יֵ֚שׁ . . . yêš וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ replied , way·yō·mer לַֽיהוָ֔ה “ YHWH Yah·weh לָ֥תֶת is able to give lā·ṯeṯ לְךָ֖ you lə·ḵā הַרְבֵּ֥ה much more har·bêh מִזֶּֽה׃ than this .” miz·zeh 2 Chronicles 25:10 אֲמַצְיָ֗הוּ So Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū וַיַּבְדִּילֵ֣ם dismissed way·yaḇ·dî·lêm לְהַגְּדוּד֙ the troops lə·hag·gə·ḏūḏ אֲשֶׁר־ who ’ă·šer- בָּ֤א had come bā אֵלָיו֙ to him ’ê·lāw מֵֽאֶפְרַ֔יִם from Ephraim mê·’ep̄·ra·yim לָלֶ֖כֶת and sent them lā·le·ḵeṯ לִמְקוֹמָ֑ם home . lim·qō·w·mām וַיִּ֨חַר And they were furious way·yi·ḥar אַפָּ֤ם . . . ’ap·pām מְאֹד֙ . . . mə·’ōḏ בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה with Judah bî·hū·ḏāh וַיָּשׁ֥וּבוּ and returned way·yā·šū·ḇū לִמְקוֹמָ֖ם home lim·qō·w·mām בָּחֳרִי־ in great bā·ḥo·rî- אָֽף׃פ anger . ’āp̄ 2 Chronicles 25:11 וַאֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ Amaziah, however , wa·’ă·maṣ·yā·hū הִתְחַזַּ֔ק summoned his strength hiṯ·ḥaz·zaq וַיִּנְהַג֙ and led way·yin·haḡ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַמּ֔וֹ his troops ‘am·mōw וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ . . . way·yê·leḵ גֵּ֣יא to the Valley of Salt , gê הַמֶּ֑לַח . . . ham·me·laḥ וַיַּ֥ךְ where he struck down way·yaḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת 10,000 {} ‘ă·śe·reṯ אֲלָפִֽים׃ . . . ’ă·lā·p̄îm בְּנֵי־ men bə·nê- שֵׂעִ֖יר of Seir , śê·‘îr 2 Chronicles 25:12 בְּנֵ֣י and the army bə·nê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah yə·hū·ḏāh שָׁבוּ֙ also captured šā·ḇū וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת 10,000 [men] wa·‘ă·śe·reṯ אֲלָפִ֜ים . . . ’ă·lā·p̄îm חַיִּ֗ים alive . ḥay·yîm וַיְבִיא֖וּם They took them way·ḇî·’ūm לְרֹ֣אשׁ to the top lə·rōš הַסָּ֑לַע of a cliff has·sā·la‘ מֵֽרֹאשׁ־ . . . mê·rōš- הַסֶּ֖לַע . . . has·se·la‘ וַיַּשְׁלִיכ֛וּם and threw them down way·yaš·lî·ḵūm וְכֻלָּ֥ם so that all wə·ḵul·lām נִבְקָֽעוּ׃ס were dashed to pieces . niḇ·qā·‘ū 2 Chronicles 25:13 וּבְנֵ֣י Meanwhile ū·ḇə·nê הַגְּד֗וּד the troops hag·gə·ḏūḏ אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer אֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū הֵשִׁ֤יב had dismissed hê·šîḇ מִלֶּ֤כֶת vvv mil·le·ḵeṯ עִמּוֹ֙ vvv ‘im·mōw לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה from battle lam·mil·ḥā·māh וַֽיִּפְשְׁטוּ֙ raided way·yip̄·šə·ṭū בְּעָרֵ֣י the cities bə·‘ā·rê יְהוּדָ֔ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh מִשֹּׁמְר֖וֹן from Samaria miš·šō·mə·rō·wn וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- בֵּ֣ית vvv bêṯ חוֹר֑וֹן Beth-horon . ḥō·w·rō·wn וַיַּכּ֤וּ They struck down way·yak·kū מֵהֶם֙ . . . mê·hem שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת 3,000 [people] šə·lō·šeṯ אֲלָפִ֔ים . . . ’ă·lā·p̄îm וַיָּבֹ֖זּוּ and carried off way·yā·ḇōz·zū רַבָּֽה׃ס a great deal of rab·bāh בִּזָּ֥ה plunder . biz·zāh 2 Chronicles 25:14 וַיְהִ֗י - way·hî אַחֲרֵ֨י When ’a·ḥă·rê אֲמַצְיָ֙הוּ֙ Amaziah ’ă·maṣ·yā·hū ב֤וֹא returned ḇō·w מֵֽהַכּ֣וֹת from the slaughter mê·hak·kō·wṯ אֶת־ of ’eṯ- אֲדוֹמִ֔ים the Edomites , ’ă·ḏō·w·mîm וַיָּבֵ֗א he brought back way·yā·ḇê אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֱלֹהֵי֙ the gods ’ĕ·lō·hê בְּנֵ֣י of the Seirites bə·nê
