- יֹשְׁבֵ֥י the people yō·šə·ḇê יְהוּדָ֖ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ס and Jerusalem . wî·rū·šā·lim Ezra 4:7 וּבִימֵ֣י And in the days ū·ḇî·mê אַרְתַּחְשַׁ֗שְׂתָּא of Artaxerxes [king] ’ar·taḥ·šaś·tā פָּרָ֑ס of Persia , pā·rās בִּשְׁלָ֜ם Bishlam , biš·lām מִתְרְדָ֤ת Mithredath , miṯ·rə·ḏāṯ טָֽבְאֵל֙ Tabeel , ṭā·ḇə·’êl וּשְׁאָ֣ר and the rest of ū·šə·’ār כְּנָוֹתוֹ his associates kə·nå̄·wō·ṯō כָּתַ֨ב wrote [a letter] kā·ṯaḇ עַל־ to ‘al- מֶ֣לֶךְ vvv me·leḵ אַרְתַּחְשַׁשְׂתָּא Artaxerxes . ʾar·taḥ·šaś·tå̄ וּכְתָב֙ - ū·ḵə·ṯāḇ הַֽנִּשְׁתְּוָ֔ן [It] han·niš·tə·wān כָּת֥וּב was written kā·ṯūḇ אֲרָמִ֖ית in Aramaic ’ă·rā·mîṯ וּמְתֻרְגָּ֥ם and then translated ū·mə·ṯur·gām אֲרָמִֽית׃פ - . ’ă·rā·mîṯ Ezra 4:8 רְח֣וּם Rehum rə·ḥūm בְּעֵל־ the commander bə·‘êl- טְעֵ֗ם . . . ṭə·‘êm וְשִׁמְשַׁי֙ and Shimshai wə·šim·šay סָֽפְרָ֔א the scribe sā·p̄ə·rā כְּתַ֛בוּ wrote kə·ṯa·ḇū חֲדָ֖ה [the] ḥă·ḏāh אִגְּרָ֥ה letter ’ig·gə·rāh עַל־ against ‘al- יְרוּשְׁלֶ֑ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šə·lem מַלְכָּ֖א to King mal·kā לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁ֥שְׂתְּא Artaxerxes lə·’ar·taḥ·šaśt כְּנֵֽמָא׃ as follows : kə·nê·mā Ezra 4:9 אֱדַ֜יִן - ’ĕ·ḏa·yin רְח֣וּם From Rehum rə·ḥūm בְּעֵל־ the commander bə·‘êl- טְעֵ֗ם . . . , ṭə·‘êm וְשִׁמְשַׁי֙ Shimshai wə·šim·šay סָֽפְרָ֔א the scribe , sā·p̄ə·rā וּשְׁאָ֖ר and the rest ū·šə·’ār כְּנָוָתְה֑וֹן of their associates — kə·nā·wā·ṯə·hō·wn דִּ֠ינָיֵא the judges dî·nā·yê וַאֲפַרְסַתְכָיֵ֞א and officials wa·’ă·p̄ar·saṯ·ḵā·yê טַרְפְּלָיֵ֣א over Tripolis , ṭar·pə·lā·yê אֲפָֽרְסָיֵ֗א Persia , ’ă·p̄ā·rə·sā·yê אַרְכְּוָי Erech ʾar·kə·wå̄y בָבְלָיֵא֙ and Babylon , ḇā·ḇə·lā·yê עֵלְמָיֵֽא׃ the Elamites ‘ê·lə·mā·yê שֽׁוּשַׁנְכָיֵ֔א of Susa šū·šan·ḵā·yê דִּהוּא , di·hū Ezra 4:10 וּשְׁאָ֣ר and the rest ū·šə·’ār אֻמַּיָּ֗א of the peoples ’um·may·yā דִּ֤י whom dî רַבָּ֣א the great rab·bā וְיַקִּירָ֔א and honorable wə·yaq·qî·rā אָסְנַפַּר֙ Ashurbanipal ’ā·sə·nap·par הַגְלִי֙ deported haḡ·lî וְהוֹתֵ֣ב and settled wə·hō·w·ṯêḇ הִמּ֔וֹ . . . him·mōw בְּקִרְיָ֖ה in the cities bə·qir·yāh דִּ֣י of dî שָׁמְרָ֑יִן Samaria šā·mə·rā·yin וּשְׁאָ֥ר and elsewhere ū·šə·’ār עֲבַֽר־ west ‘ă·ḇar- נַהֲרָ֖ה of the Euphrates na·hă·rāh וּכְעֶֽנֶת׃ . . . . ū·ḵə·‘e·neṯ
