וְהָשִׁ֙יבוּ֙ and return wə·hā·šî·ḇū הַשִּׁבְיָ֔ה the captives haš·šiḇ·yāh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer שְׁבִיתֶ֖ם you took šə·ḇî·ṯem מֵאֲחֵיכֶ֑ם from your kinsmen , mê·’ă·ḥê·ḵem כִּ֛י for kî חֲר֥וֹן the fierce anger ḥă·rō·wn אַף־ . . . ’ap̄- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ס is upon you .” ‘ă·lê·ḵem 2 Chronicles 28:12 אֲנָשִׁ֜ים Then some ’ă·nā·šîm מֵרָאשֵׁ֣י of the leaders mê·rā·šê בְנֵֽי־ of the Ephraimites ḇə·nê- אֶפְרַ֗יִם . . . — ’ep̄·ra·yim עֲזַרְיָ֤הוּ Azariah ‘ă·zar·yā·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- יְהֽוֹחָנָן֙ of Jehohanan , yə·hō·w·ḥā·nān בֶּרֶכְיָ֣הוּ Berechiah be·reḵ·yā·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- מְשִׁלֵּמ֔וֹת of Meshillemoth , mə·šil·lê·mō·wṯ וִֽיחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ Jehizkiah wî·ḥiz·qî·yā·hū בֶּן־ son ben- שַׁלֻּ֔ם of Shallum , šal·lum וַעֲמָשָׂ֖א and Amasa wa·‘ă·mā·śā בֶּן־ son ben- חַדְלָ֑י of Hadlai — ḥaḏ·lāy וַיָּקֻ֨מוּ stood way·yā·qu·mū עַל־ in opposition to ‘al- הַבָּאִ֖ים those arriving hab·bā·’îm מִן־ from min- הַצָּבָֽא׃ the war . haṣ·ṣā·ḇā 2 Chronicles 28:13 לֹא־ “ You must not lō- תָבִ֤יאוּ bring ṯā·ḇî·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַשִּׁבְיָה֙ the captives haš·šiḇ·yāh הֵ֔נָּה here , ” hên·nāh וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ they said way·yō·mə·rū לָהֶ֗ם , lā·hem כִּי֩ “ for kî אַתֶּ֣ם you ’at·tem אֹמְרִ֔ים are proposing ’ō·mə·rîm לְאַשְׁמַ֨ת to bring guilt lə·’aš·maṯ עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ upon us ‘ā·lê·nū יְהוָ֤ה from YHWH Yah·weh לְהֹסִ֥יף and to add lə·hō·sîp̄ עַל־ to ‘al- חַטֹּאתֵ֖ינוּ our sins ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯê·nū וְעַל־ and wə·‘al- אַשְׁמָתֵ֑ינוּ our guilt . ’aš·mā·ṯê·nū כִּֽי־ For kî- לָ֔נוּ our lā·nū אַשְׁמָה֙ guilt ’aš·māh רַבָּ֤ה is great , rab·bāh וַחֲר֥וֹן and fierce anger wa·ḥă·rō·wn אָ֖ף . . . ’āp̄ עַל־ is upon ‘al- יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ס Israel .” yiś·rā·’êl 2 Chronicles 28:14 הֶֽחָל֗וּץ So the armed men he·ḥā·lūṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּעֲזֹ֣ב left way·ya·‘ă·zōḇ הַשִּׁבְיָה֙ the captives haš·šiḇ·yāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַבִּזָּ֔ה and the plunder hab·biz·zāh לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê הַשָּׂרִ֖ים the leaders haś·śā·rîm וְכָל־ and all wə·ḵāl הַקָּהָֽל׃ the assembly . haq·qā·hāl 2 Chronicles 28:15 הָאֲנָשִׁים֩ Then the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- נִקְּב֨וּ were designated niq·qə·ḇū בְשֵׁמ֜וֹת by name ḇə·šê·mō·wṯ וַיָּקֻ֣מוּ arose , way·yā·qu·mū וַיַּחֲזִ֣יקוּ took charge way·ya·ḥă·zî·qū בַשִּׁבְיָ֗ה of the captives , ḇaš·šiḇ·yāh וְכָֽל־ - wə·ḵāl מִן־ and provided from min- הַשָּׁלָל֒ the plunder haš·šā·lāl הִלְבִּ֣ישׁוּ clothing hil·bî·šū מַעֲרֻמֵּיהֶם֮ for the naked . ma·‘ă·rum·mê·hem וַיַּלְבִּשׁ֣וּם They clothed them , way·yal·bi·šūm וַ֠יַּנְעִלוּם gave them sandals way·yan·‘i·lūm וַיַּאֲכִל֨וּם and food way·ya·’ă·ḵi·lūm וַיַּשְׁק֜וּם and drink , way·yaš·qūm וַיְסֻכ֗וּם anointed [their wounds] , way·su·ḵūm וַיְנַהֲל֤וּם and put way·na·hă·lūm לְכָל־ all lə·ḵāl כּוֹשֵׁ֔ל the feeble kō·wō·šêl בַּחֲמֹרִים֙ on donkeys . ba·ḥă·mō·rîm
