בֶּן־ son ben- שִׁמְרִ֖ית of Shimrith šim·rîṯ הַמּוֹאָבִֽית׃ the Moabitess . ham·mō·w·’ā·ḇîṯ 2 Chronicles 24:27 וּבָנָ֞יו The accounts of the sons [of Joash] , ū·ḇā·nāw וְרֹב as well as the many wə·rōḇ הַמַּשָּׂ֣א pronouncements ham·maś·śā עָלָ֗יו about him ‘ā·lāw וִיסוֹד֙ and about the restoration wî·sō·wḏ בֵּ֣ית of the house bêṯ הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים of God , hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm הִנָּ֣ם [are] indeed hin·nām כְּתוּבִ֔ים written kə·ṯū·ḇîm עַל־ in ‘al- מִדְרַ֖שׁ the Treatise miḏ·raš סֵ֣פֶר of the Book sê·p̄er הַמְּלָכִ֑ים of the Kings . ham·mə·lā·ḵîm בְנ֖וֹ And his son ḇə·nōw אֲמַצְיָ֥הוּ Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ reigned way·yim·lōḵ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃פ in his place . taḥ·tāw 2 Chronicles 25:1 אֲמַצְיָ֔הוּ Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū עֶשְׂרִ֨ים was twenty-five ‘eś·rîm וְחָמֵ֤שׁ . . . wə·ḥā·mêš בֶּן־ years old ben- שָׁנָה֙ . . . šā·nāh מָלַ֣ךְ [when] he became king , mā·laḵ מָלַ֖ךְ and he reigned mā·laḵ בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם in Jerusalem bî·rū·šā·lim וְעֶשְׂרִ֣ים twenty-nine wə·‘eś·rîm וָתֵ֙שַׁע֙ . . . wā·ṯê·ša‘ שָׁנָ֔ה years . šā·nāh אִמּ֔וֹ His mother’s ’im·mōw וְשֵׁ֣ם name wə·šêm יְהוֹעַדָּ֖ן was Jehoaddan ; yə·hō·w·‘ad·dān מִירוּשָׁלָֽיִם׃ she was from Jerusalem . mî·rū·šā·lā·yim 2 Chronicles 25:2 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ And he did [what was] way·ya·‘aś הַיָּשָׁ֖ר right hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the eyes bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh רַ֕ק but raq לֹ֖א not lō בְּלֵבָ֥ב wholeheartedly bə·lê·ḇāḇ שָׁלֵֽם׃ . . . . šā·lêm 2 Chronicles 25:3 וַיְהִ֕י - way·hî כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר As soon as ka·’ă·šer הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה the kingdom ham·mam·lā·ḵāh חָזְקָ֥ה was firmly ḥā·zə·qāh עָלָ֑יו in his grasp , ‘ā·lāw וַֽיַּהֲרֹג֙ Amaziah executed way·ya·hă·rōḡ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲבָדָ֔יו the servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw הַמַּכִּ֖ים who had murdered ham·mak·kîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָבִֽיו׃ his father ’ā·ḇîw הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ the king . ham·me·leḵ 2 Chronicles 25:4 וְאֶת־ Yet wə·’eṯ- לֹ֣א he did not lō בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם put their sons bə·nê·hem הֵמִ֑ית to death , hê·mîṯ כִּ֣י but [acted] kî כַכָּת֣וּב according to what is written ḵak·kā·ṯūḇ בַּתּוֹרָ֡ה in the Law , bat·tō·w·rāh בְּסֵ֣פֶר in the Book bə·sê·p̄er מֹשֶׁה֩ of Moses , mō·šeh אֲשֶׁר־ where ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh לֵאמֹ֗ר . . . lê·mōr צִוָּ֨ה commanded : ṣiw·wāh אָב֤וֹת “ Fathers ’ā·ḇō·wṯ לֹא־ must not lō- יָמ֨וּתוּ be put to death yā·mū·ṯū עַל־ for ‘al- בָּנִים֙ their children , bā·nîm וּבָנִים֙ and children ū·ḇā·nîm לֹא־ must not lō- יָמ֣וּתוּ be put to death yā·mū·ṯū עַל־ for ‘al- אָב֔וֹת their fathers ; ’ā·ḇō·wṯ כִּ֛י - kî אִ֥ישׁ each ’îš יָמֽוּתוּ׃פ is to die yā·mū·ṯū בְּחֶטְא֖וֹ for his own sin .” bə·ḥeṭ·’ōw
