2 Chronicles 35:22 יֹאשִׁיָּ֨הוּ Josiah, however , yō·šî·yā·hū פָנָ֜יו . . . p̄ā·nāw וְלֹֽא־ did not wə·lō- הֵסֵב֩ turn away hê·sêḇ מִמֶּ֗נּוּ from him ; mim·men·nū כִּ֤י instead , kî לְהִלָּחֵֽם־ in order to engage him in battle lə·hil·lā·ḥêm- בּוֹ֙ , bōw הִתְחַפֵּ֔שׂ he disguised himself . hiṯ·ḥap·pêś וְלֹ֥א He did not wə·lō שָׁמַ֛ע listen šā·ma‘ אֶל־ to ’el- נְכ֖וֹ Neco’s nə·ḵōw דִּבְרֵ֥י words diḇ·rê מִפִּ֣י from the mouth mip·pî אֱלֹהִ֑ים of God , ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיָּבֹ֕א but went way·yā·ḇō לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם to fight him lə·hil·lā·ḥêm בְּבִקְעַ֥ת on the Plain bə·ḇiq·‘aṯ מְגִדּֽוֹ׃ of Megiddo . mə·ḡid·dōw 2 Chronicles 35:23 וַיֹּרוּ֙ There the archers way·yō·rū הַיֹּרִ֔ים shot hay·yō·rîm לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ King lam·me·leḵ יֹאשִׁיָּ֑הוּ Josiah , yō·šî·yā·hū הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ who ham·me·leḵ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said way·yō·mer לַעֲבָדָיו֙ to his servants , la·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw הַעֲבִיר֔וּנִי “ Take me away , ha·‘ă·ḇî·rū·nî כִּ֥י for kî מְאֹֽד׃ I am badly mə·’ōḏ הָחֳלֵ֖יתִי wounded !” hā·ḥo·lê·ṯî 2 Chronicles 35:24 עֲבָדָ֜יו So his servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw וַיַּֽעֲבִירֻ֨הוּ took him way·ya·‘ă·ḇî·ru·hū מִן־ out min- הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֗ה of his chariot , ham·mer·kā·ḇāh וַֽיַּרְכִּיבֻהוּ֮ put him way·yar·kî·ḇu·hū עַ֣ל in ‘al הַמִּשְׁנֶה֮ his second ham·miš·neh אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- לוֹ֒ lōw רֶ֣כֶב chariot , re·ḵeḇ וַיּוֹלִיכֻ֙הוּ֙ and brought him way·yō·w·lî·ḵu·hū יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם to Jerusalem , yə·rū·šā·lim וַיָּ֕מָת where he died . way·yā·māṯ וַיִּקָּבֵ֖ר And [Josiah] was buried way·yiq·qā·ḇêr בְּקִבְר֣וֹת in the tomb bə·qiḇ·rō·wṯ אֲבֹתָ֑יו of his fathers , ’ă·ḇō·ṯāw וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl יְהוּדָה֙ Judah yə·hū·ḏāh וִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם and Jerusalem wî·rū·šā·lim מִֽתְאַבְּלִ֖ים mourned miṯ·’ab·bə·lîm עַל־ for ‘al- יֹאשִׁיָּֽהוּ׃פ [him] . yō·šî·yā·hū 2 Chronicles 35:25 יִרְמְיָהוּ֮ Then Jeremiah yir·mə·yā·hū וַיְקוֹנֵ֣ן lamented way·qō·w·nên עַל־ over ‘al- יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ֒ Josiah , yō·šî·yā·hū עַד־ and to ‘aḏ- הַיּ֔וֹם this day hay·yō·wm כָֽל־ all ḵāl הַשָּׁרִ֣ים׀ the choirs of men haš·šā·rîm וְ֠הַשָּׁרוֹת and women wə·haš·šā·rō·wṯ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ sing way·yō·mə·rū בְּקִינ֨וֹתֵיהֶ֤ם laments bə·qî·nō·w·ṯê·hem עַל־ over ‘al- יֹאשִׁיָּ֙הוּ֙ Josiah . yō·šî·yā·hū וַיִּתְּנ֥וּם They established them way·yit·tə·nūm לְחֹ֖ק as a statute lə·ḥōq עַל־ for ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וְהִנָּ֥ם and indeed wə·hin·nām כְּתוּבִ֖ים they are written kə·ṯū·ḇîm עַל־ in ‘al- הַקִּינֽוֹת׃ the Book of Laments . haq·qî·nō·wṯ 2 Chronicles 35:26 וְיֶ֛תֶר As for the rest wə·ye·ṯer דִּבְרֵ֥י of the acts diḇ·rê יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ of Josiah , yō·šî·yā·hū וַחֲסָדָ֑יו along with his deeds of loving devotion wa·ḥă·sā·ḏāw כַּכָּת֖וּב according to what is written kak·kā·ṯūḇ בְּתוֹרַ֥ת in the Law bə·ṯō·w·raṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH — Yah·weh 2 Chronicles 35:27 וּדְבָרָ֕יו his acts ū·ḏə·ḇā·rāw
